@@Mumsiken MPTH is just overrated to tell you the truth and we've had the same kind of drama's before plus its not something new. Alif on the other hand is just amazing even the pace of the drama is needed for the story to develop.

I have to say this - I just love Amna. Such a sensitive, caring, thoughtful person. Her comments are so insightful. Plus she has such a great sense of humor with an eye for the absurd and the ridiculous ( Thora Sa Haq anyone?). I really enjoy listening to her and the interaction between her and Hassan is so entertaining.

The two dramas ‘Ishq Zahe Naseeb’ and ‘Meray Pass Tum Ho’ have totally lost their charm. I didn’t like the previous couple of episodes and I’ve totally lost interest in their plot 🙄
Ishq Zahe Naseeb started off so well but it’s completely lost its charm. It’s all over the place now. Majorly disappointed! However, only watching these dramas for your reviews guys.. I think they need to end them asap. Great review as always!

Highlight is Mehwish is still running behind a rich man...Danish....if he was poor or middle class like before, she would have never chased him.

They made a mistake in the story. The downfall of Shahwar and Mehwish should have taken a little longer. Probably a cpl more episodes. We really couldnt enjoy their downfall. Maham entered too early. On the other hand now it is being dragged. They could have reduced this part by two episodes. Too much repetition.

I feel like we aren’t seeing Mehvish or Shehwaar’s karma enough. Mehvish seems fine and seems to have been left with lots of money etc. Even Shehwaar seems fine. I dunno, for the kind of sin they have committed, I would expect far worse to happen to them.

A few points about Mere Paas:
A. If anyone has met or been around a child like Rumi, speak up now or forever hold your peace. He talks like a fifty year old masquerading as a child’s body. Now he is pontificating about undeclared love and actively managing the relationship between two remarkably obtuse adults, namely the father and the teacher. It is like having Freud in the guise of a child interpreting your subconscious thought, words and actions for you. Can we be more unreal?
B. The philosopher sisters are super annoying. They keep having the same conversation over and over again - do you love him, don’t you love him, does he love you, doesn’t he love you, he loves me, he loves me not..the director and writer should have mercy on us and put an end to this interminable discussion.
C. How do these two young women live entirely alone, without any guardian or chaperone in a city like Karachi? It would have been better for the play, if instead of the sister they had a Khala or Phuppho type person. She would not only have sounded more convincing talking about the need of the teacher to get married etc but it would have looked more realistic in the context of our daily lives.
D. The wife is also extremely strange. It is difficult to understand her motivations. Why did she give such a large sum of money to Ayeza Khan? Why did she give her cheating husband a get out of jail free card? So he won’t be persecuted for forgery and embezzlement now? It is done with and forgotten at her whim? A reality check for the writer and director. A publicly traded company, like this one is, is answerable to a board of directors and shareholders. You can’t just say never mind and write off white collar crimes of this nature. And he is being let back into the same company after committing fraud as its chairman? And everyone will roll over and agree to this? Why is she risking her money, her company yet again by letting him back in on the premises? The whole scene was illogical.
Amna, the security guard at the old flat and Dewan Sahib have already made deep, philosophical statements. Now all we need is the driver, the cook and the school chowkidar to form a panel and discuss the vagaries of life. Everyone else is doing so already.
The good thing is that I still can’t make out if the ex husband will allow Ayeza Khan back into his life. And I am still interested enough to want to know. That speaks to the skill of the writer and director.
I have said this innumerable times, but it bears repeating - you two are the best. Keep up the good work.

The story of meray pass tum him is “inspired” by a story that was published in khawateen digest in the 90s by author maha malik called meray khwab reza reza...beautiful and money-hungry woman married to a devoted husband who she leaves for a rich man, pretty much in the same manner...ending is different though...

I feel the same like hassan my dil also dhoob sa gaya hai knowing Saad will eventually die even though we knew this is coming but still now as we're attached to a character its just sad so now i hope it doesn't happen and then what about dua if he dies?
MS K but thats the sad reality of life, we will be mourning for Saad and for all of those brave young lives who all sacrificed for Pakistan just like Saad. I know this will happen but it will be sad 😭

It looks like they tried to re-shoot stuffs to what they thought the public will like.. and is not the original line of thoughts or story anymore..going no where with the story now.. hoping the last two episodes will do some justice. 🤞🏼

For me, mere pass tum ho fall flat in the ending! I couldn't enjoy even a single episode since maham's entry, story is going somewhere else, there was no downfall in shehwar's nd mehwish characters, they didn't face much, everything - guilt nd all came in one single episode. Last few episodes don't make sense either! Plus miss hanya's character is so stupid nd has no importance in story line
In the beginning they said Hania has a small appearance the director himself said this how has this small appearance turned into a nonsensical never ending annoying presence in the drama. I just forward all her scenes only coz they r unnecessary.

