Goshawks - get out and look! (part 1)

Calm, sunny days between February and April are the best time to look for displaying Goshawks above woodland blocks in much of the UK. Mark Eaton, secretary of the Rare Breeding Birds Panel, has been out on the hunt for Goshawks.

You just got to find an area of woodland that has a good wide view & sit watching for hours for a brief glimpse.

I'm still not able to say that I have seen a goshawk although I know that I can go to keilder and forest of Dean and new forest and other known hot spots however I am desperately waiting to see them in my own patch of Lancashire as I know that they have been seen and have nested in various areas....I particularly want to see them in the Blackburn and Darwen area where there is huge conifer plantations and I have spoken with some lucky people who have seen them there......I know that they are around the Gisburn forest area and Bowland....
