@@joshuaojeda9033 I get it, there’s a collector value to a limited edition set. But SureFire totally “fastened” Tony and the Microtech brand. Also, the reason I think pairing a knife, which will always be a knife, with an electronic device that was going to be obsolete trash within a year wasn’t a particularly good idea even if the light worked as advertised. Who the f came up with that, we’ll never know…
Not sure if it's the right place to ask, but is there a chance we'll see Socom updated to the Ram-lok + double row ball bearings + ti backspacer + T8 formula?
Microtech is my passion and first choice in my beloved kit (collecting or hard use). I’m confident depending on the brand to retain value at the same time be able to deliver life dependable performance. My DE full serrated Combat Troodon beside the g43x MOS rmr cc +shield mags with my Borka DE full serrated SBD are perfect for me. Ps. Convince Jr to bring back the Hydra DE full serrated please sir!
Tony, Surefire totally screwed you. The stiletto they provided for the kit is not waterproofed at all. I immersed it into 1m of water and it died after 26 seconds. When I called their customer service and they asked me why would I test such an expensive light 😂 I said perhaps because you advertise that it is IP 67 compliant? To remind everybody an IP 67 compliant device supposed to last without any damage in one meter of water depth for 30 minutes stiletto two pro lasted 26 seconds, but I love the Knife. So Tony, you should hold your suppliers responsible. I wouldn’t mind being reimbursed for the light and return it to them and just keep the knife. In case you wonder, I did order another one and just to see if their production flashlights are better and it wasn’t. I could blow air through the control panel on the flashlight body so I just returned it because there is no point in trying to test it.
Now the image losses from withdrawing from this project will be probably greater than leaving the matter as it is. Those who bought it will be trying to prove to themselves and those around them that it's a great device, which is already visible at the comments, and now they will be even less happy to test it. I would suggest that in the future MK should choose its partners better. @CBRx thank you for testing it. EDIT: logically... If the contract between Microtech and Surefire did not specify that the flashlight must meet the IP67 standard, then this is not an issue for Microtech. If the product documentation includes a note about this, the product does not meet the specifications and must be returned to the manufacturer. If they only brag about it on the website, the refund may be a matter of ... state regulations? Correct me if I'm wrong.
@CuttingBoardRx Well, that's weak. So Surefire is obliged to deliver the flashlight as specified or return the money. From what you wrote, the first scenario is rather beyond their capabilities.
Maybe I should treat myself for Christmas.
Nice kit.
Looking forward to the tricks up your sleeve for 2025! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!🎄🎅🎉
Just got one of these from Eknives. Should arrive Monday supposedly. I can’t wait!
Don’t take the flashlight anywhere near the water.
@@CuttingBoardRx I saw your test on it before I bought it actually 🤣

@CuttingBoardRx just come out with, you like to hate on Tony because he wins more at life than you
@@CuttingBoardRxridiculous take. It's a cool collab as there is no Surefire knife and no Microtech Light. D1 hating for no reason.

Nah washers
Dirac Delta please. In multiple colors - thank you.
Just ordered this version, excited to get it. Microtech has out innovated their peers lately, the other guys seem to be falling way behind.

@@mgm562 IP67 is clearly stated in the manual that came with the set. In print.

Microtech please reply I had sent a design call the rhino and I was wondering if you were going to make it
I have one of the original Luminary set. Awesome
So your a sucker that over paid 1500 for a 300$ flashlight and 500$ knife
Nah 1500 dollars?
to much, I own 3 of theirs .. to much for this tho
It doesn't want to sell out? Maybe it's cause this flashlight is such crap?
How so?
It's a good light. Just too much money.
@@-joe-davidson CBRx tested, you'll find.
Surefire for a weapon, Klarus for edc.

Naming a Chinese brand flashlight isn't a good argument. It just sounds like you hate Surefire because you're poor.
How about ya make customer service and qc up to your volume first hmm
