I don't usually have this issue, regularly I just sit back and listen without putting any effort but this time around I found it really hard to focus. I´ve always wanted to know more about the lore of the game but have had a hard time finding something that could keep my attention focused for long enough to really remember it. You are fantastic. My floating skull friend disapproves of Alleria. At the end of the Triumvirate dungeon he says she has no idea the kind if powers she's dabbling with, "One slip, and she will lose herself".
Arguable, since (and I assume you're referring to her ongoing experimentation with the Val'kyr) we at least know what those are. Now whether she's been lied to by the Old Gods when she tried to kill herself with Saronite is up for debate.
Shouldn't Void Elves be a class not a race? Void Elf hunter: "I mastered the power of the void, and I struggle daily to bend it to my will. But when I fight I'd rather use a bow..." It's the same with Lightforged... Lightforged warrior: "I am a chosen of the light! But when I fight I don't like using it..."
hahas95 It's like the twilights hammer cultists. They infuse themselves with the gifts of the old Gods. Also it's similar to blood elves who all wield magic as part of the addiction but often are rangers, etc.
Void elf marksman hunters do their artifact questline and help track down the years long lost Alleria who taught them how to use shadow just a few hours ago....

The connection between Dar'Khan Drathir and the void is of extreme interest. Could he possibly have succumbed to the whispers of Yogg-Saron, who led him to set the events of Northrend in motion by allowing the Scourge entry into Silvermoon and the Sunwell?
I doubt is. He was power hungry that is it. He was promised power by Arthas so he betrayed his people. If had been working with the void the whole time he would not have need a price only a reason.

These Void elves are a disaster waiting to happen. I still can't believe they made void elves a thing. Wait till they are left with the Lightforged alone in a room... oh man.
Come on now think about it, your comparing demons whispering to ancient twisted Old gods... I think the difference is massive. This gods have twisted the minds of titans and now blizzards expects us to believe that these pitiful elves that struggled with addiction can now overcome the will of a Old god? Yeah, that's not gonna happen. This is bad story lore, no one should trust them. I don't even think the death knights would trust them, and they were hated when they tried to return back home to their respective factions.
Lugz X Old God? It’s not the Old Gods whispering to them. It’s the void that whispers to them. Which you can argue is not an evil force so much as a destructive force. Also, as we saw in the video, there have been an entire races that have been exposed to the Void and remained in control. This is nothing new.
Ah your right it isn't old gods...it's their god the VOID! XD and the differance just got even BIGGER! And no, it's only 1 race before this void elf race that survived their exposure to them and that's the ethereals, but not all of them escaped the madness as you seen they still are a threat.
The unlock for this race and learning the lore makes me a want a void class that’s not shadowpreist. Also the intro itself kinda felt more like a class introduction than a race intro.
Nice video Nobbel, as expected always. But to me, void elves joining Alliance doesn’t make sense at all. I don’t know why even blood elves are involved, it could be high elves. So void elves are basically exiled blood elves who are exiled high elves who are exiled night elves who are exiled night elves from Suramar? It’s exileception boi.
Well the void elves can't come to the horde because they can't coexist with the sunwell. Since Azeroth is a binary faction systems, the alliance is the only place they can go but I agree. It seem crazy to have light forge and void filled races on the same side. It's infighting waiting to happen.

