People dont recognize it (SC over PSU) as a shocking upset as much as they should because they just think its one blue blood of college football beating another. But in reality that was one of the worst SC teams EVER beating one of the best - maybe top10 or 15 - PSU teams ever. I'm glad at least someone else recalls just how shocking it was today in 2022.

In 1991, it was UW and UM as their own class, then the rest after them. PSU had a legit claim to being the 3rd best team that year though.
Absolutely. Washington and Miami were in their own zip codes. Outside of them, PSU was likely the best.

@@rawn4203 I forgot how bad SC was that year. And they weren't far out from the Rodney Peete era, they were a good team just a couple years prior.
