- I hit Clearwater Beach again! Woo! I did some metal detecting with the Fisher CZ-21. The hunt didn't produce, well, much of anything. But it was still a beautiful day! Enjoy!

I've had this detector before and really liked it. I used a belt clip to hold the housing unit which made for a lighter swing of the detector.

I found a channel with 49 of my videos. Funny thing is they were not monetized, no title changes. Have you started the tedious process of having them removed? Just wondering if it worked for you yet?
Oh yea? Bummer on that. Weird that they weren't monetized, otherwise, what's the point? I've not checked if these channels doing mine were monetized or not. I've done it twice so far. The first I claimed privacy issues because the videos showed my face without my permission. TH-cam didn't side with me. I just submitted a claim last week stating copyright because they re-uploaded my videos. I've not heard anything back, good or bad. I only did one claim to see what happens. TH-cam says if you submit false claims, it'll terminate your channel! Eek! So I'm waiting to see what happens. If it works, I'll submit the rest.
That was my concern...jeopardizing my own channel. Surely it would be obvious who owns it or not. Oh well, I'm going to try it too. Thanks for your time.
Yea. So far TH-cam hasn't said anything to me, good or bad. So I guess that's good. I'm going to check that channel and see if the videos were taken down. Fingers crossed!

I only reported one channel. On the form you can only list like 12 videos at a time. So I listed the first 12 on the other persons channel and submitted the claim. Like 2 weeks later, the entire channel was gone! And I had 4 other channels that were stealing my videos. After I submitted that one claim, three of those channels were gone. I'm thinking they were made by the same person. Maybe when they got word from youtube, they took down all three channels. Not sure though. I submitted a second claim on that 4th channel last week so I imagine in a few days, that channel will also be gone. But each channel stole ALL my videos, which is like 60 videos.

It’s a tough decision between a CZ-21 and an Excalibur II. The CZ is a little deeper, has the all metal pinpoint if you want/need it, and can usually be scored a little cheaper. On the other hand I love the audio of the Excalibur II. There’s nothing like the sound of an Excalibur under the water. I also love the bright beautiful colors. It’s much sleeker in design. Makes you want to grab it and get out there. My solution, own them both!

Right you are! I agree with you there and you really can't beat spending a day at the beach. Hahaha. :)
Beach was sanded in... if you are digging lots of light stuff and the sand is deep, find a better spot or wait for conditions to change. CZ is a great machine in the water... on dry sand it's dreadfully heavy. Under shaft mount or chest mount is mandatory.

The reason the button for pinpoint is activated by touch and not pressure is due to the fact that if used on a deeper scuba dive it would be possible that water pressure would activate the button and place it in pinpoint mode. Anyway, as always I enjoyed your video

I just applied a leak seal rubber coating to my tesero compadre coil...couldn't find a coil cover ,so I made my own..

Your camera produces such beautiful video! What kind is it & about how much did you pay for it? Thanks for reporting on all these detectors! I'm going to be searching for one that can do salt water early next year as the one I have works only on land and non salt water locations!

I'll be trying out the Tesoro Sand Shark in a few days and that costs around $600 on Kellyco right now. And I'll also be trying out a Viper Trident in a few weeks. That's currently going for $140 on Kellyco. I know what you mean about them being expensive. Not everyone can afford that so it's good to try out others that are more cost affective. :)

As usual, enjoyed your video. And just like fishing, you're never sure of what, if anything, you'll end up with. Sorry that your haul was trash only today. ( Gee, perhaps you'll need to add disclaimer...Parental Guidance Advised. :) By the way, the CZ-21's pinpointer function really seems to ring out well and seems to do its job well at pinpointing an object. Have you ever tried just using it as your main search function as opposed to just using it to pinpoint after you've hit on a signal?