Love this channel, look forward to your reviews more than the actual drama itself. Just want to add a few things about Meray Pass Tum ho.
Firstly, why is there no consistency regarding the timeline of events? The time Shehwar and Mehwish were together changes with each episode, from 5 months to 1 month, it doesn’t make sense???
Secondly, the only character I sympathise with is Rumi. Poor kid is completely neglected by both parents. He is always home alone, has no friends except for his teacher (which btw is a very weird relationship in itself). Everytime he comes to spend time with his dad we see that he leaves the conversation, the mother is constantly unloading her emotional baggage on him like he’s her therapist, yet this kid continues to raise both his parents like its no big deal. Which 7 year old kid has this much freedom to do whatever he pleases? Why is no one responsible for him?
Finally, it was CLEARLY mentioned that Danish and Mehwish had been completely divorced, as she was going to marry Shehwar and it’s not possible for her to do that had she not been completely divorced from her first husband. Interested to see how all this will pan out and how the ‘writers’ will end this show.

Alif is possibly a lot better than MPTH, I don't know why people are calling it slow. It has brilliant performances, great story and a beautiful message. It's been over shadowed by MPTH, Sajal Ali is sheer bliss to watch. Her depression is so palpable. And her parents are thankless.
Rumi has disheveled hair since the first episode and looks untidy.

Great review as usual. I am just watching Alif and Ehdewafa. Dont have the patience for other two, especially MPTH. Its overhyped and too problematic. Just following it through your reviews. If Roomi is saying all this, then he needs help. A 5-6 year old child can't be saying all this. It is just so WRONG.
Alif, Ehdewafa and Yeh Dil Mera are such progressive stories and a need of time. I hope we see more shows like this in coming year.
For Ehdewafa, I can totally relate to Hassan about Saad. I am also all sad for him. The new ost is just through his eyes and he is definitely the lead of the drama. Too attached to him and his story. His Shahadat will bring alot of heartbreak and tears
When you guys were doing 2019 review, I thought playing Saad is simpler than Amaanullah. But after yesterday's episode and new ost I am in awe of Ahad Raza Mir's transformation. He has totally jelled into the character as if he has actually spent 2years in PMA. His way of walking, talking, his gestures, all has changed. And that deserves all the appreciation and also awards.
As for Alif, what Momina's parents are doing is very normal for people who have lived their whole life in one place. I have seen older parents even complain about coming to Canada coz unko apna ilaqa nahi mil raha. It's like unko jarro se nikal diya. Same is happening with them.
The only off thing about this episode of Alif was Momina getting an award and Humayun Saeed receiving it. I first thought he went to receive Oscar for her. 😬
Khair I am happy MPTH is ending soon. And Alif will finally get the much deserved appreciation.

1 more point which has always been overlooked by dramas in terms of Halala is that Halala ki neeat sey 2nd nikkah kerna buht bara gunnah hy .A woman can remarry first husband after getting divorce from second but intentionally marrying someone and getting divorce as preplanned is Gunah e Kabeera .Kaash is point ko bhi koi drama highlight kerty.
I guess amna is right about the Maham-Shehwar sequence being added later. Adnan shared a new year video on Instagram whereas the shooting has ended a while ago.

I don’t think mere paas tum ho was little out of place , it was completely out of place!!From maham giving money to Mahwish, Mahwish buying the old flat , rumi being the dada Abbu n proposing haniya to haniya & her sisters annoying conversations , everything is simply ridiculous.
Drama started of slow but picked pace in a couple of episodes n thn was very entertaining.
Since last two episodes, nothing is making sense . I think they thought that people are loving rumis character so they added his dada Abu kinda stupid scenes. Director , writer and actor seem clueless how to end the mess they made to an amazing serial now.
And e Wafa: How easy it is to show a woman who is wise, has ability to think right for herself and not scared to be independent. Others writers should learn from this.
I hope Dua will do more of these types of characters rather than the one she is playing in Tu jo chahay 🙏🙏
I regularly watch your review. There are many good things but ONE MOST IMPORTANT thing i want to highlight and appreciate is the way you both talk. You have such a calm, polite, respectful manner of discussing things. It reminds me the golden era of PTV seasoned hosts like Mustansar saab, Tuseeq Haider, Moin Akhtar and many more.
