Autobots, transform and roll out!
Transformers: Convoy no Nazo (トランスフォーマー コンボイの謎) is about the Autobot Ultra Magnus cruising a very frustrating and difficult journey to discover who killed Optimus Prime. No, I'm serious ( en.wikipedia.o... ).
Angry Video Game Nerd covered this game in 2009. Quoting adelikat ( tasvideos.org/... ): As he describes in the video, this game notoriously difficult to play. Poor hit detection, 1 hit and you are dead, awkward controls, and very little in the way of power-ups make this game frustrating for the average player.

I like how they decided that white screen flashing simply wouldn't be enough, so they added red AND blue to the mix in an effort to predate and outperform that episode of pokemon in seizure-triggering potential

Yeah, trust the same team that made the abysmal SNES Fatal Fury to make a tie-in of a movie that didn’t even release in Japan yet.

It always bugged me that they used Romaji on the end screen, yet they used japanese characters on the title screen (not sure if it is hira or kata, Japanese isn't my thing). Why did they do that?
I think all of those Japanese characters in the subtitle are sprites. The devs may have cheaped out and didn't bother to put in a Japanese font in the game despite being a Japan-only release.
P.S. "Convoy" (first four characters) is in katakana "no" is hiragana and "nazo" (the last character) is kanji.

You know, instead of just randomly having the Decepticon Logo as a boss, they should have moved the remaining bosses back a level and made the final boss Unicron.

The warps happened when the player stopped to kill an specific enemy and then get a cutscene with Bumblebee (?).

@@aweirdredtoad3637 That's only a Beetle by a generous stretch of the imagination, but I guess it doesn't look any more like Wheelie's altmode either.
This made it look so easy...
until finally I see someone doing a game with a shitty challenge, the truth is that I rarely see someone doing a game with that game, since I thought they weren't going to do it because it was complicated.
Japan made this in response to the movie getting delayed to 1989. One of the manga would later address this continuity issue.
I bet Japanese fans were happy about the movie! :)
I thought it was in response for the absence of Prime since he wasn't present for the Japanese continuation of the series after their run of season 1-3?
