Hi there, I was inspired by your videos that I went and removed my 270 cdi engine from a w211 and iam swapping it with a m103 and turbo charging it not an easy swap cause I still have to build a new sump love your work man

That's a great ecu the microsquirt has most of the same features for a bit less that's why we stopped using the ms2 and ms3 and I hope the videos help you out if you have any questions please feel free to ask I'm more than happy to help
a friend of mine gave me a M104 engine with the same trigger wheel but he had positioned it over on the side of the Alternator. i hope i can make this work with the Megasquirt3
You replace it with the trigger wheel you toss it or if you feel like you have to use it there are different kits online that will let you keep it TE Motorsports makes a kit as well I personally have been doing this for over 8 years with zero issues this is the one I prefer
Is that the Turbobandit trigger kit ? And also, I would really like to see that bracket for the wasted spark. Did efi to my 260E, but fuel only for now. My car is an automatik and was thinking of using the m111 w203 flywheel since it has the 60-2 trigger and VR sensor in stock location, what do you think ? I need to take the gearbox out anyway, it's not shifting into 4th anymore. Btw, nice work! Really enjoy your videos.
Yessir the trigger kit is from turbobandit and I can share some pics in the next video it's just a platform style that the wasted spark sits on very simple and it fits great under the plastic cover and nice man that's awesome the flywheel from the 203 will fit I can't remember off the top of my head the trigger position for it but you can use it as a 60-2 you are correct and thank you I hope they can help in some way to most 😁

I'm building an m104 turbo w124 and before I started the build with no knowledge, I wanted to learn on my m103 car since it had always trouble starting and running rough on KE, so I build a speeduino and spend hours on forums and such and then also did my m102 w124. I was scared in the beginning but then once I got to do it and it worked, I was really proud of myself and started having fun. I hope more people will start appreciating the m103/m104 engines and keep the cars running on modern technology for a long time to come. It's actually more cost effective to EFI an M103 than to replace the KE, the prices went to the roof...
@awk666 agreed they really are great motors and very strong compared to other brands efi and boost on a 3.0 engine easy 700hp reliability doing nothing to it stock block and 2.6 is a little less at 450hp but still bone stock doing just efi and boost they are amazing

Asking for a friend. Who thinks. supercharged 506hp, m103 in an SE, with 560 badge stripped back to the structural non intrusion cell, no glass except the sunroof tilted up.
That's not a stupid question at all the 60-2 trigger wheel is the most generic trigger pattern for just about every stand alone ECU made so it's easy to use without doing a bunch of other work the OEM crank trigger 3tooth setup I don't think is compatible with the ECU and if I'm being 100% honest with you I've never tried it the stock sensor would most likely work if you cut the end and figure out if it's a 2 wire or a 3wire sensor
@@Eumelbaer69 what do you mean keeping wasted spark we added wasted spark it use to have a different setup. There is zero need for full sequential spark. And I personally don't like using the ls coils or r8 coils and even if we used that it's still setup in the ECU as wasted spark.
@@rafaelestrada-gl2sh if you have the same trigger wheel I use then yes because it's a fixed position on the crank with the dowel coming out to make sure it fits on the trigger wheel and it's mark is at 84' at tdc

I know it kinda sucks wish more people were into them and it's ok to remove it 100% it's more of a house weight than anything and that's awesome the 201 is my personal fav car if you haven't noticed 😅 I have a bit of an addiction

im researching and learning to do EFI my w201 2.6 , coz its starting to be a pain in the a** the fuel distributor, im going to use a ms2

I already bought, now I'm looking at what else I need for sensors, fuses and relays, fuel regulator and so on
What about the harmonic balancer? How do you balance the crankshaft?

Yes that has been done before in the past the problem is you can't tune for ignition so you'll have lots of fuel but with no way to advance the timing
Adaptor collar at the points shaft and iridium plugs. I think whatever it is limited to is sufficient for me
