Great question! When you are wading a scoop is the perfect tool however when you are diving it is too difficult to get the required leverage and it's easier to find the target by fanning the sand.

A concentric coil at this price compared to a dd coil... this is ridiculous according to current standards where $250 machines have dd coils smh