Brandon Instenes yeah I’m always up for talking about WOW! Lol So I think it’s def cool how they came up with the whole void elves thing so that they could tie them in with the alliance. However, as a die hard Horde player and Sylvanas fan, I’m obviously disappointed that Alleria is still sticking to the alliance. I’m just so excited to see how it all plays out. Brandon Instenes Yeah actually I do think it’s improving. Honestly MoP and WoD were so bad, so I think Legion and from the looks of things so far, Battle for Azeroth are going to be so much better. I’m really excited for battle. I’ve never played alliance, but I am heavily considering playing a void elf, but it’s going to be hard abandoning my blood elf pally, she is so bad ass and I feel like a traitor playing another faction😂 I know that’s silly 🤷♀️So what do u think? Did u like mop and wod? Those 2 expansions did make me feel like wow was dying, but I personally feel like it’s making a big comeback, so overall I am very happy with the direction it’s taking. Oh and I think the idea of playable sub races is pure genius!
fdgdfgdf fdg the first one more than likely. Scarlet crusaders use the holy light because they BELIEVE their path is the correct path, as long as you believe in what you are fighting for is good the light will aid you, it’s when you start doubting in your actions that the light will start fading.
He also massacred countless people to stop the undead but, what cost him the light was Frostmourne. When he picked it up it drained his soul meaning he was a souless being. His book even says he losses it here.
I find it kind of dissapointing for Turalyon and Alleria to become just normal members of the alliance again. I thought they would be above the "horde vs alliance" thing, like Khadgar or the Dragon Aspects. It would also have been fitting for Alleria to remain neutral. This way we would have one Windrunner sister for each faction plus Alleria who deals with "greater problems" than factions.
This race is so hard to place. They don't really fit in alliance, but theyre also clearly exiled by horde. If it wasnt for Alleria, I feel theyd be an awesome BFA faction like the illidari
I like how with the Narru turning to their dark side in times of great peril it portrays the idea that the most holy/righteous will do what they have to do to survive. And it's all 2 sides of the same coin
Ian Saalinger for Night elf using arcane is actually addressed into the lore with the return of the Highborne in their society during Cataclysm. As for humans dunno. And void elves lorewise it’s not possible for them to use the light, but gameplay it is.

