Susan, Do you think a lack of confidence can get in one's way? I record narration for my job and have for years- e learning material. I do get a lot of compliments, but I don't ever like the way I sound in recordings. Do you have any advice for adjusting to the way you sound vs. the way you think you sound? Great videos, thank you!
Confidence is key with anything social. self doubt has a way of holding people back and detracting from the power of the speaker. The best way to modulate the way you truly sound is by listening to recording of yourself and making small adjustments to how you reach the sound that you're going for. Best of luck out there!
I've been in theater since I was 7. Im 14 and have been the star in many many plays. I love mimicking anime voices and I can do very well. I hope that once I'm old enough, I can become a big voice actress in anime's and other US films.
hmm ever since i was a kid I was always approached by strangers telling me I had a beautiful voice and that I should put it to good use,since then I have worked on it and still to this day I get great commentary. I am 22 and I still have the voice of when I was 12. I compare myself with Andrea Libman because she too has that,about sounding like her kid self :)
Hi Susan, i want to break into voiceover industry, i am not a native speaker of English, but my accent is not terribly average, what can be the steps for me. I am willing to work for free for new small businesses that cannot pay to build a portfolio. Thanks. Anwar.
