- In today's video, I put a new set of oil filled shocks on my Sandyland! They are the ones for the Haiboxing 18858/18859. They have much softer springs, as well as way longer travel which makes them amazing for handling! This is definitely a great mod. Enjoy!

Hey thanks for checking them out i'm glad they work well.
Thanks for suggesting them!
Always impressed with your editing skills and how well thought your videos are. I think your videos are fun and informative and definetely not just thrown together or boring. Keep it up!
Thanks! 😄
Well looks impressive, especialy with "fall test/ drop test" Another good thing your little plastic bullet, does not fall apart in few pieces as in previous videos! And absolutley agree with fellow below- bigger tiers and ofroad run/ jumps will be interesting to see!!
Entertaining as always! Great video and big thumbs up!
Sweet rig.
I have the stock suspension right now and I lifted it because it gives more ground clearance and the suspension actually gets softer being closer to the truck.
The first upgrade is gonna be bearings, then these shocks.
Nice!
Just curious why replace the whole shock instead of different oil or springs? Should have given the same affect,
Great job on the video!
Thanks! I tried to replace the spring a little while ago, but I couldn’t find any that’d fit on the shocks. Also, the new shocks are longer. But you’re right! New springs and oil would do basically the same thing.
@@CHEESEBURGERRC ok makes sense 👍
just ordered the shocks and bearings, motor is next but I'm going for specific parts and not the kit to see if I can get more power.
Nice! That thing is gonna fly!
Nice job on this. Those oil shocks make a huge difference! Where did you find your cooler shroud for this? Great stuff on your channel just having fun with Rc’s!!
Thanks! I 3D printed my fan mount. I have a download link + some instructions on it in this video: th-cam.com/video/Cp6ka8JwI30/w-d-xo.html
Unfortunately, you can’t buy it online, but you probably could get a 3D printing service to make it for you.
Hey man I also have a sandyland and was wondering what are some good offroad tires for it?
I use the Latrax Teton tires. They do great on dirt and short grass, and they’re also awesome on the road. They’re definitely much grippier than the stock ones, and they last way longer too!
Dang I wanted more rustler 😂😭 but what type of oil did you put in these ones....
Canola?😂😂😭
Lol they came with oil. I got some actual shock oil this time just in case though! 😂
@@CHEESEBURGERRC WOO HOO!!!
Can't find man is so hard to find 18 scale tires or a size that fit any ideas where I can get them from
I know what you mean! Tires are pretty hard to find. I have found some good ones though. I currently use the ones for the Latrax Teton. They’re really nice all around tires, and are pretty grippy! I’ve also found a set of street tires which are great on dry pavement. I’d personally recommend the Teton tires though because they work well on most surfaces.
Teton tires I bought for my 9300 dosen't fit. The hex r to small on bk tires. Not sure if I bought the right ones. Not help please. Was tryna upgrade my tires.
next you should get bigger tiers for the sand land for a video
For sure!
Who makes that car 🤔 is it deersc
Pxtoys is the company that made this one, but Deerc sells a rebranded version. Or maybe this one is the rebrand. I’m not entirely sure.
@@CHEESEBURGERRC so yours is the px9300
@@payasito8132 Yes.
where do you get that oil shock at? my son have the same car that you have and he really want that shock.
Right here: www.amzn.to/3vQYNz3
thank you
love your videos I have a Sandy land also, great little car. howw many cars do you have?
Thanks! I just have the Sandyland and the Rustler. I’m gonna get some more soon though!
Cool. Man you changed sandy into a whole other car, how much did it cost you to get the parts and such I'm thinking of doing the same to my car
@@cringedefender5264 In total, it probably costed me about $250, but I guarantee you could do it for much less. For example, I’ve seen motors online for half the price that are just as good. Also, I’ve replaced several upgrades with upgrades (like these shocks for example) which makes it much more expensive. If you shop around, you could probably fully upgrade your sandyland for less than $150!
Thanks so much man really appreciate it. Glad to be subscribed
The tetons tires don't fix on the 9300. The hex is to small on the tire. How u get them bbn tires to fit?? Need help..
Huh. I’ve never heard of that happening before. Where did you get your 9300? And the tires?
It’s possible that the hole is just tight. The threaded bit is just exactly big enough to fit through the tire, so you sometimes have to give it a push. (Don’t force it though obviously)
Whr u get ur upgrade tires from?
@@winstonoso5821 I got mine at the hobby shop
What size are your hexes on your car? They should be 12 mm. If they are and the ones on the teton tires aren’t, you may have gotten knock off tires. There are a LOT of knock off teton tires online.
Are you able to mount the shocks with the stock hardware screws?
Unfortunately no. The stock screws are the wrong size.
@@CHEESEBURGERRC so neither the stock screws from the original spring shocks nor the screw that come with it fit? Sorry I may have not been specific enough hahaha. I got one for my little bros for Christmas and I’m putting bearings and this new suspension system in.
@@carterscott5508 The screws they come with are too small to work without the little metal ball things (no idea what they’re called.) Unfortunately, the balls don’t come with the shocks. I got them off my old shocks.
It may be possible to file down the stock screws or drill out the new shocks so that they are the right size, which could possibly let you use the stock screws.
Alternatively, you can try some other screws. I’m testing some from my parts drawer right now, and I’ll update this as soon as I find one that works!
Update: I’ve found something! Get some small washers - the hole in the middle should be 2-3 mm across. (The one I found is 3mm across, but just slightly loose. It does still work though! The whole washer is 8mm across.)
When you put the screws which come with the new shocks through the washer, they will be big enough to fit, and will work!
You should be able to find some washers in the right size at a hardware store.
I’ll keep looking for screws that can fit, but I think the washers are the best bet.
@@CHEESEBURGERRC thank you so much for the reply!!! I just get the shocks in and all three packs came with the ball joints! Not too sure why yours didn’t. I also called my local hobby shop and they carried them too. Thank you again for your answer and your time. If I couldn’t find those ball joints I would have definitely gone with your idea!! Love your mod vids btw keep it up!
Great video :)
Hey! What about reverse?
I reset the throttle endpoints and that fixed it!
Which upgrade kit is the best?
The only upgrade I got in a kit was the brushless motor, and that is definitely a very good upgrade. My second favorite upgrade would have to be the batteries, because they make the car run for way longer and have way more power. The bearings are also a great upgrade for speed. I would say these oil filled shocks are sort of a must have if you have all those other ones, because they make the car so much more controllable. You really can't go wrong with the upgrades on this car though! They're all awesome!
@@CHEESEBURGERRC Thanks for the suggestion! Ill save for that stuff.
I'm First great vid
