Agree 100% percent on the lights. No reason not to include LED's on an almost $30K bike. Otherwise it's beautiful.
Nice review. By the way. The paint colors on this bike are right from the Police Pallett. The blue is known as Impact blue, and the white is Birch white. The seat is also right off the police version reupholstered in black and white. They may have trimmed the sides of the seat as well to allow people to get their feet closer to the ground. The rear bag guards were standard up to 2013 on police models but have been an optional accessory since then. I'm hoping they make the seat rail available as an accessory since I have 6 police seats in my garage taking up space.

The color is actually HiFi Blue, not impact. Also rear bag guards as well as the front fender guard is different than the standard police bikes. The seat is not just a re upholstered police seat, its different from the pan up. Cheers!
@@locomotive_motorcycles4434 Thru the years Harley has called this shade of blue by many names. On Police bikes it's called Impact Blue. That is the exact same color as Electric blue on other models. I know because I bought a tour pack from Advanblack in Electric Blue and it matches exactly. The bag guards were standard on police bikes until 2014 but are available in the accessory catalog #90200561 as is the fender trim 59600022 The seat pan that covers the battery and the spring is from the police set up. The seat itself is a modified version of the police seat. The Birch White has been a standard police color for as long as I can remember. I applaud H.D. for using parts and accessories already available and a few trim pieces to make a new/old model in limited numbers, to bring people into the showroom . Pure marketing genius. One can duplicate this bike pretty easily but it will never be the collectors item this bike is.
@@motorman857 electric blue may be the same as impact blue but neither of them are HI-FI blue. The rear bag guards on the revival have embossed emblems not found on the standard bag guards and the front fender guard has small script on the bottom front which reads "Electraglide revival". The seat pan, upholstery and fabric is different than a typical police seat pan. The mounting holes in the seat pan are different and its a different shape. I ride a 2019 police Electraglide for work and purchased a revival last week. (I also have 2 original 1967 HiFi blue bikes)

Awsome looking bike and definitely think it was the right move for Harley. Yes I do agree a CVO style key fob would have been a nice touch.
I kinda like them keeping the 117s for the CVO. I agree this is a special bike, but it also is less money than the CVOs. I’d feel a little slighted if I payed $40k for the 117 and later they came out with a $29k 117. Just sayin’.

I bought one today, 883 out of 1500! I was 11 when guys coming back from Viet Nam was buying these and cruising through the neighborhood, so many good memories of 1969! Thank you for a great review!!!
Looks like a Police Electra Glide (FLHTP) with a Boom GTS. Is that a solo or two up seat? I don't see any passenger pegs.
Agreed, on the key fob.
Seemed like an easy way to make it just a little more unique.
I felt like the street Bob 114 was like a limited edition, but since my bday is coming up, I do hope they surprise me with something worth investing in.
it's very police-ish. that's where the seat and some of the metal work comes from too. not that that's a bad thing. it's a VERY fancy police bike, now I just need to hit the lottery!

Well, I'm one day away from June and thinking hard about making this my next bike. I thought it was a massive ugly mistake when I first saw it both on line and in a mag and then at the store but when I got close and was at the store the second time I really began to like it. That seat is amazing and will ride comfortable and sit me up nicely whereas all the current dresser and touring are horrible on my back. That is why I bought a new Honda Gold Wing last year a 2020 Bagger was due to the seating position and I had actually test rode an old trade in Police Bike to see if it would work. Maybe, and I mean maybe, I'll be trying this bike out now.
I have seen several at dealers that I've seen. Not one person is comfortable with that seat. What was Harley thinking? Also, dealers are pricing it $6,000.00 above msrp.
Great looking bike out of my price range. I think Harley is on the right track. Love the look of old bikes that why I ride a deluxe.

Agreed. Harley, as well as Indian and a few others are great at marketing. - not so great at building dependable bikes and worse at making enough parts. Mine sat for two months without a clutch cable and Harley had none. The dealer wouldn’t even take one off another bike for me - Harley finally came through after 65 days of sitting. Disappointing. Once they have your money it’s over
I grabbed one used, low miles, cherry condish, at my local Harley shop this past weekend. I'm certain I won't see one again for probably another 15 years. Had to strike while the iron was hot.
I think it is an awesome looking bike and I’m definitely looking forward to future editions. I do think they’ll do the Nightster in August but on the softail platform. It will be the low rider Nightster with blacked out wheels and gloss black engine casings. Perhaps even a new fairing.

