I have my Samsung Galaxy S20 FE for over a year now. I am still happy with the phone. The only down size I wish was different is the ear headset which uses USB type C. However, that can easily be resolved by getting a USB Type C Headset Jack Adaptor. It's not easy to find at many mobile cell stores. I unfortunately do not recommend the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G. I got one a couple of weeks ago and loved the phone but had to return it the next day due to what I’ve since learned is a common issue with this and other new Samsung phones. When you get the phone in any kind of sun light the screen flickers uncontrollably and then shuts off. Something to do with the adaptive brightness sensor. Nope, I didn't. On lower spec devices, Samsung uses optical. It's the same with the FE. The display lights up under your thumb when you press it to the display so the optical scanner can scan your fingerprint. They have ultrasonic readers on the regular S20's and the Note 20's, but not the S20 FE.

Hey guys! For those having a S20 FE: what's your experience regarding the camera quality? (I have a Samsung Galaxy A50 and was wondering about buying this one!) Thank you!
Reviewers will never tell you about current problems with the phone because they may be resolved in the future and/or because they make money and free products to only promote the product. If they mention the glitch, people will be hesitant to buy the phone.
what a shame tho also idk if the problem will be solve, it seems a hardware issue and i don't think Samsung will be doing massive recall... anyways, thank you so much for answering as the youtuber would never. have to admit i don't know who he is, i copypasted same comment in different videos bc seems they're trying to hide this issue.
Hey Mark. I bought the s20 fe because of your recomendation. I love it, its an amazing phone but unfortunately my country has the exynos version so it kinda heats up quickly.
THE S20 FE IS THE MORST COMPELLING PHONE OF THE YEAR with 95% of the ultra features. And just because its at a midrange price, doesn't mean its a midrange phone. If thats the case, than the iphone 11 at 699$ is also a midrange phone I have the s10+, trade in value is $450, making the price 250$, plus a 70$ credit that they give you to put towards another product . HOW CAN YOU BEAT THAT !!! And idk why ppl keep brining up the standard s20 for 670 on Amazon, BECAUSE YOU DONT GET A WARRANTY FROM AMAZON. Plus it's 670. The 699 FE has trade in program bringing the price down to 300$ so yea, trade it in
Only a few min in so you may answer this question by the end of the video. I think the "plastic " is great. Ive got the note 10+ and in 1 year (with otterbox defender pro case ) I am now on my 3rd note 10+. So in my opinion, the smaller bez. Is another great move I think too. More drop friendly approach . BUT from coming from using a note phone, I personally think that I would end up complaining about not having my s-pen. One of those things you don't realize how much you use it until its gone lol. Ive tried to find a legit answer on this but cant... are the S20's (all versions ) and the FE version Stylus compatible? Like can I not become broke from buying a phone with a stylus when I can get the FE and use a stylus?
Lol I'm on my third Note 10 too The first was a Note 10 (the small one) and then two Note 10+ As you can probably tell from that, I personally shudder thinking of anlife where I do not have an S Pen. But my second phone is now an S20FE! Which replaced my previous phone B, the iPhone XS
And no The S20FE does not support the Spen No other phone does actually. Not anywhere in Samsung's line of phones The tablets do tho I have a Tab S6 Lite and it reads the pen from my Note 😅
@@kenbee1957 hahhah yeah these note 10 pluses are definitely huge and very fragile. I didnt want the plus due to me being clumsy af. But when I got it they were out of the regular note 10. I am not always using the s pen but I know for sure that I would miss having it if I didn't which is literally the only reason that I want the note20 or ultra. Im still debating. Like I feel like I would be less likely to destroy the note 20 rather than the note ultra. But from all the zillion videos I've watched trying to aid in the process just say how slack the note 20 is missing all the good things that the ultra has like wtf. That doesn't help hahah but id rather spend the $200 than fucking $600 all for a damn spen 😑😂🤦🏽♀️ With the note 20 being flat on the front rather than curved does it still give you the "edge screen apps" or did they completely screw that up too 🤔
@@caitlynlangham5118 I've tried the regular Note 20 for a bit at the store. They'll let you mess about with it for as long as you wish here in Germany The thing that people hate the most about it, the plastic back, I found myself really liking, even loving. It sealed my decision to finally pick up the FE The lack of expandable storage, not a big deal. It comes at a base 125GB and I can and have lived with that. No 120Hz screen? 90Hz is perfectly acceptable and very noticeably different from my Note 10+ No QHD. Well, the display phone I checked out was on a default FHD to show off the fancy new refresh rate. And it still outclassed all the other phones in the display Smaller battery? Well so is the screen so that shouldn't really matter much Everything else is pretty much the same as on the Ultra. Even the edge apps Lol (people rarely appreciate that feature but I think it's neat) Except for the cameras. They are not bad. They just aren't the same as what you get on the Ultra And I also really need my phone screen to curve! Its the one thing I'd say I'm missing on the FE
I would honestly pick it up in a heartbeat as a replacement for my Note 10 if not for the curved screen thing The price at the moment is far too high and just pushes you to spend more and just buy the damned Ultra. I felt the wiser thing is to just wait till the price on both goes down...and then get the Ultra Lol But to answer your question, if you've been using a Note and that SPen....the FE can NOT really replace it adequately. The Note 20 is the only option in that scenario
The ONLY thing that could've made this the best phone (maybe ever) is if it had Gorila Glass 5 (insted of 3) and a 3.5mm audio jack. That would've been a true Fan Edition. However that would've probably increased the price by alot...

