I've been using isol8 for years... I have it up and use it constantly for the dim feature, to monitor the sides, and to check the lows and low-mids (club test) or just the mids (ns-10 hack). Best free plugin outside of vital.
Been using ISOL8 for a few years now. It's also great when using alongside an oscilloscope and other visual meters for finding phasing issues (especially with bass music) and other problematic instances. 👍🏻🥃
Now I know how they did those special freq cutoffs during the 90's on alternative music, since during those days they didn't have plugins they more or less clicked freq bands on the mixing console, and recorded that into the tape.
There are really some unique free plugins that aren‘t available in this form for purchase at the big plugin stores. So it would be nice to see more of those unique stuff and perhaps alternatives to those expensive high end plugins like i.e. the Luftikus.
@@LanewoodStudios Mostly so I can easily find and then convert mono recording that are in stereo to mono to save on CPU when using plugins. I often get work from producers that don't know what they are doing when rendering stems for mixing.

Excellent. I love how you present your video - by combining actual audio examples with the plugin features. Cheers. 🤩
Thanks!
Tolle neue Serie. Ich freue mich schon auf weitere Videos ❤
Thanks 👍👍
GREAT new series.
Thank you!
Glad you like it 👍
Great plugin, I use it as a NS10 hack for checking the mids on my mixes :)
Yeah that’s what I sort of show in the video as well. I just hear it as an auratones hack 😉.
I didn’t want to download more free plugins, but this one seems to be a very useful one.
Yes I know, more plugins ...... 😉
Hehehe...same here 😁

To bad it can't phase invert the left or right channel.
To check for phase problems? Yes that could be useful.
@@LanewoodStudios To check for mono recordings in a stereo file, aka flip phase on either left or right to check for silence.
Ah yes mono compatibility of course 👍.
