    You always have amazing hunts on the sandy beaches!!! Lolol....Cool finds and congrats on the "horseshoe ring". I know the feeling when you find a ring, either in the sand, or in my case in the ground! They are "heartstoppers" for sure! Keep up the good hunts and GOD bless to you and yours! Peace! :-)

      @SheDetector  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hahaha, thank you! Yea but you have to work harder for your rings so I bet the feeling is even better! :D Thanks!

    Congrats on the horseshoe ring, looks good. Also love the white sugar sand you've got there. We have heavy grey sand here in the Carolinas, probably due to the many refurbs our beaches have been through. Keep smiling and digging, always look forward to your videos. Much thanks!

    I find it amazing that the old style pull tabs are found in such abundance considering I haven't seen one of them on a can in over 30 years!

    Just did my first detecting on Clearwater Beach last week-had a blast, found plenty of coins and a small costume earring, similar to the ones you found. I will be heading back there soon! Thanks for the video.

    -Got here from email, paused it, liked it, now I see this- "in November! Hahaha! Enjoy!". Feels like you are laughing right at me! LOL... Well it sure could be worse up here, highs around 60F, perfect humidity about 50-60%, and sunny days up until today anyway. It's been sunny for about two weeks! I love Autumn and I am in heaven after the crappy summer we had, it rained so much and was so GD humid I thought I was in the GD rain forest. Now back to the vid.- #6! Cool! And my customary, another fine production She!

    Great job on finding the ring,it never gets old,ever. IWe still have decent weather here. Novembwrs have been mild over the past few years,even december not being terrible. Its been dry so depth is an issue. Beach hunting pretty much always nets me a ring and change. Found my first pair of perscription glasses this year. I know someone was bumming over that. Sadly,they didnt shake anything valuable off their blanket. I hung the glasses off a nearby cedar tree branch that the person was using for shade. I prefer finding unopened wine coolers to glasses any day. ( happened twice in one day). Happy hunting lady!

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! I agree. I don't think it will ever get old and that's fine by me! :D That's good. The weather isn't to bad here in Florida. Some places got into the 30's the other night though. Not sure what that's all about! Oh yea, hard dirt is no fun! Hahaha, bummer for the person that lost them. Prescription specks aren't cheap! Hahahaha! Yea. I once heard of someone finding an entire 12 pack of unopened beer buried in the sand! I can't even imagine that. :) Maybe it was you actually! Hahaha. I forget pretty easy.

    • @scottfirman
      @scottfirman 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      She Detector Beer would be better than wine coolers,but when its hot and you are parched,it doesnt matter. I used to wrap hot dogs in foil and place them on my exaust manifold and when I drove from one metal detecting site,by the time I got there,my hot dogs were cooked and ready for lunch. Yeah, I was pretty hard core back then. I would head out saturday morning and be gone till about 5 pm. You get pretty tired of cold food and warm drinks,so it pays to be creative.

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      scott firman Hahaha, that's very true! That's a great idea! Hahaha. Yea, that's a long day of detecting for sure! I wouldn't last that long honestly.

    Keep the faith! it's a game of percentages. I dug 20+ holes yesterday in a very iron infested 1920's home site and found a few clad coins, the usual pulls, caps and aluminum, etc. BUT, I know the very next signal could be that walking liberty coin or that $6,000 diamond ring!! Good luck!! Avoid the Trolls!

      @SheDetector  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea? I didn't even look at the name of it. Hahaha! Oh awesome. I've not found any sharks teeth, but I'm also not really looking for them. Hahaha.

      @hughj.5762 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      She Detector. Yes, they are harder to find when not looking for them. It helps pass time while waiting for target signals though. The kids are impatient so shark teeth hunting helps keep them entertained. Happy Hunting

    Another ring! Awesome! I've been avoiding the beaches lately. Every time I go metal detecting on them it seems I get a sinus infection or my sinus infection gets worse. Got four gold rings and a sterling moonstone and amethyst bracelet at a thrift store for less than twenty dollars. One was a 9ct rose gold Victorian and seed pearl ring, 14K yellow gold art deco black onyx and diamond ring, 19K white gold ring from the twenties, and a 10K yellow gold ring. I was bummed out from two years of beach hunting and not getting any gold rings yet when I scored at thrift store. The man upstairs sure does have a sense of humor.