I believe there's a hotel not far from them. I don't see why I wouldn't be able to detect around them. Probably the best time would be at night after they are all put away. :)

You want to check out the volley ball area when they're done! It's a great place to find lost rings, etc... All those people slapping balls fling rings and jewelry, not to mention jumping people empty pockets lol. Found my best gold ring on a volley ball beach area. HH

That depends on what beach you're planning on hunting. In the Tampa area, no permits or permission are needed. But some beaches do have restrictions such as you can only hunt between the current water line and the dunes. Some beaches slightly north like in Pasco county have time restrictions where you can only hunt from dawn-9 am and then from 5pm-dusk. Some beaches on the east coast have the same restrictions with the tide line and the dunes. Which beach are you heading to? Well thank you! And thanks for watching.

Oh ok. Well unfortunately, I don't know anything about those areas. :( You're best bet would be to Google it, also check out metal detecting forums which will pull up during your google search. You could also call park rangers at specific beach parks and ask them directly. Better safe than sorry!
The CZ is a great beach machine, you just need to concentrate on the high and mid tones. CZ's don't give you information overload and if you are quick at digging targets, this lets you recover more targets per hour. This is not a knock against the Excalibur, it's just what I found to be the most effective way to beach hunt with a CZ. I hope TH-cam straightens out the issue with other people reposting your videos.

Well, I really enjoyed hunting with it. The pin point feature was amazing. It seems like most people don't like the pin point but I did. But, for the price, I don't think I'd pick the CZ-21 over a machine like the Excal. I think the Excal is more user friendly.

Good point on what you find when detecting. The majority of digs you are lucky to find a couple bucks in coins. I've had many where I came home with a penny or two. TV shows about detecting are a filtering of just the good finds and many hours of detecting were necessary to get those. For me it's getting outside, a bit of exercise and the adventure of "possibly" finding something good. BTW we now have snow and winter seems to be in full bloom :( So I will have to watch you until the thaw for my detecting fix ;) HH

There was this new show about detectorists in the jungle or something (I only watched part of one episode because it was SO scripted!) There was more drama about everything BUT the actual detecting! Sorry to hear about your videos being posted on other channels. I put my logo watermark out on all my videos for that express purpose of putting my mark on the video just to counter theft of my intellectual property. You work hard on your content and it's wrong when other people take it, so having that watermark on your all your videos does add a polished touch and also makes it just a little more difficult to rip off the video...
Oh - I also ordered the raptor handle. I have an aluminum scoop and having that on there should help a lot. One thing I am going to add to my scoop is bicycle handle tape because that aluminum will get all over your hands and it is a bear to get it off after a hunt - lol. The advantage of the aluminum scoop though is how light it is, so it is worth the extra effort to add a few things to improve it.
Great video as usual - Liked the CZ - did you ever get comfortable with the ground balance and all the different sounds that machine makes?
Yea, it sucks but I guess it comes with the territory. :( Yea, that's good thinking. I'm doing that on all my videos now too. I agree. It makes them look more professional. :)Oh good! I think you'll like it. :) Oh yea, I hadn't thought about that but that makes a lot of sense! I can understand that. When people lift my scoop, they are surprised I swing it all around. Hahaha. It's heavy. Aluminum would be nice but SO expensive! :(Thank you! The ground balance still gave me issues sadly. And I guess so did the sounds. Lol. :( I had fun though!
LOL - Yes, that Aluminum scoop costs just shy of $200, but it is SO worth it at 3.6 pounds or so... On ground balance - yeah I'm spoiled with my Minelabs that do that all for me - I've got an Explorer SE Pro and an Excal-2 plus a Sovereign and love how well they work. Good on having fun with all the new gear - Hope you try more out on the channel - It is good to see someone walk through a wide range of detectors and give their first impressions in the field...

