The color is called Falu rödfärg (Red paint from Falun). Falun is a town in the middle of Sweden and there is a very old copper mine. From copper-poor ore that has weathered for centuries, "red dust" is formed, which in addition to copper contains a rare combination of iron ocher, silicic acid and zinc. And that is used to make the paint. The pain is common on houses in the whole of Sweden.
I just wanted to say that, loved it when you mentioned "LAGUM". It's something that humanity really needs to realize nowadays. Also, the tiny home you showcased is perfect and I plan to use it as a reference when I build my own little home for retirement. Thanks a bunch for sharing!
I learned so much during my stay. The home really does inspire you and make you consider everything. It felt very right and balanced. So glad this was helpful for you. I’d love to build a tiny one day and this has given me heaps of ideas too (:
Another excellent video production, complemented by the brilliant photography featuring exceptional framing throughout the video, both interior and exterior. Truly enjoyed examples of the inclusions of the “Fika” and “Lagom” mentality, and how the hosts lovingly provide a helping hand to enjoy such a remarkable lifestyle. These are folks who know how to welcome a house guest!
Such a crisp and clean cottage, charmingly decorated with exactly the elements necessary to enjoy one’s stay. The daybed/lounging area is perfectly framed, and benefits from the proximity of the huge window and fireplace - what an ideal spot to catch up on a favorite novel or contemplate life’s mysteries, over a mug of mulled wine. 0:50-0:53 - I enjoyed listening to you expound the aromas associated with the cottage: your “refreshing” descriptor would have worked well on its own; however, hearing each scent listed separately allows one to associate with pleasant olfactory sensations from one’s personal experiences, and really brings home your “refreshing” comment. I know you were in your element in that loft with the skylights, lulled to sleep by the gentle rain. Glad to hear you enjoyed your night’s rest. I must mention the musical selection as it truly matches the mood and setting. In the end, a perfect way to wrap up your experience at Little Falu: enchanting and unique, as these qualities were ever-present in the video. For me, the most magical moment of the video: 2:25 - because anyone who interrupts filming to appreciate the ephemeral beauty of nature is someone who has figured out one of life’s great lessons. And: greatly appreciate the humorous outtakes at the end of the video, which, as always, show that making these videos is not the easy “walk in the park” that you make it seem.
The inclusion of the upcoming videos portion of the video is a wonderful idea, detailing future projects and providing an insight into the process of the channel. Speaking of which, I cannot emphasize enough what a pleasure it has been to see your career grow, and your knowledge and expertise continue to flourish with each video. Thank you for bringing us along for the ride.
Hey Mark, thanks for your patience with my reply here. I can’t tell you how much your comment and the $20 donation mean to me-seriously, thank you! It’s not just the support, but the fact that you really get the little things, like the “Fika” vibe and the way you caught that moment at 2:25. That pause to take in nature-I love that you noticed it. Feels like we’re on the same page there. You’ve been with me for a while, and honestly, having people like you along for the ride makes this whole journey so much better. Your words about my work growing hit me hard-makes me want to keep pushing, doing more. It’s like chatting with an old friend whenever I read your comments. Thanks for always being here, Mark. You’re appreciated more than you know. Can’t wait to share more with you. Cheers, mate!
Yes, the little home is lovely, but, equally important, I would like to thank you, Ben, for your soft-spoken, genuine presentation. I’ve grown tired of loud, presenters with false enthusiasm, particularly among your generation. All the best, Ben! By the way, I did subscribe to your channel, hoping to see more of the same.
Really amazing tiny house Ben, but sooooo looking forward to viewing your next one on Stella The Stargazer Off Grid Tiny in Vic !! Keep up the great work, team.
It looks lovely. I love banquet window seats. I personally wouldn’t want the tub and would need my bed on the main level. Something to consider for anyone planning their own home…the bathroom sink would not work for me as it doesn’t give my arms room when washing my face etc. They’d be hitting the walls. Definitely not for more than a vacation without storage/closet space.
What a lovely little place to spend a weekend unwinding from the stresses of everyday life... I love the fact there's both a bath and a shower in it, something you rarely see in tiny houses. 🛁
For me the value of the loft is worth the trip up and down. I think it makes the whole experience so cosy. Just depends on your personal preference and needs. If you are the type that needs a bathroom trip over night, you may want to look at a design with the bedroom on ground floor. 😊
The colour of the cabin is Falu red, a traditional colour for Swedish cabins. The shape is also in keeping along with the white trim. The use of light colours and timber inside along with florals. In addition the stay encourages traditional Swedish practices for Fika and Lagom. Just google a Swedish Falu summer cabin and you’ll see this is very much one of those.
This is a nice, well thought home! What is the size of it?
It certainly is! This one is 6m long, 2.4m wide and 4.3m tall.

Yes they really squeezed a lot in Rob, yet it didn’t feel cramped.
Lovely 🙂
The tiny cabin is amazing but the forest setting even better. 😂bloopers
Yea Roy, wasn’t the setting just so stunning. Like out of a book.
Yes bloopers are back from now on! Here to stay 🙌💗

You are so welcome!
Amazing Cottage , Great Video . Your style of video makes you almost feel there in the moment . Great job.
Thank you so much Dwayne. I really appreciate that. Love that. Glad you enjoyed this one.
Falun red, the name of the aluminium mine north of Stockholm. Stuga is the name of such a small cottage.
Wow, thank you for sharing. Was that for to the colour of the earth or what they mined in the area?
Copper
Thanks for sharing another awesome review. This setting could be in a fairly tale.
I think so too Hugh, although I’m looking forward to checking into chateau Bicheno Friday 🙏
Such a pretty tiny home! Looks bigger on the inside
It was very spacious!
I love this little Falu

Glad you enjoyed it Mr Sweeney! Bloopers are my favourite part 🤣
@@bennybnb it’s very cute … and honest 😂
I could live in that permanently. The only thing I'd change; is I'd have sofa bed where the day bed is.
Wow. A fold out sofa. That would be really cool. Then you could have friends stay too. Love it! Thanks for being here. 😄
素敵ですね😊 森の中の一軒家 内装 外観素敵ですね 私は好きです😊 日本から❤
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. So glad you liked it. A warm welcome to you! ✨🙌
Was that a bird or critter that ran across the pathway? Love your video.

Ben your house is really amazing. From India ❤
Thanks friend! I’ve been Toni dis a few years ago and had an amazing time.😊
Yay the bloopers are back!!!
Yes they are! Better than ever 🤪😂
May i know what vlogging camera you used?
Of course 😊 this was filmed on my Sony A7siii with a combination of lenses: 16-35gm, and prime lenses 85mm, 50mm and 24mm.
👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️
What brand is that little fire please ?
Looks very nice. Hopefully it lasts 20 years or more before the bushfires get it.
Все красиво, но я представляю ночные походы в туалет по этой лестнице, и очарование пропадает😂

Do you happen to know the dimensions of the house?
Yes I believe they are: Length: 6mtrs, Width: 2.4mtrs, Height: 4.3mtrs
@@bennybnb Thank you!
What is Swedish design? I do not see big different between North American cabin and Swedish cabin. May be something I missed it from your video.
