Some advice on looking for displaying Goshawks

Early spring is by far the best time to find new Goshawk territories, or confirm continued occupation of existing ones. In this short video Panel Secretary Mark Eaton gives some encouragement and hints as to where, when and how to look. The UK Goshawk population is increasing and spreading rapidly, so there's a good chance of finding new pairs if you get out looking - but remember to watch from a distance, and not to approach nests due to the risk of disturbing the birds at sensitive times (and breaking the law!).

Should I wear a protective helmet? They can get pretty aggressive when young are in the nest.
