The feeling of vagueness is how life feels after retirement. No idea what day of the week or date it is. Just going with the flow and always being in a state of unawares. It’s calming, can be boring to those who aren’t partial to zen moods, but overall is an accomplishment unlike any other. Being truly done with the worries of working life.
Yeah, but isnt it a bit scary that you dont have much of your youth and health anymore. Life would have been more amazing if yiu have the freedom (and hopefully money) provided by retirement but with the energy and time you had when you were young. Im 30 and it gives me anxiety.
@@hardcandy9880 I retired at 24, and just speaking from the narrow, and limited experience of my own life. But yes, I agree that there is a sinister tradeoff that accompanies retirement at the standard age of 60+. For many, retirement isn’t freedom. It is just the residual, chronic pain of a long life spent toiling and laboring of muscles and psyche day after day. Retirement money spent on medical aid, and retirement time spent in stasis at home or in a nursing facility. I truly wish society will learn from the mistakes of our time and build upon them. A world with a more favorable average retirement age and work life would be most welcome.
@@veo16 And actually a lot of people still want to work during retirement, not because they need money, but because they want to have that sense of purpose. Like, they dont like the hakuna matata life, they want to be busy, to feel accomplished each day, maybe get a bit tired to feel they deserve the rest. They dont want to be idle, they just want to have a choice on what to be busy with, and a lot of them it is still work that they love or at least like. Maybe because of habit too.

I don't know about you guys but season 1 was far better than the other seasons, it didn't take itself seriously and didn't have these small sub plots. It was just rich people being weird
