- I had a crazy idea to try soft pastel painting on wood. Over the past few weeks I've been working out the kinks, so here's what I've learnt so far.
If you have ever used soft pastel on wood, let me know how it went! (:

Very pretty. Drill a partial hole in the back. Not one that goes all the way through . Another idea is picture of both sides and drill a hole all the way through string a rope to hang from porch roof or in the window so picture on one side looks out and the other can be seen from with in. Thank you for your time in doing this tutorial and sharing the varnish idea. Jill.C Huachuca Arizona ❤😊
Great idea thank you! I ended up attaching d rings to each sife and twine so it can hang it worked really well ☺️
Thank you for sharing 😊
Thanks for watching!
Very nice, i want to teach like you 😊👍
Beautiful!! I would put a hook behind it to hang it on the wall it would be more adherent and stable :) hello from Friuli north east Italy
Thanks so much for the suggestion ☺️☺️
I have 2 suggestions that have worked for me!
1. Sawtooth hooks. I bought a set on amazon and it came with the little screws. The only complaint with this is IF the wood piece is or will be prone to cracking it might but out of all the pieces i have installed these hooks to only a small fraction had that issue and it was minor, it didn’t ruin anything.
2. Velcro command strips, particularly the medium or large ones. I have had great results using these for both heavy canvases and cradle boards. The cons to using those with cost, availability aside, you are relying on a product that does have glue. Some batches are stronger than others. If a client lives in a humid environment that can affect the stickiness and you have to rely on the wiping the wall before installation.
Anyways, hope this helps. I’d say go the sawtooth hook route between the two.
Enjoying your videos, looking forward to the next 😊
Oh amazing! Thank you so much for the suggestions. I didn't even think about sawtooth hooks, and after a little Google they are are exactly what I thought haha! I'll see how I get one, and will no doubt do an updated video in the process soon ☺️
Thanks so much!!
@@akashameadart You’re so welcome! 🤗
If you think this piece felt child like, i think thats a great thing. Plus, children love and appreciate art more than most adults so you have an audience. Either way it looks fantastic.
Aw thank you very much! It's funny to think how much my art has grown even this this painting!
@akashameadart it's cool to see the progress in one's art. Hard work and practice really shows.
Pardon me i rushed to ask.. awesome job lady!!!🎉🎉