Nice completion video for the CZ and whilst it didn't turn up anything good today your videos continue to always be gold. I guess that's why some unscrupulous people have seen fit to steal them. Was really saddened to hear about that and how disappointed and frustrated you are about it - I guess all you can do is issue a copyright infringement takedown notice via youtube and meanwhile maybe add watermarks to future uploads. Hope you can get it sorted. There's only one true She Detector :)

Well the beach is romantic LOL. You are working like a professional SD. I think that depression was a good decision I would have done the same. I always use PI detectors, my beach detectors are a Fisher 8X and a Tesoro Sand Shark. Wow Clearwater beach is a beautiful beach.

She Detector Some time in the spring I was thinking about coming to Florida and maybe we could do a hunt together and a video. Trying to make some partnerships on here and eventually put together a group that would meet once or twice a year for a hunt. What do you think about that?

That's great that you're able to go in and get the stuff they leave behind. Hahaha. I think the Excal is slightly better just because it has the different tones for the different metals. The CZ not so much. Hahahaha, that's a great point! Oh yes, I got rid of the S shaft also, not a fan. It was so heavy. I've not had any issue with overheating, fingers crossed!Thank you! Sorry, video stalls at She Detector here. Can hear audio continue. I tried refreshing browser, still stalls.
Runs fine on 480 so saw the complete video. I had just watched Aquachigger review some of his Garretts and he did mention he uses the CZ 21 a lot for diving. Other detectors will not go as deep. I learned a lot today over there. It's not the size, but how you use it. :=)

I think they're stealing your videos because you're so awesome and they're not and by the way I love the way your cabinets looking do you keep it locked up just in case you can't trust anybody these days

Try putting a card in your pouch that says she detector @ youtube.com and show it with your finds. At least it would lead people to your site.

Sorry you are getting ripped off, as to your videos. I will stop even checking Patti Rackham one, for sure. I bought the Raptor handle because of your use of it, and have it on the front, but I also bought the Raptor guide, and use it on the back.

A number of TH-cam video producers I watch are having their content stolen. Why TH-cam tolerates it is beyond me! They seem to ignore complaints. Tag your videos in various places in the content and if any get stolen, complain to high heaven!

Good video! I can't believe that TH-cam is giving you a hard time concerning your videos being stolen. They are super strict concerning copyright infringement, but they won't enforce it for you? Someone on their end is either dropping the ball or is in collusion with the thieves. Maybe you should start saying things like " lawyer" and "attorney general". I'm sure they will change their thinking to avoid charges being pressed against them. Sorry to hear that there is more than one thief. I only knew of the one that I messaged you about.

She Detector Yes hopefully they do. From my observations on the videos that have been getting stolen, they all have one thing in common and that is they do not have a watermark on the videos. This is why I believe they are doing it. I have not personally seen any videos that have been Hi jacked that have watermarks on them. So easily fixed if you want to She Detector, just go to creator studio and then to channel and then to branding and just follow the directions. ATB to you GL&HH 👍 😊 Arty
I hate the idea of thieves stealing your digital property almost as much as I hate tricks-for-clicks. You don't use tricks and that's one reason I have been subscribed for so long. I don't click on every MD vid like I used to but if I see your stuff on another channel I will try to remember to tell you. Those dog lickin bastard thieves anyway!.... Nuggetnoggin was my first MD subscription but since he turned all "Jesusy" I finally unsubbed, I don't hate Jesus, I just think there is a time and a place, and plenty of religion channels too. Now She Detector and Silverslingers are my undisputed favorites for the MD genre. Too bad you are so far apart or you could meet for a hunt! Or even visit each other's area. A couple hours of that vid would go by in a blink for me! Some beach and some inland hunting and both with good cams and skills, wonderful thought... Almost forgot to thumbs up this one, haven't missed one yet!
Not sure how effective it would be but I have seen some vids with "Copyright (name)" overlaid occasionally throughout. Might help, might not.

I did actually. of the 4 channels that stole my videos, three of them are gone now. :D I submitted a claim on the 4th channel last week so it should be gone in a few days I think. :) I'm sure you already saw yesterdays video. It was later than usual, :( But sadly no rings. :(
