    Another great presentation of your village mastery. Well done. Perfect song choices too. Your camera work was perfect and steady and well lit. Best one so far of this season for me. TFS. Linsterville is coming.

      Thank you Pete Linster! I'm glad you appreciate my village. I filmed it with my cell phone. I'm a little disappointed that once finished, windows movie maker has created a small jerky part in my video. Let me know for Linsterville!

      Thank you for your kind words, I'm glad to see you enjoy my village. You have no reason to say that your village is diminished compared to the one I did. The pleasure of watching villages on youtube is because they are all different, if they were all the same, there would be no interest in watching them. You have beautiful pieces in your village, especially those of the Dept 56 Pine Isles collection, which I discovered this year, and now I have to pay triple to get them! Happy Holidays!

    You've done a great job creating something memorable each year. I wanted to ask a few questions about your set up
    Where or how did you get the white background of the set up? DId you create it?
    I primarily collect A Christmas Story by Dept 56, do you think Christmas in the City is on the same scale?
    How did you manage to create such realistic roads? I place the fake snow in my village and it looks not even close to yours
    Lastly, your tree and stone wall collection is incredible...how many pieces do you have of each approximately

      Hi, Thank you very much!
      Where or how did you get the white background of the set up? DId you create it? It's called Shaper sheet by Woodland scenic, I used it with nothing else.(shaper sheet how to, on youtube)
      I primarily collect A Christmas Story by Dept 56, do you think Christmas in the City is on the same scale? at 2 min 18, you can see Cleveland Elementary School (christmas story), I don't know for others pieces, but for this one, yes, I have many christmas in the city houses..
      How did you manage to create such realistic roads? in 2017 I used anti-slip shelf liner by Duramax, easy to work with, easy to cut it.
      I place the fake snow in my village and it looks not even close to yours. I used 2 different type of snow, I used bigger flake under, and I finish with extra fine snow on the top for the realistic effect.(Buffalo flurries extra fine or Dept 56 fresh fallen snow)
      your tree and stone wall collection is incredible...how many pieces do you have of each approximately
      ? stone wall, around 60, for the trees, around 25 differents types. You can join my facebook page: Christmas village noel Winterpep if you want.

    I just love your village - could you please tell me what kind of snow you use. It looks so fluffy and real. Thanks.

    • @WinterPep
      @WinterPep  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you very much! I use two types of snow. To give volume and plug holes, I use Original Buffalo Frosty Snow Flakes and for finishing, or places where there is not a lot of snow, I use Buffalo snow flurries extra fine or fresh fallen snow by Department 56

    I absolutely love your village, especially the mill creek side. I'm just now starting to collect the creek pieces. How did you make what looks like a Y in the creek?

    • @WinterPep
      @WinterPep  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you very much! Creek pieces are from Department 56 collection called: Mill Creek. The ''Y'' shape is also from Dept 56 but called : Mountain Creek Y shape. I have paint the border each side to fit with mill creek, the mountain creek is little wider that mill creek. Just write in google images, the mountain creek Y shape, you will see my pictures before/after. Some others items fit with the mill creek, but have not ''mill creek'' in the name like : Good Fishing. Happy Holidays

    Hi Winterpep. You have done a nice job and matched the pieces well. To move on from this can i suggest trying to use different heights for houses and trees. Make it random much like it happens in nature. Turn the houses to different angles and clump the trees up in groups of mixed heights and types. Some close to the house, others further away. Just look to nature and try to get inspiration from that. Also invest in a lot more spotlights and point them in different directions to highlight features and shoot your video at night. A good tripod with a video "fluid" head will improve your filming 10 times. You'll get there. Keep pushing yourself and dont be afraid to ask for advice. Best regards. Steve

    I love the village! I also do the 'still' non moving village as well...I don't like the pieces that are battery operated....the people DO fit in the houses...it is called the Magic of Christmas!

    • @WinterPep
      @WinterPep  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes! Thank you, Sometimes I use pieces that work with battery, but they work with adapters too, much more practical. Happy Holidays!

    Where can I buy the creek? Or did you make it.

    • @WinterPep
      @WinterPep  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The pieces are from the Department 56 Collection: Mill Creek. You can go on ebay, and write: dept 56 mill creek, you will see many pieces available. And you can also write: dept 56 good fishing, to get another piece to go with.
