Yep it's really important to get your tyre pressure correct... My tyre pressures are 18 front and 28 rear for my Royal Enfield Bullet 500....👍 Keep up the good work 🤖!
    Bye Stuart 🙂🇬🇧

Very timely. I check once per month, and as the weather gets colder, the pressure definitely goes down faster. I wish the valve on the back tire of my GTS were a bit easier to get at.

I agree about the back valves

@@smallgoddess Best thing to do is find (1) a pressure gauge with a low profile that works in tight spaces; digital gauges are better at this than stick-style gauges; and/or (2) a gauge/air chuck like Robot's: not cheap, but accurate *and* quick to use, since you can raise or lower pressure on-the-fly, with good accuracy.

It’s a rubber stem so you can flex the stem sideways a little

I have a hand held inflator that you can preset and it cuts out at the desired pressure. It's powered by rechargeable battery like you get on power tools. Not cheap to but for a GTS I find it indispensable. They all seem to loose pressure pretty quick but my last GTS was a nightmare. It was six years old when I sold it and was told it could do with new rims. I put tubes in the tubeless tyres and it stopped loosing air. I believe SIP scooters have no problem with this solution. My local garage certainly didn't.

What pressure do you recommend on a GTS with Topcase and second passenger on front and back tires?

it is always good have a little help..!!, the other day I inflated my tyres with the recommended pressure and felt the GTS a little hard riding in the streets.

Hey Robot! Any idea how much my tired should be inflated on my 2022 Piaggio Liberty 150? I’m sure they’re too low because my gas mileage has dropped since I stored it in the winter.

2002 Vespa ET4, Pirelli SL38 tires, is that included in your pressure recommendation for "most modern Vespas"? Manual and glovebox sticker say 19/26 (1up) 23/29 (2up) psi front/rear. That's a somewhat big difference to what's mentioned in the video. Thanks!

Robot, do you happen to have a video on how to change tire valve stems?

  • @kalakachi1

Robot can you make a video showing hot to adjust or check headlight is correctly aligned. The manual is not much of a guideline at least for my 2021 Vespa Sprint 150. Thanks

Seems obvious to us seasoned riders but a great overlooked tip for new riders 👍

Interesting: On my 2015 GTS300 Super, I've followed the instructions labeled on the inside of the "glovebox" door on the legshield, which specifies 26psi front/29psi rear (solo, no passenger/top-box). Haven't checked the VIN plate, since…well, the tire-pressure info *was* inside the glovebox. Since my GTS is more-or-less a "daily" machine for me, I have a compressor to do a quick weekly/bi-weekly top-off when needed, and anything more than 2psi down from recommended pressure makes me a tad nervous (chalk this up to 40+ years as a cyclist in NYC). My el-cheapo combo pressure-gauge/air-chuck is "okay" in terms of general accuracy, but I think I'll be investing in the one Robot uses at the shop for the sake of fast "no-brainer" top-ups. (Pro tip for others following this: keep that valve-cap on fairly tight: I didn't believe it at first, but it *does* make a difference in terms of reducing pressure-loss.)

Thanks for chiming in, sounds like you're on top of things! And yes, we recommend making sure you keep the cap on tight, or have one at all! The valve itself can come loose or fail.

I recently bought a battery powered (USB rechargeable) air pump from Xiaomi/Mi. It’s about 50 USD, fairly small and weighs just less than half a kilo. Great for keeping in the glovebox for easy access both in the garage and on trips for those fast no-brainer top-ups, especially if you don’t have room for a full compressor.

I don't understand what he wants to tell. How many psi will the front tire be? Vespa gts 250.If there are passengers in the rear, how many psi will the tire air be?