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey SD, So I have pretty much decided to take advantage of GoldDigger's She Detector package... I am leaning towards the 8" coil. Advice? Thoughts? Thank you.

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Well, I'm not sure if it's still available, you might need to call them and see what they say. I've never used the 8" so I can't really provide to much advice on that. But I imagine it's just as good as the 10". But the 10" covers more ground in one swing. :)

    Well done SD I think the u shaped piece is part of a watch buckle may be silver or gold but likely plate I would clean it and test it just to be sure.
    I don't know if you go to this beach on the week ends as I'm sure it is to busy to detect but it would be worth taking a walk around the area at lunch or dinner time and see where people are lined up for concession stands etc and then come back when it's quiet. HH

    OK, OK, OK you have been running that EX CAL for a while and the SEA HUNTER for a while. Could you give a report pro and cons for each machine? I would assume you like the EX CAL over the sea hunter.
    Great finds! You were told that it would all come together soon. And sure enough it did. Congrats on your finds.
    HH GL & God bless

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah yes. I prefer the Excal over the Sea Hunter for sure. The sea hunter can give off some threshold noise while singing the coil. The Excal doesn't do that. And you could hunt in silent mode with the Excal if you wanted. And the excel has different tones for different metal, the sea hunter doesn't. It's one tone for everything. You would have to adjust the discrimination to weed out the junk but then you risk missing the goods. :( Thank you! Yes and I'm so glad things are working in my favor. :D

    I hunt the Land'O Lakes area with my Garrett AT Pro. I've been thinking about heading out to Clearwater soon with my scoop and seeing if I can find anything interesting. I've been up and down the Hillsborough River and all through the Downtown area. Great video, keep uploading!

      Oh awesome! Honestly, I've not found anything in the water at Clearwater Beach. ALL my ring finds there have been in dry sand. I hand one ring in the wetish stuff but I'm pretty sure it was a fresh drop. I recommend staying in the dry sand there.

    Thanks again for a nice video! The majority of beach detectorists which use excalibur use the pinpoint mode, when finding a target check it with the disc because its deeper with the pinpoint mode, have you tried ir?

    I was just there last week and found two rings.One was sterling silver with an CZ and the other was a very expensive diamond ring.I had it appraised and the jeweler said I could get anywhere from $6k-8k for it.He offered me $4k but declined.A few days ago I was browsing the lost and found section of CraigsList and seen an Ad about someone losing there engagement ring but the location wasn't the same as where I found it.Long story short the ring was returned to it rightful owner.I made someone's day and was delighted when I was rewarded with $500 cash and a ice cold BlueMoon beer.At first I declined the reward money but the gentleman and his Fiancé insisted.Sure I could have kept the ring and with Christmas around the corner it would have helped considerably but I believe in Karma.Great finds SD!

    First I would like to thank you for all the videos that you have posted. I like the idea that you not only tell us what you are doing but you also add in why to are doing it. I am just exploring metal detecting as a hobby and you have been a great help. I do have a question regarding Rex. I see what appears to be magnets on the bottom and side of Rex. Are they magnets and what is their purpose? I watched all of your videos and do not think you said why you added them. Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing!!!

    • @jcburger733
      @jcburger733 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oops - My Bad. For some reason I was not seeing your older videos till now. I am watching your older videos and saw the one where Rex became part of the family and where Beaker came from. Back in the days when you only had a few coins in your jar and gave up on your DIY scoop ;-) I am up to November 2015, so I have a lot more videos to watch.

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well thank you. And thanks for watching them. I try to give a bit more info than others give because that's the stuff I wanted to know when I first started. Hahaha. I'm glad I've been helpful. That is correct, I have two magnets in Rex. I installed them when I first started hunting because I would pull all metal, iron included. The magnets grab the iron right out the sand making it easier for me to get the target. But, as I've upgraded my machine, I don't pull iron so much anymore. Occasionally a bottle cap will stick to the magnet though. Honestly, if you don't pull much iron, they won't do anything for you. I've thought about taking them out actually, but haven't done it yet.

      The black handle, yes. It's called a Raptor Handle. I got mine from The Gold Digger Metal Detectors. You can find it here. thegolddigger.com/products/raptor-pull-handle?variant=47230032659

  • @gregorym9591
    @gregorym9591 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    another question. I see you had a pin pointer button installed on your EXCAL machine. Do you find yourself using it much ? do you find it was worth installing a pointer button on that unit? Is the unit being effected by other electrical things EX: pin pointer, sand scoop , other things around you? Is the button water proof, not just water resistant.

