Wait… this isn’t her own show? Awwww that sucks I was literally about to look for the show’s name, so what show is this anyway I’d watch just for this gorg lessi
@@XDemNotYetARep It's a series called White Lotus. She's just in season 2 since each season follows different characters. There are just 2 characters returning for S2 but you don't necessarily need to watch S1 to understand S2. Personally I didn't like S1 (it was okay but slow-paced and more predictable) but S2 was great
@@dariusemicci6815 Nah lol I don't think she'll do anything bad. She just wanted to sing at the hotel, and she got that. Worst case scenario she'll simply stop accepting to sleep with her
Lol, she basically sexually discriminates against Isabela and her fiance and repeatedly ignores what Isabela actually wants and explicitly asks for. The whole point is that even though she's a woman and gay she is still reproducing the same power dynamics straight men do in a managerial role with subordinates. Literally is a lesbian incel. I have sympathy for the character but the conclusion to be drawn isn't that she's cute and wholesome in how she deals with her sexuality.
@@OliverOttoman Yeah the way she treated Isabella was toxic and as you said it was meant to replicate the common dynamic of the straight man in power. However, I think by the end we see her improving as a person, especially with the final "Rocco... Welcome back". She lets go of Isabella and also doesn't get rid of Mia after sleeping with her once. So yeah, I don't think she's a fully wholesome character but not a bad person either (at least by the end of the season)
I think the point of her character was more how willing she was to mistreat workers and give others preferencial treatment based on how she personally found certain employees attractive. She also made very inappropriate advances while taking advantage of her higher position, much like how a lot of men historically have done in corporate hierarcies such as these. It’s more nuanced than that of course, and she clearly had some good sides as well, but she wasn’t «just being a tsundere» when she would speak derogatively to men for no reason, and be all smiles with women.
@@sigur95 That's not really very accurate either. She treated everyone more or less equally, not based on gender/attractiveness (look how she treated Lucia and Mia at first, she wasn't very nice to Tanya either), she only started giving others "preferencial treatment" when they expressed admiration/interest towards her, which was done only by Isabella (whom she started treating very differently after she expressed how she admires her) and Mia (after she slept with her). To me, she was, first and foremost, very lonely and longed for affection, which is why she misinterpreted Isabella's comment, thinking she might be interested in her romantically. But she immediately backed off after finding out about Isabella's relationship with Rocco and seemed happy for them in the end.
I love the moment with the kittens, it was the first time we saw past her exterior and it was such a sweet, genuine moment without foreshadowing her fragility too much. Just a perfect lil scene
Exactly, "So what?" has the same meaning but still puts much less attention on the "really exhausted" factor. The literal translation of "So what?" Would be "E quindi?" or "E allora?" and definetely doesn't put much emphasis on the heavy and petty disagreement one might feel.
@@pololala It's during the scene where Mia is asking her to play at the hotel in exchange for sex. Mia says "let me play for you, I'm very good" with a thick accent and Valentina (who normally has a clear accent, just slightly from Rome) replies "You're very persistent" trying to mimic a Sicilian accent.
Your effects and sounds are SUBLIME . I have not seen the series but I was watching her interview with Jimmy Kimmel and being from Italy I have known her for 30 years. I started looking for videos of White Lotus. I actually wish the series was edited like this video. Bravissima
As a Straight Girl, I was proud of myself when my gaydar detected her 1-2 episodes before she asked Isabella to dinner and came out. xD Maybe others saw it sooner. But I remember just thinking “this is a bit beyond concerned and motherly manager” when she was trying to get her away from Rocco.
she did a great job too! 👏 the best act in the second part in my opinion, of course after Jennifer who is outstanding in the role! I just won't enjoy the third part without her being part of it!!
Do you guys recommend watching this show?? It's just i saw a couple of videos about and i think there's cheating and it pisses me off but I wanna know if it's worth it??
These 2 characters are both so endearing!! I'm thinking they could both transfer to the next White Lotus location. 🎉 I want more of them!! ❤ Also, when Mia asks Valentina if she's gay, what TV show is the music from? It's driving me crazy!!
She was literally a virgin though and had seemingly never had a romantic connection with anyone, so in that realm she basically had the maturity of a high schooler. I’m also a woman that is very uncomfortable with flirting with women and have no idea how I should be coming off. Not that I condone hitting on employees
So many people miss the point of White Lotus and just default into "anyone who's part of a marginalized group can't do any wrong." Same people prob think Paula wasn't just as self serving and manipulative as the rest of them in season 1, even if she hides it behind woke discourse and racial resentment. Mike White is too smart for the average viewer.
@@TheAwesomoe No, I totally agree with you, that any time an employer hits on an employee it’s sexually exploitative inherently and she’s wrong for that. Separately, it’s wrong to make an employee feel pressured to spend time with you with the intention of pursuing them romantically
I like that it's a requirement in this series for the hotel manager to be a gay disaster
She's not a disaster 😂
Armond is, She is not…Haha
It was a little creepy at times
Omg yes. Ok maybe not a disaster but a bit of a mess, let’s be fair
The White Lotus itself seems to be a gay disaster.
"Peppa Pig".... I'll never get over it 😂
She was so outta pocket 😭
Best moment of the season 💀💀
HAHAHAAAAAJAAAAAAA
That line was improvised! It's great
I read that she improvised that exact line.
As an italian, I feel so proud that an italian actress has her own gay video dedicated to
She had main character energy
Omg yes
I really felt her reaction to finding out the lady was engaged, very real and beautifully acted
The red electric beams when seeing Rocco will live rent free in my mind 😂
She deserves her own series 🎉
She certainly does. She was brilliant.

With Coleridge
I was so scared for her that the hooker would do something bad when she offered to be her first, I’m glad it turned out to be very cute
Yeah, me too. I thought that she will be dead, same as the manager in Season 1. So glad that the singer is an ally lol
It was only the first night. Wait till it’s the 5th night like with Albie and Lucia 😂