The titans aren't the void lord counterparts. How could you get that wrong?? It's the light. Titan represent law and the demons represent chaos. It's on the picture thingy you showed
sombodi200 No. Beings oposite to Void Lords are still unknow. Titans are force of Order and oposite to them is Fel with demon as Chaos. V Lords are prime beings of voids and Prime Beings of Light are still unknow cause even Xera has "creator"behind her.
Well, IIRC Tyr, a titan creature, thaught humans how to use the light, which led me to belive the light, at least in the way humans, dwarfs and gnomes, wield it in game, to be of titan origin.
lol, no. Titans can use light, that's how Tyr taught someone to wield it. It doesn't matter if you're being of arcane of being of flesh like humans, you can still weild light. and btw, it's all written in Chronicles: Titans are created by explosion of light and void. Just like demons are created. Just like existence is created. Just like Twisting Nether is created. Light cannot be "titan origin".
Łukasz Chudzik Didn't Khadgar pull a book out of his ass that said her creator was Elune, possibly making her the opposite of the void lords. It's why we used the Tears of Elune on the Xera core to unlock her or whatever.
That was wonderful. It's very very Star Wars Dark Side! The cinematics and story is very much like an expansion cinematic too. This could get me to come back to WoW for awhile. I have a free month from my gold already but I could see buying the expansion after I finish the Legion story with said free month! Thank you.
In my opinion they should’ve just given the Alliance the High Elf model but Void form as a purple skin. It would’ve made sense cuz then they can apply that the VE came from those High Elves that were part of Vareesa’s Silver Covenant. Rather than BE exiles lol. It also would’ve been better cuz then those Alliance who wanted the High Elves can finally get theirs (to an extent) lol.
Brandon Instenes they can tweak the High Elf version as they did with the Nightborne models. Blizz fed us a lore that came out of nowhere. When the Alliance community have reluctantly over the years have been wanting the HE for the Alliance. Despite my main being Horde, it’s a slap to the Alliance and the Horde. Cuz the whole void thing makes no sense when we have locks and shadow priests within my faction. A slap to the Alliance who wanted the HE.
Brandon Instenes And to add that, the VE’s I’ve come across in PvP look like DKs. It almost made me not attack them, cuz I got confused for a second. So I’m pretty sure that whole they look like BE is just dumb. They look like BE DKs w different hair. They can do the same for the High Elf models as well. Look at the Highmountain. They run around Org and I still see them the same as the Tauren. Lol
Yes. Also nobody cares about "visual difference". There's no visual difference since Pandaria, with Pandaren joining both sides! You can have 2 identical pandaren fighting each other. And the same goes for void and blood elves now! They are not different one bit, except the void elves are blue, wow! So, it's like widowmaker from overwatch? They choked on a baguette?
And all the Lightforged should be Priests and Paladins, right? Wrong, they were their own classes and got branded by the Naaru, that's all it is. Same here, all elves dabble in magic, has nothing to do with their preferred method of combat, so a group of them who fight in various different ways tried to study Void magic and ended up getting corrupted, the end.
Can’t wait to see Alleria go insane with Void magic, the great and powerful Deathwing couldn’t handle the whispers, what makes this little elf any better?
now that the possibility to control the void exists, do you believe that there could be a new class in the likes of a dark paladin? using the void instead of the dark as it source of power opens up a very interesting path
Great Video as always but you missed one dialouge when you entered the first portal, it was when umbric and the other elfs changed und you could hear his voice turning to this void-ish way. keep being awesome! :)
Still dont get the whole Alliance being quick to recruit Blood Elves and Blood Elves being so quick to join the Alliance. Especially when these elves could easily one day cause a true catastrophe; wiping out the entirety of Azeroth or giving the void lords(or whomever) access to the sleeping titan now that is vulnerable due to plunging his sword so deep that Azeroth bleeds. An open wound that can be infected.
Alliance Blood Elves were created inside Blizzard Headquarters during the development of the seventh expansion because the franchises desperately needed more sentient species.
Wowjedi Well they didn't truly do anything wrong by exiling the future Void Elves. Just as Rommath said, anyone who treats with the Void is a danger to the Sunwell, and the Blood Elves depend on the Sunwell. If the future Void Elves would not give up their studies in spite of the danger they posed to their most sacred place, then its their fault they got exiled, not the Blood Elves'
WowJedi The other races do the same as well anyway, for example the Humans of the Kirin Tor exiled Kel'thuzad from Dalaran when he started playing with necromantic magic long ago...
They didn't exile Alleria just because of her void magic. She came as an envoy of the High King in an attempt to recruit for the Alliance (their enemy). And she openly mocked the Regent Lord over him declining that offer. She's made up her mind long before going to Silvermoon. She is now Alliance fangirl number one. And even after all this and the incident at the Sunwell, Lorthemar still adressed her calmly. She was kindly sent back to her new home.
@@bindair_dundat Alleria was Alliance from the start brah, so were all the Sindorei then...which is why Vereesa Windrunner is Alliance. Alleria went through the portal as part of the Alliance and came back to her people who were suddenly no longer in the Alliance.

I noticed in the starting area for void elves they're is high elf NPCs along with the blood elves. I thought it was suppose to be all belfs minus alleria.
The Silver Covenant (Lead by Vereesa Windrunner) was founded by exiled High Elves who did not share the mana addition and didn't follow Kael'thas to became Blood Elves, and still consistent of High Elves to this day. Also a bunch of High Elves still lives in various zones like the Hinterlands.
I don't think people got what I ment haha what I'm saying is in the void elf starting zone there are high elves studying the void along side the blood elves! But like you guys said high elves didn't follow the blood elves they're a different faction so why are they at the void elf starting zone? Blizzard said void elves use to be blood elves not high elves. So why are these high elves there? Are they hardcore Alleria followers? Or just high elves who have studied the void and now have a safe pace to study it with their some what kin.
No, I mean exactly what I said high elves suffered from withdrawal when the Sunwell was fouled but the Blood Elves were the ones that couldn't overcome their addiction and resorted to fel magic to sate their cravings until the Sunwell was restored. The ones that didn't give in to their addiction and learned to deal with it remained Quel'Dorei.
The Horde gets some slightly different tauren, and some other night elves. The Alliance gets the manifestation of light and darkness as races. Does this seem slightly unbalanced?
you mean slightly different blood elves and some other draenei? And besides, I think they are just those races infused and controlling the power of element, not exactly the manifestation of element itself
It sounds like a recipe for disaster for the Alliance. The fools have polar opposites fighting for the same side, powered by entities that stop at nothing to make their will be done. How do you suppose this will turn out for them?
What do you mean? The Alliance gets a light-infused spaceship overlooking the world, and they get void-infused beings that can possibly make the bloodelves have that addiction.
Well I'm just saying it feels a little unfair to the horde. The alliance gets two bad ass races... the horde gets a different flavor of steak and some more mana dependent elves.

