GASPÉSIE CROSS COUNTRY SKIING: we found an alpine lake!

- Cross-country skiing is a sport where you strap skis to your feet and glide across the alpine winter wonderland. Well, that's how it looks when you watch Krysta ski!
Brian on the other hand didn't start cross country skiing until he was 30 (when he met Krysta!) It was a rocky start, as you'll soon find out in this video, but with perseverance he is now ready for his longest day on cross country skis.
Together, we ski to a beautiful alpine lake within the Gaspésie National Park, in Quebec, Canada.

I’m 30 learning how to ski for the first time my husband is 33 learning as well ! We’ve been having lots of laughs and falls haha

Can you only snowplow downhill in cross country skiing or can you parallel turn too?
Hey Ann- Brian here: right now, I can only snowplow.... I just asked Krysta about parallel turns and she says "It's possible, but very difficult so most people won't do it. She wouldn't ever use that technique in a race."

i was in a fencing club decades ago and our instructor was a coach for the US junior olympic team and he had us go against his charges and there's nothing like being 30 and getting absolutely spear-fished by an eleven year old
