Honestly, Luke should be the one building Jedi order. He is an OG character loved by all. Would have loved to see Luke training grogu and new younglins. Sequels just focused on making her OP as hell. Without training, she can do stuffs even Jedi Masters couldn't do.

I will never understand why the NPCs at lucasfilm are constantly acting like women have contributed nothing to Star Wars up till this point. Even though the inclusion of women has been a thing that the franchise has been doing from the fucking start. I think she meant about the in-universe characters. Yet, that would still mean that she is wrong. Padme, Leia, Ahsoka, Satele Shan, etc. have already made a huge impact in the Star Wars universe. Padme was indirectly the reason for things such as Maul, Vader and the Skywalker twins to occur, making her perhaps the most important character in the universe. Leia was pretty much the Rebellion’s main leader and had huge influence over many events throughout the originals. Ahsoka is the Padawan of Anakin and would go on to train other Jedi, fight Maul, etc. And Satele is perhaps the strongest Jedi in the old republic (aside from the hero of tython) and her story is deeply intertwined with Malgus and the events of the old republic.
Putting Sharmeen the Hutt into the director's chair for a Star Wars movie is like putting 'Wrong way Corrigan' in charge of the Pacific Fleet! Generally, when you have a good story to tell, you would be more excited to talk about the project, your vision, maybe even working with the team members, rather than how historic you are as a person. This sounds like she is preparing her defenses, so if the film flops, she can shift blame to the fans.
I can't recall any other company that has ever been so clearly out of touch with its customers, simply refused to learn from their failures or listen to the honest and valid criticisms. The biggest mistake Kathleen made was not insisting that the sequel trilogy be written by ONE person or team of people so that the whole arc would make sense. instead, she let each director do whatever the hell they wanted with no regard for what came before. Ruin Johnson famously made Luke look like an idiot and a disgruntled old man, which even Mark Hamill disagreed with (and he rarely says a bad word about anyone).

I will never understand why the NPCs at lucasfilm are constantly acting like women have contributed nothing to Star Wars up till this point. Even though the inclusion of women has been a thing that the franchise has been doing from the fucking start. They don't care that women have been integral to most star wars projects up to this point, they just want to build up artificial hype by lying to everyone and pretending that this is something unprecedented because it gives the audience the illusion of an underdog story, despite the fact that nearly everyone has already stopped falling for that shtick. This along with the idea's sheer level of tone deafness is why the Rey movie is almost certainly gonna flop. Even if it's a masterpiece, it's not likely anybody's gonna watch it because it's a movie nobody asked for, about a character almost everyone hates. Directed by yet another person pretending to be qualified based entirely on the idea that they are special in some way. "This is exciting because I'm a woman!" And on and on and on until now, they're repeating the first one because they've run out of lies to get asses in the seats. But. Then again. I think she meant about the in-universe characters. Yet, that would still mean that she is wrong. Padme, Leia, Ahsoka, Satele Shan, etc. have already made a huge impact in the Star Wars universe. Padme was indirectly the reason for things such as Maul, Vader and the Skywalker twins to occur, making her perhaps the most important character in the universe. Leia was pretty much the Rebellion’s main leader and had huge influence over many events throughout the originals. Ahsoka is the Padawan of Anakin and would go on to train other Jedi, fight Maul, etc. And Satele is perhaps the strongest Jedi in the old republic (aside from the hero of tython) and her story is deeply intertwined with Malgus and the events of the old republic.

It will at the most break even. It will have a massive budget and will end up with 700 mil. 250 for budget, 250 for marketing, 500 already, plus actor pay etc puts it at 650 or more. It won't make any more than that but will be considered bad imo

You are right. It is about time for a woman to come forward and shape the Star Wars story. Its not like Leia did anything significant while leading a rebellion at 19 years old after losing her entire planet and family then going on to help reform the republic after the fall of the empire and then going to form the resistance on her own when no one supported her when she learned about the first order and snoke after her son turning to the dark side, going through separation with han, her brother disappearing, and being galactically shamed when found out her father was darth vader...... Yep she did nothing. I could go on with people like Mon Mothma, Ahsoka, Padme, and several others but no they did nothing. Rey is going to be the hero that females should look up to because she actually does something..... Like randomly have broken powers with no training, accidentally almost blow up chewie because she has no idea what she is doing, and get gifted the story and movie that should have been lukes. If Star Wars wanted a movie about rebuilding the Jedi Order then the Story of Luke and Ben Solo and the return of the first order would have been much better.

Generally, when you have a good story to tell, you would be more excited to talk about the project, your vision, maybe even working with the team members, rather than how historic you are as a person. This sounds like she is preparing her defenses, so if the film flops, she can shift blame to the fans.
