Superb cars and drivers having fun... NSX was a car far ahead of it's time when it came out. Don't be fooled, Supra and GTO are very powerful and fast cars too, high speed GT cruisers...but they are pretty heavy too, and not so good on short circuit like this. It's hard to not feel respect for Impreza WRX and old Lancer EVO, so balanced, 4WD, great handling, real JDM racing heritage there...hard to beat!

A couple takeaways from this video. Number one is that its sad that Mitsubishi used to build such bad ass cars a now they can barely sell an air filter in the US, because that GTO was throwing down. Number two is that if it wasn't for the high tuning potential on the Supra and GTR they would have just been meh cause they were just dominated.
The R34 V spec kinda returned to the dominant status held by the 32 on debut, the Mk4 on the other hand, is down basically to its bulletproof 2JZ. Stock Mk4 was actually meh next to the NSX, GTR and Evo. And I wholly feel the part about Mitsu, being a lifelong fan of their cars, it's painful to see their current state.

4 years later i have to disagree. RZ34, R35, NSX, BRZ, WRX, Supra, Q60, RC-F, the list goes on. Theres many new comers to be appreciated in modern era and they are being overlooked now, but will be sadly missed 5-10 years from now. Of course, the sentiment follows, 90s japanese sports cars are really really awesome 🖤

The result may be what this gentleman says at the end, in the competition they grow, if there is no competition, there is no push to be better. I adore the golden era of japan sports cars. But our time is dominated by european brands.
Even if the RX-7 RZ is agile, the rotary engine is very fragile, there are oil overheating problems just like the R32 and also it has an ABS problem which is not efficient at all ( This is the very unpleasant noise you hear when the camera is inside the RX-7 and the driver brakes to take a turn). Even after a significant improvement from the 98-99 models the car is still fragile but very fun to drive.
as they said so many times... the NSX with track sized rear tires is a beast ;) they also mentioned the truth about rivalry... a friendly one always improves things ^^
RX-7 is my favourite car here but I have only driven Supra. They say RX7 overheats like the GT-R and their feeling from the rotary engine is not favourable either. They count real-world attributes into the score too, like affordability, comfort, practicality and fun.
@@timeluster This RX-7 is not yet the best version mazda produced. Only 255hp, the later new versions and variants will get 280 hp, better châssis setups, etc ...

hafiz Dean not really , nsx has people on straits with all its top end power , I think if the Impreza had a better set of tires , probably wouldn’t have a problem beating most cars on a track or touge
Considering that the NSX R is so much more expensive than the other cars in this race, it's performance is not even that impressive. It would be really embarrassing for Honda if the NSX R didn't win the race.
fast in tsukuba or other short track, but in longer track like motegi? not so. But yes, NSX had the advantage of lower aerodynamic, balance, and ligher weight, especially this is the R spec

新型登場後の広報車はほとんど速いタイム出してる。メーカーも売れないと困るし、それだけ当時の車雑誌やベスモの影響力は強かったんだろうな。

生まれる前だけどこの頃はまさにスポーツカーの黄金時代だっただろうな〜
今は作っても安全性・排ガス対策などで厳しくはなったし、チューニングの幅も減って面白みが減ったよな〜
ATも進化していて走りは良くなってるし、そこそこ楽しめるからATはダサいとは思わないけど、乗ってみて楽しさはMTには敵わないのは事実だった。
