i was gonna suggest either grease, a tiiiiiny spot of superglue and i mean tinyyy, or put a ring of paper around the bearing and then slide it out before fully seating the bearing when the needle bearings are about halfway out. (just some ideas)
as if he didnt knew........... u kidding me? they fishing for comments. google cash is king. do have to say i like this kid. more pro than like....70% calling themselves experts at what they do. not mean he'd do great at an heart transplant or anything but, yu know what i mean. i hope. even if some have hard time understanding how things are... but dont forget to vote and make a change LOOOL 😂😅🏳🌈🚀🙈🙊🙉
I enjoy watching you learn the hard way. I made all the same mistakes when I was in my 20s. If it doesn't kill you it only makes you smarter. Good work young man!

Totally kewl watching it get dark outside 🤣🤣!! Love your channel bro! Therapeutic watching you work. And I learned a new phrase: ‘not gonna Cobb-job this!!’
Hahaha, I was cracking up at the end when you got antifreeze in your mouth! Thank you so very much for including that, that was freaking hilarious 🤣!! Lol, have a good one man. Cheers! - Jesse
1/4 way through cleaning put on gloves, 1/2 way through put on respirator, 🤣 love it. I take pictures and videos of everything before I take it apart too!
Been watching you for a good amount of time and I just want to say wonderful job keeping projects coming.. With the no longer good CBR 1000 motor, I think you should save all good parts out of it and use it to fix the good engine if you end up breaking something. You can never go wrong with extra parts, at least then you wouldn't have to spend so much money having to fix something
Pack the gears with grease.install bearings making sure to count them and get proper number per gear..install gear set...grease won't harm the gear oil nor bearings nor synchronizers nor bushings... You can usr a drill attachment to lap the valves and guides which makes the job easier and faster...simply cleaning the gunk out of that valve guide and stem will free it back up...new valve stem seals and a good lapping will have that old head back in usable shape... There's a good way to wind up getting eye surgery if a corrosive winds up in your eyes.. Careful over rushing works best every time.
U need to get an electric leaf blower brother..I blow my shop out 3 times a day In 30 seconds..the simple things save u alot of time man..love your videos, wish we was neighbors
Just replace bearings. They’re usually not expensive and you don’t have to hit your own head if a re-used bearing starts making noise after you put things back together.
Hey bud, cool clip as always... but seriously you'll be lucky if you don't end up with you hand very burnt. I had a similar contact with a high grade degreaser for only a few minutes on my hand and was burnt pretty bad. Hope you dont have the same effect as your time was alot longer. Keep up the awesome clips and to everyone watching, stay well. Cheers from Australia. 👍
Chris, I see that you are one who goes full speed ahead...I used to teach shop class in order to get enough time and credits on my high school resume...we would spray WD-40 on the back of the "victims" knee and then wait for the reaction...
Lucky you diluted some of that cleaner Chris I’m sure it helped and yeah I think at the very least keeping a door open would help haha. Looking good and all the best 👍🏻
what is your floor constructed from? Is there any concrete layer under the plywood? Or there is like shallow crawlspace you know... I m planning to build garage simillar to yours and I like your floor is seems to be smart durable solution.
He's got some really clean hands now, and i guess he woke up the next day with an annoying headache. Well... someone is gonna start reading all the warning labels on jugs and bottles from now on!
You may not have any local bearings shops around you, but most towns have a transmission supply shop or something like that... They usually carry lots of bearings at really good prices. If that is not an option, there are online bearings stores that are a lot better than using ebay or amazon.
