    Poor guy. Hope someone has taught you how to use a leakdown test. You did so much work. I am stoked at your determination... Gotta give you that

  • @leonardgrover5479
    @leonardgrover5479 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

    Just one question. If after you determined that fuel, and spark were fine, why not perform a cylinder leak down test , and that would determine if it was an intake or exhaust valve problem?

      I don't have the tool for that test. Which i will be buying one soon

    Ok so are you saying that is not a collapsed lifter? Because mine is doing exactly the same thing. Also can you use a 12v test light instead of a noid light?

    • @JaboTheMechanic
      @JaboTheMechanic  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes you can use a test light. It was a burnt valve

    2019 Ram 5.7 39k miles. P0307 misfire as well. 2 plugs and Coil Pack changed and I still a problem. Old spark plugs were very dark and had a lot of black residue.

      Start a diagnosis checklist and go down it for whatever code you have. Example: I have a 5.3L with p0300: - Tried:
      Changed Spark, Wires, coils, MAF, air filter, intake manifold gasket, no air box leaks, tested o2 sensor for continuity (Good),
      - Haven’t Tried: Fuel Filter, crankshaft relearn (Pro Scan-Tool), check fuel pressure, cylinder compression, cam & crank sensors,

      @@JaboTheMechanic yes, I have changed coils, getting spark on all cylinders , while it’s running I plugged the coils and cylinders 5,7 & 8 where the only ones that changed the pitch of the engine. Took valve covers off and felt around on springs and rocker arms nothing felt broke.

    • @JaboTheMechanic

      Switch the injectors around to see if the issue follows the injectors that you swapped. And how are the spark plugs

    Please learn how to use the word “actually” WOW do you want to sound illiterate? Also, a tip do a baseline test first showing your audience the symptom, in this case P0307, this will help explain what you're trying to do.
