    the best video on Drywashing I have ever seen. you are right, there are no real good guides on how to Drywash and you just gave the most helpful advanced tips I have ever seen no less heard or read about. I want to tell you I got so involved in the video that around 30:28 when you are vacuuming up the Gold and the pile shows it face I was hooting and hollaring right along with you both. "Dam exciting to see good color! Great video Boys! you guys are amazing!" thanks for the tips. I have been drywashing now for about 10+ years and I just learned quite a bit from you. THANK YOU!

    great job and thanks for all your efforts to produce this video, I know you guys do this but for the new Prospectors out there when you're finished up vacuuming tap the hose all around (while it's still running) because the vacuum hose acts like a sluice and a lot of fines get stuck along the hose, sure is fun being out there, late last year I spent a few days at the cargo Muchachos and I didn't find a whole lot like usual (2.5 to 3 grams) but it was fun, what I really enjoyed is on my way home I'll stop at the Yuma Golden Corral and eat about 10 steaks

    from creek beds, and bedrock. Never seen it done, wonder if it would be faster than the ol fashion bucket brigade? At work we have huge industrial Vac trucks that we use, man these things will dig a 4 foot deep trench hole in minutes, I could imagine the damage they would do cleaning up creekbeds and bedrock.

      Cloth , we’ve tried mesh and the idea sounded great but were met with odd air pressure rates which made the material not flow correctly

    Trap is a Victor #2 double spring. Possible set by a government trapper or a rancher who was having trouble with coyotes. If you have a good set that works, maybe where you've made multiple catches, you might use a drag (the double hook arrangement on the chain) to let the coyote get caught and then get away from your trap set so he doesn't mess it up so much and it's not too hard to remake. Eventually the hooks get caught on the underbrush and you can track the drag through the desert and find and dispatch the coyote. If you stake the trap instead of using a drag, it fixes the trap and gives the coyote something it can pull against and he may be able to pull his foot out. I would consider a #2 a little small for a coyote, but it would work. 2½ or #3 is more appropriately sized.
    As an aside, I'm still running and SD2200.

    Amazing video!!!! Thank you for all those great tips!! Some things i need to do differently. I recently bought the middle size Royal drywasher. Should i drill a hole like you talked about with this unit. I ran it a few time before the rain hit this winter and i noticed that my material was definitely not as equal as what yours was in the video. Could that be because of no weight on the back. I did use a level to make sure i was set up right. I even check the level after i was done running.

    • @IBRAKEFORBEDROCK
      @IBRAKEFORBEDROCK  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Couple things to check:
      Always use forced air that has variable speed. Lower the air volume to use only what it needs to classify and flow the material over the riffles.
      Also consider drilling a hole dead center of the back to hold a rock with some string. The rock weight can help stabilize the bottom tray and kleep it from bouncing and shaking to violently . **Do not drill into the box.**
      Good job checking level before and during as the machine can certainly change position while running.

    Great aerial footage, and awesome gold you two..!! By the way Adam, I don't have the paint buckets, but have a bunch of Home Depot buckets. Any suggestions on keeping them "the buckets" apart? They get stuck one inside another, and it takes a category 5 hurricane to pry them apart. Iv'e tried WD-40 the exterior of the buckets etc., but not a lot of success. Any idea's?

      Thats a bummer , I usually wind up banging them on a rock until they separate ....Sorry, I dont have a good solution to that problem...

    • @torsteneide4915
      @torsteneide4915 ปีที่แล้ว

      Put a couple three tiny screws into the side of each bucket (screwing them in towards the inside of the bucket) just at the threshold before the spot where they tend to suction together. Ideally as close to the level where they get stuck so they still stack in the most compact way possible.
      Will take a bit of experimenting but once you figure out the required distance you can just measure it and make yourself a little jig with a small length of wood with a little notch in the end to position the screw and another bit on the bottom to hook under the bottom of the bucket. That way you can “fix” a whole bunch of buckets real fast.
      Also it’s critical all of the buckets your using are identical.
      If your using a collection of different buckets the bucket binding issue will continue to be a royal pain in the ass!
      Good luck man!

    Hey guys I love the vids and have been watching for quite awhile now. I am curious, when you say you ran 100 or 300 buckets in the drywasher, is that with dumping the riffles into a bucket periodically or do you just rely on the physics of heavy material sinking and the riffle catching it? So many other vids show the riffles being emptied, saying the gold will walk out to the tailings pile, if not kept clean.

    • @IBRAKEFORBEDROCK
      @IBRAKEFORBEDROCK  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, basically we dump the trays every 30 buckets or so . Type of gold and the amount & type of heavies plays a role in that too.

    I’ve watched a lot of dry washing videos but what I appreciate about this one is you guys taking the time to show how you set your Drywasher up. I’m going to take what I learned here and apply when I go out and set up.
    I do have a question for you though. I have the 140s with that gate in the back to release air flow. Should I use that to mitigate the shaking of the rifle tray or do you think I should keep it closed and use a weight Stabilize it?

    • @IBRAKEFORBEDROCK
      @IBRAKEFORBEDROCK  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The shake is created by the counter weight/ fan combo in the lower box. Im not sure that opening that port would mitigate the shaking. It would however, regulate the air volume going through the tray fabric. The weights work really well to stabilize "over shaking"

    • @renepaz4208
      @renepaz4208 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ll have to try it without and with the weights and see how it works out. Again Thanks for this info and Can’t wait for the next video. Maybe one day you guys can do a clean up video on how you completely separate out all the black sand.
