@@Kianski Yeah well, I prefer not to touch it, if anything wrong happens related to airbags / steering, they will say it's because I changed the sterring wheel and didn't replug the cable correctly or whatsoever so I'd rather be safe on this side ^^ Not my first planned upgrade anyway :D
Very helpful video - thanks (although I'm not sure how you can work in that pig sty of a shop - LOL). I'm tempted to replace the stock wheel in my '23, but worried that I may not like whatever wheel I chose. Could you comment on the things that you like (or dislike) with this particular wheel? Is the difference in actual driving significant? Better grip?
The stock wheel was too thin for my liking and always bothered me. I felt like I had less control of the car and this thicker one completely fixed that problem. The steering wheel is the #1 touch point (shift knob being second) so having the right parts makes a significant difference. Wouldn’t say more grip but more confidence during spirited driving. Looks better too IMO.
Gotta say nice upgrade, also love the ND
Thanks, it really does make a huge difference. Even though I'm used to it, I still find myself thinking, "yes...yes this is nice."
Cool video! Probably gonna do the same when my warranty is expired!
Awesome! Although this won’t impact your warranty outside of maybe the steering buttons failing to work which is unlikely.

@@Kianski Thanks. Yes, it's odd that Mazda doesn't provide a better wheel with this particular car.
Nice work! What model is the steering?
It’s a Ken Style wheel from Japan.
your video made swapping the wheel a breeze. i'm mad that my kenstyle wheel did not come with candy and the plastic tool =(
Really? I wonder if they forgot. Looks like you got it sorted regardless!