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, I've not installed one yet. If you install it, it voids the warranty. :( I'm waiting to do it. Plus, I don't know how it will affect using the Excal while diving. I know the guys that do have it installed, use it ALL the time. The Excal will be affected by outside things such as a pin point. I cannot have my Land or Sea pin pointer and Excal to close together or they both freak out. I've not tried my Garrett Pro Pointer AT next to it though. I'll try that soon and see what happens. As for whether or not they are waterproof, they are supposed to be but I hear of water leaks periodically. A good person to ask about it is Tony Eisenhower actually. He installed his own on his machine and he installs them for other people as well. He can give you more details about that. Sorry I don't have more answers. :/

    • @gregorym9591
      @gregorym9591 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok, I thought you had a pin pointer installed by Tony. Okkkkk, my mistake. OOOOOOPPPPPSSSSS! LOL LOL
      Has the head phones bothered you yet? since you must go thru some rewiring to change head phones.
      I was just wondering after watching your videos I was temped to go purchase the machine. I could always use another sand scoop. I missed the deal from GOLD DIGGER at that time. Always a day late and a dollar short. HA HA :) I was thinking of going down to there shop to ask and get more information. Ron is top dog when it comes to the hobby.
      Keep up the great reviews.

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hahaha, no worries! The curly part of the cable does seem a bit to tight as the headphone will pull away from my head while swinging it. But nothing to terrible. I'll look into some other headphones well after my warranty expires though. Oh yea, it was a great deal for sure. :D Oh yea, if you stop in, ask them about it. You never know, they might still give it to you. ;) Thanks!

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! And thanks for watching. :) Honestly, locating the good finds comes down to location and timing. The machine only affects it a little bit. ;) My thoughts on that matter anyway. So that excal should be pretty close to be out of warranty soon. If so you should think about adding an on handle pinpoint/discriminate switch and upgrading the headphones. There's a guy named Old Beach Nut (Joe), who's is a good dude, he has videos on his channel on how to upgrade it or will upgrade your unit of you send it to him. He also has waterproof connectors for changing your field coil easier. I upgraded mine and it's so much better.

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hahaha! It might be. I forget when I bought it actually. Hahaha! I've thought about that. But, I've seen some people have issues with the pinpoint switch leaking . If it leaks in waist deep water, I worry what would happen if I took it diving. :( Not good! Thanks for info! I'll keep it in mind! :D

      Much easier. By the way, my wife sure showed me up, detecting, recently. At a small beach, as I was just re-orienting myself to my Excal II, she found more coins than I did, while she was just using a mere Go Find 20 we are giving to a young nephew for Christmas. Then 2 days ago she had a dime and a man's stainless ring surface finds at the roadside, while we were HOUSE-hunting! She declared that she does not even need the detector to beat me! :-)

    Hi She Detector, please can you help me? Which metal detector is deeper in the sea, garret sea hunter MKII (with standart or 10x14 coil) or minelab excalibur II with 10 inch coil. Minelab Excalibur II is 2 times more expensive then sea hunter MKII. I want to find gold. Garrett sea hunter mark II will be enough for me or Excalibur II is much much better???

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! Well, I would have to say the Excal, at least in my experience, goes deeper than the Sea Hunter. But, if you can only afford the Sea Hunter, there's nothing wrong with that. It will find the metal if it's there. You should also check out the Sand Shark. It's also a pulse induction like the Sea Hunter but it's a tiny bit cheaper and I think it's very comparable to the Sea Hunter in regards to depth. Plus, I find it's much easier to locate the targets with the Sand Shark than it is with the Sea Hunter. :D I hope this helps some. Good luck!

    • @branislavsestak5906
      @branislavsestak5906 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for your response. Your videos are great, keep up the good work. Is a big difference between the depth of the sea hunter MKII coil 10"X14", disc 0 and Excal 10". I want detector use only in the sea(Croatia in Europe).Is true Sea Hunter MK II have sometimes false sound, I mean swing in sea, air... I found Excal have to much claim the goods - problems with potentiometer, charging battery time... What do you think... :-) (You are pretty woman)

    hmmm, not to be too critical, but your add on handle on your beach scoop is on backwards. Change it to the top side of the scoop and you get better leverage on one handed scoops.
