My Autistic 12 year old has been locked up in a PICU for nearly a year. They have him on different medications and regularly have to restrain him and put him in an isolation room because of his heightened behaviour. He has past trauma from being separated from me and passed around 8 different unsuitable placements one of which he was abused in by untrained agency staff workers who he has now sadly developed attitudes towards which are deemed offensive. He is punished for verbal abuse in the PICU and threatened with police. He is over stimulated and distressed on a daily basis and the Local Authority continue to drag their heels and tell me they can't find a placement elsewhere for him. This whole ordeal has been going on for three years and has traumatised me and my son beyond belief. He's now about to have his 13th birthday locked up in a PICU and followed around all day by agency staff, when he should be at home celebrating surrounded by his loved ones. There is still no end in sight to this nightmare. I desperately want my son home with support in place, this is also my son's biggest wish in the world. I will continue to dedicate every day of my life to fighting for my son's quality of life, but I feel like I am up against a broken system and authorities who makes it impossible. I feel like these people simply do not care, and continue to gloss over the main issues and simple solutions time and time again. I am heartbroken and at my wit's end.

Was a very moving and enraging documentary that Richard made. It made me care and I still want to know how the young woman is now.

Our daughter is imprisoned by Luton Borough Council at Bladon House School. We live in Ireland and they have spent over £1 millon on the placement. She desperately wants to come home and she remains imprisoned. She is currently aged 14 and will be 15 in June. There is absolutely not plans for her future.