LOL! Our innocent Chris, (almost) never swears, no alcohol etc - but there he is at 1:02 dropping acid. Hoooo , at 17:37 when you FINALLY read the label, oh heck I'm still laughing. Sorry dude, I just couldn't pass this one up :) you know, I'm your big fan in CLE
My most famous mistakes included pressurizing gear lube with the air hose to blow it it. FYI the Qt explodes in your face between 5 and 10 psi LOL. Also a combination of frayed battery cable and cheap charger which overcharged lawn mower battery boiling out and water leaving lot of hydrogen gas. upon starting batter exploded covering me in acid. Lucky facing other direction and no direct damage. Its about as loud as a 410 shotgun though. I think I still have ringing in that side.
Those needle bearings in the gearbox just use a shorter dummy counter shaft and put them in using grease to hold them in place then slide the dummy shaft in one layer at a time . When you install the original shaft in the gear box it will push the dummy shaft out leaving the needle bearings installed .
Dude, get you a turkey deep fryer. Fill it full of purple cleaner and turn it on low...drop parts in and let them simmer. It will be the easiest cleaner you will ever use.
You need to make a dumb shaft that is the same length as your lay shaft, grease then pack your needle rollers and gently slip in your dummy shaft, 'note' this is only as long as your lay shaft so it will slide into the case, once inside insert your longer shaft so it pushes out the dummy shaft, job done.
Everyone gave you the needle bearing "trick", and you can grind the valves as long as they're all straight and the guide areas are clean. So don't trash anything just yet!!
Since you have a yard, might as well ditch that miniature parts cleaner and get one of the cheapo metal sink and make a small stand for it with a drain pump through the normal sink evac and a second hand bilge pump (cause those are supposed to be rated for oils, sea water, and other garbage) and voila, you have a heavy duty parts cleaner. As long as you run some spirits through the pump to make sure it doesn't have water innit during winter, it should last you years out in the elements.
Ouch, just saw a video from Mastermilo where they say how dangerous the cleaning solution is and then I see you cleaning the parts with bare hands and I go WHAT!!!! STOP!
I’d like to make a suggestion as you are waiting for parts. Take apart the second engine. See what it needs. Assuming the pistons are OK I would order new rings and a gasket set. Hone out the cylinders and install new rings while it’s apart. Look for some new or good used parts for the head.
U prob won't see this but on Sat Nov 7th me my dad with the ttr230's and our friends with the polaris rzr and the honda quad helped u out of the woods bc ur wheel on the grave ninja snapped off and we pulled you with the quad
Hi. Thanks for your videos, are very interesting. Lately i've seen that the subtitles are deactivated in the last videos that you've uploaded. You know why? I think that the subtitles of the videos are very usefull. Thanks Again.
On a four cylinder engine two pistons up two pistons down if I remember right pair the two up and the two down for the exhaust you can get a four cylinder to sound like a v8 they just rap out faster.
I got injector cleaner in the corner of my eye and all over the side of my face in high school. Was cleaning injectors on an 01 kia rio with pressurized injector cleaner and one of the injectors wasn't sealed so when my buddy hooked up the airline and it had time to build enough pressure it shot the injector all the way to the other side of the shop and covered me in that stuff. My face burned for an hour or longer.
Use grease to hold those needle bearings in place.
i was gonna suggest either grease, a tiiiiiny spot of superglue and i mean tinyyy, or put a ring of paper around the bearing and then slide it out before fully seating the bearing when the needle bearings are about halfway out. (just some ideas)

