that's exactly what I was thinking, I recently watched a few vids about that kind of a scenario and it's entirely possible.
or she thought it has little or no meat and thought whats the point expending energy killing it if mom isnt going to come after her baby.
@@ForzaBlucerchiati she already expended the energy catching it, if it was so small it wouldn’t have taken any basically any energy to eat
Yeah I was thinking it probably smell like a newborn.. Not much to gain even food wise from killing a newborn.
Smells like BBQ
Plot twist: Lion used the calf to navigate to her mom and eat them both

It's not really a mystery, but it IS Beautiful - a mother's instinct is very strong.
And since that day, she's realized how violent she was and turned her life around.
She founded an NGO and regularly organizes marches to stop the crimes linked to gnuphobia.

WHAT MYSTERIOUS REASON? The lioness is mother too. she has a kind heart
It's the smell, newborns are covered in amniotic fluid, it must have triggered the maternal side.

Wow, I am thinking that lioness wasn't very hungry, or just didn't have the heart to smoke that little one, maybe she just had a litter of her own, idk, but the more I watch these animals the more I am fascinated by them .

This is why Lions are rulers of the jungle, probably the best species there is. The lioness felt pity on the baby and showed her large heartedness .
