Hello Sir! I’m having random misfires (P0300) on my 2002 Silverado. All spark plugs have been changed, all 8 injectors have been replaced,new MAF has been installed, and still have a rough idle, engine light blinks,and a strong smell of gas. Been chasing this engine light and can’t seem to fix it. Compression test was done, it’s good. Such a headache
Hello! It sounds like you have covered all the basics already. What was the compression of the cylinders? Did you check that all the coils have sparks and that all the injectors are turned on by the computer? Let me know
Thanks for your elaborate diagnostic procedures. My 2013 chevy Silverado is having a misfire on #7 and has two codes,it’s a P0172 and a P0175,do you think a rocker arms have a bad lifter ? Thanks
2007 Tahoe ltz..lifter on cylinder 6 was collapsed…so I freed it up and check engine light went off..no codes stored but still running rough and occasional blue smoke and no power accelerating
You obviously are a master mechanic so I trust this Tahoe will run like a dream once you fix it. Do you know if the owner would be interested in selling?

Seems to be a common problem with AFM motors and the affected cylinders, 1,4,6, and 7!

Check fuel pressure, and make sure catalytic are not restricted. Keep me posted.

Hello. Yes, I fixed the issue for the customer. It was a collapse lifter.