@@mruble38 Red tacky grease works well. Still a pain to reassemble uncaged roller bearings, but manageable.

So did I.. like the the piston rings on my moped🤣 or a bent rod because of shaving the head to far.
this build is so sick, been watching since the very beginning! can’t wait to see it ripping

I love how you don't skimp and don't things half assed. Like SO many other you tubers👍
I wonder if the metal shavings are from fixing a spark plug hole?
Good thinking, they don't look like piston rings.
Thank you sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much 4 the wonderful videos you post... i luv watching them for hours..
ALWAYS read the manuals on everything!! 👍😁
Great video and I like the outtakes at the end 👍🏻 keep the awesome content coming
Me encantaría trabajar con una persona como ested maravilloso trabajo... Saludos desde Colombia ✌️
I always use grease to place the loose needle bearings. You just smear this on the axle or hub so the needles will stick in it.
Lol. Never stop ending with outtakes. Your bloopers are hilarious. Good luck.
Have you thought about buying some land for a shop and more room for activities so Karen doesn’t yell at you again 😂
he would need a lot more subscribers or more contributors to his Patreon page.
He's said in previous videos that he has already been looking for land to buy
Na he decided to waste his money on a new truck instead.
1/4 way through cleaning put on gloves, 1/2 way through put on respirator, 🤣 love it. I take pictures and videos of everything before I take it apart too!
I absolutely love your bloopers
Am I the only one in tears on the floor after he gets a mouthful of antifreeze 😂 I’ve been there before!
Dam those outtakes were brutal. Nice work, your build looks badass.
Really liked the engine mount that tied into three different parts of the frame, looks really solid!!

Love the out takes 😂😂😂

you can lap out small pits , and the valves can be okay and you can have them reground too.
Keep Up The good work 👍👍👍👍
Blast the bearings with the jet so they spin really fast, that cleans them up nicely, done it a few times myself
Just replace bearings. They’re usually not expensive and you don’t have to hit your own head if a re-used bearing starts making noise after you put things back together.
That hand is now very clean
Metal shavings... check spark plug hole threads for clues

Nice work. I like the music on this episode. John Wick of the fabbing community. Ewww, you let him do you on the first date...
A lot better choice in music this time last video I had turn volume off 🤣🤣 anyway good video
enjoyed the bloopers too :)
Chain guard's are a must if you value your head or arms.

You can use a heavy grease to hold the needle bearing in place for reassembly
Heavy weight grease on the needles usually works delicately set them it.

on your needle bearings , use light grease in the hole , it will hold the bearings in place.

19:35 that's what she said!
Use grease to help keep the needle bearings in place.
I really like this machine but Im going to say the chains are going to be the "weak link " .
😂😂😂😂bro u killed me at the end knw u found out the hard way how it tast like😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Oh man, and that is your stranger hand too.
It there a better place for that fuel tank, up there it will introduce a ton of roll, when tuning with indipendent suspensions
Everyone has times waiting for parts, your not the only one 🤟 and needle bearings can be held in with a hefty dose of grease 👍
Here in the netherlands if you orde something before 21:00 hours jou have it the next day home

Grease is the proper way to hold those needles in. Something non detergent. Petroleum Jelly will work as well.
19:20-20:32 is just one long litany of 'Thats what she said' moments. Hilarious :)
Hahaha Aaroncake eat your heart out 😁
I have a 2.3 sohc from an 88 ranger. Would like to have that same set up but with a rwd truck engine instead of a motorcycle engine. Could it be done?

Use vaseline to hold bearing needles in place. It melts at low temp and won't hurt anything
A good sticky grease is your friend working with needle bearings.
Wait, I thought you are supposed to build a whole project around an engine before seeing if it even runs?🤣
Also after the engine is running, I think, you are supposed to go back and re torque the head bolts after you run it for awhile
U prob won't see this but on Sat Nov 7th me my dad with the ttr230's and our friends with the polaris rzr and the honda quad helped u out of the woods bc ur wheel on the grave ninja snapped off and we pulled you with the quad

great, now you gotta have monthly safety meetings.
It is rebuilded, with swing arms?
You didn't like it before?
Have you tested with swing arms ?
Yeah, the chemicals eat the lipids in your hand(fat). I recommend putting neosporin on your hand and cover with a glove to help heal it.
Seems like you could look into sourcing local parts. It would make it faster and you could get the right part the first time.
He more than likely orders parts online to save money on them.
I watched a case on TV years ago where a woman poisoned her husband with antifreeze, and back then is wasn't easily detectable.

Love the videos, keep up the good work, you can use diesel fuel in parts cleaner. My kids want to build from watching you.
Hey it sucks waiting for I now how feel am waiting for parts for my project am trying to finish
How are you going to Paint the Frame?
Where do you buy your engines at?
I'd love to see you rebuild all the "bad" parts into a good engine.
very good