I like the bike... I agree with you on the keys and lights... I’m not a fan of the white saddle bags.. I think they should be two tone same as the bike.. love the white wall tires and the white seat.
Sat on one at my local dealer and I loved the feel it felt really upright and the balls of my feet touched so it is higher, my feet sit flat on my road glide ultra nice bike totally cop

Man , what a special machine indeed , most people haven't got a clue , and yes , this should have a special key fob , literature , advertising, and a DVD , kind of like back a long time ago, a customer would get a vhs tape , "WelcomeTo The Family" , I absolutely love that shit , I collect sales brochures , everything , so I have it all with my bikes . I love the Harley lifestyle, and what it means to me . No other company , or machine does it this way , at all . Awesome , and thank you , and the dealership , not to mention , a hopefully proud owner of such a machine. Thanks .
Yeah well.....it's the first Icon out the gate. Maybe they'll come out with a nicer key fob in an Icon CVO Release? Who knows!

Yeah it should have its own styled limited edition lights. Honestly I really only like the bag guards, gives me very small hope for fxr style oem bags for softails. Also, why aren't the CVO key fobs standard on all bikes? It's 2021
That's a good point. Harley is REALLY trying to keep costs down this year so I doubt we will see that for a while. Not that I agree with it, just seems like they wanna save anywhere they can.

I love it! I’m in Australia and I know the one at my local dealership sold theirs before it arrived (owner also has an original from 1969!). I believe only 30 made it to Australia.

I have three harleys from different ereas and was looking to buy a new one. Except, I dont like blacked out bikes and every time I went into my local dealership thats all they had on the floor even the colours on the webb sight are dull and uninteresting even the CVOs are dull. The revial on the other hand is what a harley should look like but I doubt if I will be able to get one probably sold out already. Love the review, I agree about the lights and key fob though exclusivity should come with something extra other than paint and a seat.
Excellent looking bike and definitely think it was the right move for Harley. Yes, I do agree with you a CVO style key fob is sharp and all they did was cheap ass barrel keys, no led lights, Hello 30K! I don't like the limited 1500, make a bike so everyone could have a chance to own it. So I will buy myself a used road king and customize it my way.
Should have a gloss inner fairing also , there’s a 5 to ten thousand dollar mark up at time of sale

If you do the software upgrade on the radio it will add Android Auto which is like Apple Car Play. Love it, works great.

It's definitely an Electra Glide Standard with a few bells and whistles. The paint scheme is on point with the old school vibe, which I really like, and this is going to be a highly sought after model. I agree that Harley could have did quite a few more things to make this model just a little bit more "special" for the buyers that are going to shell out $30K or more depending on the dealer premiums that will be added. With all that being said, If given the opportunity, I would buy one for sure. Can't wait for more models to hit the dealerships!
I think they could've done a better job of making the rear end looking a little better. Also where is the Buddy seat???
That's what I was wondering. They should have made that retro seat into a true buddy seat. It's like a buddy seat shape but it's solo seat size. I love my buddy seat on my pan!!
@@chadhamann8315 facts! Also speedometer on top of the gas tank would've been a nice touch. This entire bike was done half hearted in my opinion.

I agree. Harley lately misses the mark with little details like that. It is a beautiful bike anyway. It is only missing a fish-tail exhaust to go all the way. I'm hoping the next Revival is the FXRT...Great video!
Yeah I think they could have done just a few little things that makes you feel like it's something EXTRA rare. I think they did this one for the older demographic, a FXRT would definitely be good call to give the younger people something. I guess price would be an issue there though?
They have to leave room for you to put your own touch to it. This a perfect bike except the effing PRICE! Next should be FXRT with full farings

Can't argue it's a beautiful looking bike. So if this an example of how high quality and classic a design Harley is capable of producing, why only make 1500? Let's say if Harley's profit for each of those revival bikes is much more because of the higher MSRP, why not make this a continuous production model and get more sales?
Nice bike, however I don't like the color mix. To me it looks like a junkyard special. Just my thought. If the bags were blue, or if there was more white, it may have changed my thoughts. It is cool to see a numbered bike like this.