@@MarkSpurrell Oh okay my bad. Great vid as always anyway :P
Best value for the money..but most of the markets ships with exynos version the performance is not up to the mark as compared to snapdragon..
Yeah, unfortunate that Samsung does this in what is otherwise a fantastic phone.
@@MarkSpurrell Hope next year same controversy will not continue, Samsung will fix it in s21 phones..
@@Ramkumar-sy7ee if you’re just using it for TH-cam and video recording, is there any point paying £100 extra and getting the snapdragon?
@@apexg6571 I am currently owning the s20 with exynos 990 when I was first using the phone I was really happy this is the phone for me after couple of day the battery drains like a hell and I am charging the phone daily min 2 time and some times 3. And heating like a hell even for the basic day to day app we use, i am not a game freak I generally use to watch TH-cam, Facebook, Twitter, email..
do you have touch screen issues on your unit?
Nope.
@@MarkSpurrell I just got one and it's pretty bad. unlucky lol
I am your fan from India. I have a doubt that which is Best ? Under 60k ( oneplus 8 pro VS samsung galaxy S20 FE 5G ). Both are Indian variants and Has snapdragon chipset
Is S20 FE or pixel 5 better?
Should i wait for galaxy s21 or no big differencys
Dude... didn't u experience any touch screen issue?
Still good at $400 now?
Hey guys! For those having a S20 FE: what's your experience regarding the camera quality? (I have a Samsung Galaxy A50 and was wondering about buying this one!) Thank you!
Hello! some people have notice ghost touches, did you experience something similar while using the device?? thank you!!!

If thats the case, than the iphone 11 at 699$ is also a midrange phone
I have the s10+, trade in value is $450, making the price 250$, plus a 70$ credit that they give you to put towards another product .
Lol
I'm on my third Note 10 too
The first was a Note 10 (the small one) and then two Note 10+
As you can probably tell from that, I personally shudder thinking of anlife where I do not have an S Pen.
But my second phone is now an S20FE! Which replaced my previous phone B, the iPhone XS
And no
The S20FE does not support the Spen
No other phone does actually. Not anywhere in Samsung's line of phones
The tablets do tho
I have a Tab S6 Lite and it reads the pen from my Note
😅
That doesn't help hahah but id rather spend the $200 than fucking $600 all for a damn spen 😑😂🤦🏽♀️
With the note 20 being flat on the front rather than curved does it still give you the "edge screen apps" or did they completely screw that up too 🤔
@@caitlynlangham5118
I've tried the regular Note 20 for a bit at the store. They'll let you mess about with it for as long as you wish here in Germany
The thing that people hate the most about it, the plastic back, I found myself really liking, even loving. It sealed my decision to finally pick up the FE
The lack of expandable storage, not a big deal. It comes at a base 125GB and I can and have lived with that.
No 120Hz screen? 90Hz is perfectly acceptable and very noticeably different from my Note 10+
No QHD. Well, the display phone I checked out was on a default FHD to show off the fancy new refresh rate. And it still outclassed all the other phones in the display
Smaller battery? Well so is the screen so that shouldn't really matter much
Everything else is pretty much the same as on the Ultra. Even the edge apps Lol (people rarely appreciate that feature but I think it's neat)
Except for the cameras. They are not bad. They just aren't the same as what you get on the Ultra
And I also really need my phone screen to curve! Its the one thing I'd say I'm missing on the FE
I would honestly pick it up in a heartbeat as a replacement for my Note 10 if not for the curved screen thing
The price at the moment is far too high and just pushes you to spend more and just buy the damned Ultra.
I felt the wiser thing is to just wait till the price on both goes down...and then get the Ultra Lol
But to answer your question, if you've been using a Note and that SPen....the FE can NOT really replace it adequately.
I am hearing some issue about gost touch is it true..?
yes
