The more lore we get to EFT the more depressing it gets. I love Nikita for hitting this sweet, post-apocalyptic and just sad story based in Russia. Maybe that's why it hits so well because I am from Russia and we had a similar catastrophe in Ukraine under the USSR.
The story is great. I love that they take a similar route tk what Blizzard does In WoW. The Horde and the Alliance both have done bad stuff. USEC and BEAR have both done bad stuff. You just brought back memories. I remember playing Contract Wars back in the 2010s. I didn't even know the two were connected. I wondered why Tarkov seemed so familiar even though I got it a few days ago.
This was pretty cool to watch, very well done Lore video. But.... The only thing I don't understand is why the Russian Government/Military pretty much trapped thier own BEAR Operatives inside the Tarkov containment zone with no real chance to get out due to a shoot on sight order that I guess applies to BEAR's as well as USEC? You would think they would be given the orders to only fire on sight of anyone who isn't a BEAR Operator so that the BEARs can effectively do what thier group was created to do.... You know, figure out what USEC was doing in Tarkov that required them pretty much turning an entire city into a war zone. It just seems like a move that isn't in thier best interests to carry out to me.
BEAR is trapped because they're not linked to Russia according to It's goverment, the UN and most of the Russian Armed Forces knowing that a PMC group participating in the fighting inside Tarkov as early as the Contract Wars would mean Russia exposing the fact that they have the ability to fight in proxy wars, perhaps having fought in other ones..
Both USEC and BEAR factions are PMC's (Private Military Contractors) usually hired by a private company and usually not government sanctioned. Even in the BEARS are Russian they probably have different if not opposing interests. A PMC is a hired gun and usually viewed as mercenaries.
@@tylerhelphinstine7608 BEAR is just an arm of the Kremlin to do dirty work such as in Tarkov. They most likely cant get out due to them having to officially be separate from the Russian Gov.

Awesome video and info, adds so much more to the game for me. Every PMC that we play has is standing up for morals against a corporation or a government that has abandoned them
To be fair to the BEAR's they aren't abandoned per se, they're used as special forces but still a "PMC" which can be denied to exist, giving multiple layers of deniability to the Russian Federation. They'd extract them if they could and when they can, but it is extremely hard. And for USEC, most don't know what happens at the top, to them its just a security job. Its why on the helmet cam footage a fight breaks out between different USEC's, because only a few were trusted with personnel liquidation.

I know you watch our content so you probably have seen most of it. The other videos we do around lore are our interpretation along with limited documentation, things around the world etc we see.
I love the story so far because it is so believable that conflict like this can get so out of control, and disillusioned soldiers become survivors, and everyone fights for power in the region
You should do a video about the Chronicles of Rhyzy-series, and everything that happend in-game about that story. His dad got kidnapped by terragroup and everything, can't get enough of this world and their story, how we play out in it etc.
That video makes me want to restart my play through and actually focus on the story, the roleplay potential is there. Of course, in the end of the day, it is about exfilling with a backpack of loot, but I just feel bad that I skipped out on the blurbs of story that came from the quests I had done so far.
Thanks for putting things in a nice timeline and there is a lot of extra info that was good to know, It would be nice to see more context about the game
A beautifully done video, that does justification for the game, very intriguing my friend. I hope this video get brought to the whole Tarkov community. Excellent cohesive story telling on your part man! Well done
This is an absolutely INCREDIBLE video! I never knew Tarkov’s lore went this deep. Thanks for all the work you put into it! _also I will never be able to shoot another scav ever again because of this video, it makes me too sad because they’re all desperate civilians just trying to survive_
All throughout the video I was thinking to myself that it wouldn’t make any sense for a BEAR operative to work with USEC contractor considering the shit TerraGroup was up to until you mentioned closer to the end that pockets of survivors from both groups were joining together. I really appreciate this insane level of world building down to explaining why a gameplay functionality was possible in this way.
Thank you for this, definitely didn't know half of what you went over despite trying to pay attention and playing through 3 wipes. Will re-watch the live action stuff with all this in mind.
Watching this movie and thinking about it, there’s a possibility that the roadblock posted up in the clips from the raid series is set in the lighthouse map at the water purification area. The roadblocks and tower positioning looks kinda similar, along with the walls being set in rough positions with breach areas along side it. Hmmmm thoughts?
Defo shoreline, you can see the czech hedgehogs on both the raid film and in game map. Not to mention that beyond that is terminal which is meant to be last part of tarkovs story, and also its the last part of the raid series
This video is epic and I’m not even half way through it. Excellent production work you’ve done here sir. This is a book, movie, or series I’d love to watch and read. I guess for now I need to get a pc and play the game
Man this video is so good. I've been playing *Tarkov* since it was released into the public for *Alpha* playtesting. Got the bad ass *Alpha Armband* to prove ones loyalty to fighting against *Terrorgroup* as a *Bear Operator* this entire time, never went *USUCK* ... oops I meant *USEC* . Thankfully my *Bear* knows Broken English. *Tarkov & DayZ* were the main reasons I wanted to get a gaming PC so desperately... I was blown away when I first played *Tarkov.* I did not think that a game could be even more realistic then *DayZ* but man I was mistaken. Seeing all the different ammunition and armor in the game gave me a damn hard on and that was way back in the day when it was only 10% of what's in the game now. The good ol' *Kiver & 6B big ass Fort Armor* meta. Even after playing for years and having over 7,000 hours in the game I only recently found out that *Tarkov* has actual Novels out that you can read. Anyone know if theres a way to read some of the novels or do you have to buy them online? Absolutely love this lore video, as it makes the gameplay of *Tarkov* feel 10x more enhanced than it would without knowing all this lore of the world of *Tarkov* ...
am i the only one who thought, at numerous times, this was just an account of real life events? tarkov's lore has definitely managed to capture the absurd nature of the current world's geopolitical state very well.
I feel like the war will break out past Tarkov and into Russia itself, mainly due to Russia 2028 is BSG's next game and most likely being connected to Tarkov