If Sargeras wants to destroy planets who are already corrupted, then that would explain his invasion of Azeroth. What if Sargeras came to Azeroth because he knew Azeroth is starting to get corrupted? What if the Azeroth is in pain because of the void influence?

I think that some members of the Twilight hammer or another Void aligned Facttion will drain all of the Void magic from Alleria's body that being her third "death" then opening a portal or helping to complete a ritual that calls forth the old gods in unshackled state

So this might be kind of a late comment, but I got a drop in silo this after the end of legion. The item is called ogmot’s dream journal, and it refers to three lies, such as the whispers of ilgonoth. It also refers to a dagger of some sort, which might be xal atath, the priest artifact weapon. I just thought you should know cause I thought it was pretty cool.
The 10% of the 10% that survived the Silvermoon purge. So essentially 9% of the high elves survuved and became blood elves while 1% stayed High elves like Varessa Windrunner.
You know, in a way the Void Elves are the true continuation of the Blood Elf legacy. The Night elves that tampered with the Well of Eternity and tried to summon Sargeras, or rather the rebels who realized they had made a huge mistake, eventually continued their arcane arts despite the lower class of Night Elves banning it, leading to the exile of the Highborn. Then the Highborn stole vials from the Well of Eternity that Illidan had made and took them to make the Sunwell. Becoming High Elves in the process and after their treatment by the Alliance becoming Blood Elves. Eventually those Blood Elves tampered with magic they shouldn't have and fed off of M'uru, eventually turning it into a being of Void. And then once again the Blood Elves that would not listen to the warnings of their people chose to pursue shadows and became Void Elves. Every single time, they are punished for their actions and the next group does not learn from the lessons of their ancestors. It's a little funny, but mostly sad commentary on the obsession many elves have with power. Illidan himself was so obsessed with it he became part-demon and created a whole caste of demon hunters just like him of both Night Elf and Blood Elf lineage. And let us not forget the Nightborne, who became so dependent on the Nightwell's energies to survive they were at the mercy of a tyrant when Elisande struck a bargain with the Legion. Though one can hardly blame them for not realizing they could have stopped feeding off the Nightwell and taken down the barrier. Perhaps it may have saved their race. It certainly preserved their city and culture perfectly and made for one of the most fascinating zones I've ever explored in an expansion.
Does Anduin not understand that 99% of void elves were once members of the Alliance?? He's like "hi welcome to the alliance" as if he's some kid that forgot about the Alliance of Lordaeron and the involvement of the Quel'dorei. It's kinda adorable.
I have to say .. from what i have seen and heard from anuin .. i don't think he is ready to be a leader yet.... and it is sad to see someone unexpierenced like anduin leading the Alliance ._____.