Regarding height, does it have the shorter shocks like the street glide or longer shocks like the Ultra?
Shorter shocks like the street Glide. You can tell by the advertised lean angle of 32 and 31 vs 32 and 32 of Ultra's and police bikes.
Waiting for a springer. And yeah they like to cheap out on certain things about there bikes and charge outrageous prices
the springer front might be too complicated to reproduce cheaply, unless they have some stock leftover somewhere. that was my first thought to when this retro thing popped up. "oh boy springer!" but it's a long shot, since they killed it for being too complicated for a small (but rabid) fan base
#1 THE BADGE IS NOT CROOKED! The badge is horizontal while the paint line slopes downward. No, the lines don't match up. It was obviously a conscious decision on their part.
#2 Home run for Harley! Too bad they're only making 1500 of them. It's the first Harley bagger I would actually buy. Think they'll do a version of original, first-year Super Glide next?
I agree with your opinions. It’s a nice bike but could have made it more special. Not even a painted inner fairing. Too high in price of course!

Edit: after watching the full video and seeing the seat and and the rest of the bike a little better it’s definitely not for me as my wife rides with me every chance we get. It’s definitely a really cool looking bike, but definitely not viable for me.
Agreed! If you're doing 2 up riding this isn't the bike for you. Changing the seat would definitely change things. I LOVE a Road King Special!
Great Review Bro. I don’t think it’s all that if they were going to do a limited bike it should have had more custom features you can make an Electra glide standard look just like that for half the price. Don’t see just because it’s numbered what they did so great. The paint scheme is great but not something that can’t be done on your own. Great sales concept but not really impressed

I just put a deposit on one I live in Central California I will be riding mine most definitely but I will not be doing anything to it I don’t want to devaluate the bike by doing something to it. I usually ride with boots I went to the dealership and sat on the bike , I am 5 9,I wear boots when I ride and my feet were flat footed sitting on the bike I will let you know how it goes once I get it

Great bike, first off I thought it was really great, but after the novelty wore off, it's just a blue and white Streetglide with a butt ugly too tall seat. Way over priced. I totally agree about the key fob. And it's time to ditch the aluminum fork lowers and incandescent bulbs.
I wonder if anyone will build a replica? Like you said, wouldn't be too hard IF you can order that seat. I know some things like CVO specific parts require a VIN number.
The seat looks good, suits a retro bike but the way it mounts looks terrible, could have made it alot tidier under the seat.
$30k and only 150 are being produced. What's even the point? You will never, ever see one of these on the street. Far as I can tell, it's a blue and white street glide with a tractor seat, and the 114 found in all the bikes. It didn't even get a bump to the 117 or 131. Sure it's beautiful, but am I missing something here?

Agree with the LED headlamps and the cheap keys vs. what a limited edition should have. The comment of people buying with hope of a financial gain in upcoming years is truly a joke. All H-D dealerships will always down talk a used bike regardless of original cost or limited availability. And don’t get me started with the dealerships killing off of resale for those that actually put miles on a motorcycle. Just so sad.

It’s funny how Harley Davidson is doing this now Indian does this every day sinse being revamped again look at the Indian vintage fenders Indian light up front big leather bags with fringe and leather seat to match I think Indian hit it more inline with the original Harley just added a big buddy seat special color and done good luck to those who spent big bucks for one of these

It should have a 1200 engine and the fairing should have nothing in it... it’s not really retro.. and the price is stupidly high for it.. I don’t see these worth anything .. but I love the nostalgic attempt.. this is essentially a police bike tho as even the bags are the current saddle bags only painted white.. way overpriced in my view.. good heavens Harley .. cmon....

This is great for a doctor dentist or a lawyer.The reason there's only 1500 bikes made Is probably because they're looking at bankruptcy. I own a 69FL pan shovel, It's a better bike than this and it's worth just as much.
The guy that bought this one has multiple bikes. I feel like anyone that buys this will be a real HD enthusiast. Let's be honest its 30k when you could get a FLHX or FLHXS for less with "more features. Would love to see your 69 and would much rather own that than the Revival. haha

if you can get the seat, seat rail, bag guards, highway bars, light bar, and all other details, then add the PAINT, for $2100 dollars (the difference over a standard SGS), you sir are a genius and I want you to do all my shopping for me.