Check out the stalker story and lore man. Tarkov took things heavily from it. The movie is amazing as well. Tarkov was highly inspired by stalker
there is a short series called Raid on youtube.
I love the story so far because it is so believable that conflict like this can get so out of control, and disillusioned soldiers become survivors, and everyone fights for power in the region
cant wait for the story, this is all so exciting.
Great video! Never played the game but the gun play has got me into video games again. Great story line!
i love how u used footage of that detroit urban survival training guy
You should do a video about the Chronicles of Rhyzy-series, and everything that happend in-game about that story.
His dad got kidnapped by terragroup and everything, can't get enough of this world and their story, how we play out in it etc.
This content was created so well, keep up the good work 👍
That video makes me want to restart my play through and actually focus on the story, the roleplay potential is there. Of course, in the end of the day, it is about exfilling with a backpack of loot, but I just feel bad that I skipped out on the blurbs of story that came from the quests I had done so far.
This is a very well made video… would love to hear your theories bc you know all the lore info
Thanks for putting things in a nice timeline and there is a lot of extra info that was good to know, It would be nice to see more context about the game
This is so well made deserves more attention.
A beautifully done video, that does justification for the game, very intriguing my friend. I hope this video get brought to the whole Tarkov community. Excellent cohesive story telling on your part man! Well done
Great Videos as always!
Love the music in the beginning, gives me Baserunner vibes.
Brilliant video, very interesting and well made
Well done video. Gives context to and answers a lot of the questions surrounding the "Tarkov World". Thanks.
I almost believe it’s all true … well done video ! Really great work
The best Tarkov lore video on the platform. Hands down
Such a good video, well done!
Awesome vid...havent played tarkov much, but now knowing more lore i feel truly engaged to play it more! Thanks for the effort doing this.
This is an absolutely INCREDIBLE video! I never knew Tarkov’s lore went this deep. Thanks for all the work you put into it!
_also I will never be able to shoot another scav ever again because of this video, it makes me too sad because they’re all desperate civilians just trying to survive_
I too always think of this whenever I take a scav’s life and gear, it makes ya think
its good, more immersive
Very well done 👏. Imagine tarkov lore in a full length series? That would be an amazing show.
Never knew the UK had such an important part of the story
Insane video, I love EFT and this great indepth summary of the lore makes me so excited to see the game unfold.
This video brought a tear to my eye multiple times. Amazing stuff!!
What a great video, so well done I had to remind myself it isn't real haha. Very well made, informative and compeling.
Very rarely do I "like" videos, mostly because I just forget. I liked this video
Insane quality!
Saying this this video is good is a total understatement compared to the effort which must have gobe into this!! THX man
Brilliant video, made me twice as excited to play the game
There is no lore in the game, dont expect it to be some kind of super interesting history because there is 0 history in the game.
Bro this video got me thinking Tarkov based off a true story. love this man. very much needed video
Thank you for this, definitely didn't know half of what you went over despite trying to pay attention and playing through 3 wipes. Will re-watch the live action stuff with all this in mind.
Dude you made this so realistic I almost thought this all really happened. Great job
Wow noice & merry Christmas ☃️🎄
Thanks for the like
I don't think I've ever heard a better backstory to a game, the first 15mins I thought it was a story and city! Love it!
Watching this movie and thinking about it, there’s a possibility that the roadblock posted up in the clips from the raid series is set in the lighthouse map at the water purification area. The roadblocks and tower positioning looks kinda similar, along with the walls being set in rough positions with breach areas along side it. Hmmmm thoughts?
no its on shoreline's ccp temporary extract
@@skeleton1421 tbf lighthouse and shoreline are right next to each other they could’ve been traversing that general area
I didn't even play EFT but only the Contract Wars on Facebook long time ago but man! this get this interested lore wise and Quality of the contents and information and some stuff! Great work man 😍🤙🏻
Out of curiosity I looked up “tarkov” on Google maps. It sent me to places in russia and Europe where people left reviews referencing the game. Made me laugh.
LOL, Im gonna check it
There is lowkey a sad reality behind this story, i am actually seeing some similarities between real life and this story