There is so many enemies within the alliance now that when the betrayal happens the alliance is going to be at each other's throats. This might mark the beginning of a new third faction. The idea has been kicked around for some time now.
Nah, she'll be fine. She is Alliance, Turalyon's waifu and a racial leader. Blizzard wouldn't want to weaken the Alliance. They are already overwhelmed with rage over losing Darnassus, even though they got Gilneas and Lordaeron back.
Hey nobble theres something i dont understand, we had shadow priest since vanilla, and no1 batted an eye, now there are void elves and everyone looses there mind (lore wise), whats the difference, are s priest and void elves basically using the same power?
I wonder if the loss of her heritage to silvermoon, (her visit to silvermoon) is considered her third death. It would weave nicely the old God's entering this world through the void elves. Corrupting the inheritors of the Titan's power.
I like how all other classes also fit in the void elf concept, as for the blood elf they didnt reject the arcane magic becouse they though it can be used for good even if it did something bad in the past, or that they just wanted power, and if everyone that had conectiions to umbric and his void teachings was banished, same probably hapened to hunter that though void can help him a bit on hunt, warrior that though that thanks to void he can defend his home better, that even if it did something bad in the past it still can serve for good. Its funnny how story repets itself. And also thanks to that void elf hunter can be rp thing and not just mage and shadow priest .
I found it interesting that the Elven guy specifically said "boy-king". I know the term might be popular, but it always has me think back to Il'gynoth and gets me suspicious of anyone who uses the phrase.

Lugz X Old God? It’s not the Old Gods whispering to them. It’s the void that whispers to them. Which you can argue is not an evil force so much as a destructive force. Also, as we saw in the video, there have been an entire races that have been exposed to the Void and remained in control. This is nothing new.

The unlock for this race and learning the lore makes me a want a void class that’s not shadowpreist. Also the intro itself kinda felt more like a class introduction than a race intro.

Well the void elves can't come to the horde because they can't coexist with the sunwell. Since Azeroth is a binary faction systems, the alliance is the only place they can go but I agree. It seem crazy to have light forge and void filled races on the same side. It's infighting waiting to happen.

I’ve never played alliance, but I am heavily considering playing a void elf, but it’s going to be hard abandoning my blood elf pally, she is so bad ass and I feel like a traitor playing another faction😂 I know that’s silly 🤷♀️So what do u think? I find it kind of dissapointing for Turalyon and Alleria to become just normal members of the alliance again. I thought they would be above the "horde vs alliance" thing, like Khadgar or the Dragon Aspects.
It would also have been fitting for Alleria to remain neutral. This way we would have one Windrunner sister for each faction plus Alleria who deals with "greater problems" than factions.
They were both Alliance zealots from the beginning so it's fitting.

Well, IIRC Tyr, a titan creature, thaught humans how to use the light, which led me to belive the light, at least in the way humans, dwarfs and gnomes, wield it in game, to be of titan origin.

That was wonderful. It's very very Star Wars Dark Side! The cinematics and story is very much like an expansion cinematic too. This could get me to come back to WoW for awhile. In my opinion they should’ve just given the Alliance the High Elf model but Void form as a purple skin. It would’ve made sense cuz then they can apply that the VE came from those High Elves that were part of Vareesa’s Silver Covenant. Rather than BE exiles lol.

Still dont get the whole Alliance being quick to recruit Blood Elves and Blood Elves being so quick to join the Alliance. Especially when these elves could easily one day cause a true catastrophe; wiping out the entirety of Azeroth or giving the void lords(or whomever) access to the sleeping titan now that is vulnerable due to plunging his sword so deep that Azeroth bleeds. An open wound that can be infected.
It's about edgy people who use evil powers but aren't evil. We had that with demon hunters and they wanted a new thing like that...

They didn't exile Alleria just because of her void magic. She came as an envoy of the High King in an attempt to recruit for the Alliance (their enemy). And she openly mocked the Regent Lord over him declining that offer. She's made up her mind long before going to Silvermoon. She is now Alliance fangirl number one. And even after all this and the incident at the Sunwell, Lorthemar still adressed her calmly. She was kindly sent back to her new home.
@@bindair_dundat Alleria was Alliance from the start brah, so were all the Sindorei then...which is why Vereesa Windrunner is Alliance. Alleria went through the portal as part of the Alliance and came back to her people who were suddenly no longer in the Alliance.

There are still High Elves in Dalaran with the other Windrunner sister as their leader who are sided with the Alliance.
I noticed in the starting area for void elves they're is high elf NPCs along with the blood elves. I thought it was suppose to be all belfs minus alleria.
The Silver Covenant (Lead by Vereesa Windrunner) was founded by exiled High Elves who did not share the mana addition and didn't follow Kael'thas to became Blood Elves, and still consistent of High Elves to this day. Also a bunch of High Elves still lives in various zones like the Hinterlands.
The Quel'Dorei still suffered from addiction, they just didn't feed their addiction afterwards with fel magic.
I don't think people got what I ment haha what I'm saying is in the void elf starting zone there are high elves studying the void along side the blood elves! But like you guys said high elves didn't follow the blood elves they're a different faction so why are they at the void elf starting zone? Blizzard said void elves use to be blood elves not high elves. So why are these high elves there? Are they hardcore Alleria followers? Or just high elves who have studied the void and now have a safe pace to study it with their some what kin.
No, I mean exactly what I said high elves suffered from withdrawal when the Sunwell was fouled but the Blood Elves were the ones that couldn't overcome their addiction and resorted to fel magic to sate their cravings until the Sunwell was restored. The ones that didn't give in to their addiction and learned to deal with it remained Quel'Dorei.

The Horde gets some slightly different tauren, and some other night elves. The Alliance gets the manifestation of light and darkness as races. Does this seem slightly unbalanced?

So this might be kind of a late comment, but I got a drop in silo this after the end of legion. The item is called ogmot’s dream journal, and it refers to three lies, such as the whispers of ilgonoth. It also refers to a dagger of some sort, which might be xal atath, the priest artifact weapon. I just thought you should know cause I thought it was pretty cool.

What i found interesting was that in the Void Elf starting zone there were high elves too
The 10% of the 10% that survived the Silvermoon purge. So essentially 9% of the high elves survuved and became blood elves while 1% stayed High elves like Varessa Windrunner.
You know, in a way the Void Elves are the true continuation of the Blood Elf legacy.
The Night elves that tampered with the Well of Eternity and tried to summon Sargeras, or rather the rebels who realized they had made a huge mistake, eventually continued their arcane arts despite the lower class of Night Elves banning it, leading to the exile of the Highborn. Then the Highborn stole vials from the Well of Eternity that Illidan had made and took them to make the Sunwell. Becoming High Elves in the process and after their treatment by the Alliance becoming Blood Elves. Eventually those Blood Elves tampered with magic they shouldn't have and fed off of M'uru, eventually turning it into a being of Void. And then once again the Blood Elves that would not listen to the warnings of their people chose to pursue shadows and became Void Elves.
Every single time, they are punished for their actions and the next group does not learn from the lessons of their ancestors. It's a little funny, but mostly sad commentary on the obsession many elves have with power. Illidan himself was so obsessed with it he became part-demon and created a whole caste of demon hunters just like him of both Night Elf and Blood Elf lineage.
And let us not forget the Nightborne, who became so dependent on the Nightwell's energies to survive they were at the mercy of a tyrant when Elisande struck a bargain with the Legion. Though one can hardly blame them for not realizing they could have stopped feeding off the Nightwell and taken down the barrier. Perhaps it may have saved their race. It certainly preserved their city and culture perfectly and made for one of the most fascinating zones I've ever explored in an expansion.
The best way to enjoy this is to move the speed to 1.5 and go for the fullscreen.. :3

There is so many enemies within the alliance now that when the betrayal happens the alliance is going to be at each other's throats. This might mark the beginning of a new third faction. The idea has been kicked around for some time now.

I like how all other classes also fit in the void elf concept, as for the blood elf they didnt reject the arcane magic becouse they though it can be used for good even if it did something bad in the past, or that they just wanted power, and if everyone that had conectiions to umbric and his void teachings was banished, same probably hapened to hunter that though void can help him a bit on hunt, warrior that though that thanks to void he can defend his home better, that even if it did something bad in the past it still can serve for good. Its funnny how story repets itself. And also thanks to that void elf hunter can be rp thing and not just mage and shadow priest .
