Ride the airwaves in style (and in tune!) with this tremendous 12-string! Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more sweet guitars like the Reverend Airwave 12-string!
Received mine about a month ago - thank you Sweetwater! I couldn't be happier with it. Great tone, very playable. Add a compressor and a Fender Deluxe Reverb, and I've got all the 12-string jangle that this old Byrds fan could hope for!
I've had a bod-i-lacious green sparkle Airwave 12-string for over a year now and it sounds excellent and is fun and easy to play. If you want classic Beatles, Byrds and Tom Petty / Mike Campbell tones and something for more modern 12-string applications as well - this is "definitely your bag, baby" - can't recommend this Reverend 12-string enough. It also intonates far better than older Rickenbacker etc options and also costs far less. I like playing it through a Vox / EL84 amp or some other amp with nice clean chimey tones.
I have an Airwave 12-String (Think I bought it around 2017-18) and can attest to what a wonderful guitar it is. Don't waste your money on a high-end Rickenbacker unless you are a diehard fan. The Airwave will do it all, not break the bank, play smooth as silk, and stay in tune! Also, don't waste you money on cheap electric 12-Strings guitars (ala Dean). They won't stay in tune will sound like crap, and be a bear to play. Get the Reverend, its a workhorse!

I'm very happy that you guys now sell Reverend guitars, it is awesome.
I can see where this is heading… I’m going to have a Reverend collection because they hit it outtta the park with every guitar.

Great video and a beautiful guitar! Thanks
AMAZING!!!!!!!! One of the best sounding 12 strings I have heard compared to the Dano electric... I like warm sounding guitars!
I have one and I love it
Rickenbacker, baby! The only game in town. Not perfect, but the sound is to die for.

Has my interest but this thing sounds terribly muffled, hopefully it's just the amp settings
I was thinking the same thing. It doesn't sound bright and chimey at all like he keeps saying it does.
@@Wharbaby exactly! I really want a solid electric 12 string so I really wanna like this thing but that sparkly chime just isn't there in this video
@@ShiroiTengu Don't always base things off a video. Try one out in person.
@@ShiroiTengu Buy a Rickenbacker. It is exactly what you want.
The Rev or the Gretsch Electromatic G5422G-12 ?
How hard would it be to flip the courses so it's strung Rick-style? Could that be a viable factory option?
Where's the chime?
He probably should have done at least some of the demo with a pick.
Ken fumbled hard on his demo by playing without a pick. It made the guitar sound way more dull than it is.
It's an extremely poor demo. It's a great sounding 12 string, but you'd never know it from this.
I want one!
I now know how Andy from Reverb will look in 30 years.
I like it!
I want one
The cost though
Stop making me want more guitars!
Are the octave strings top loaded or string through?
top loaded

I hear nothing approaching jangle or chime.
he is playing with his fingers which will dull the sound a bit.
I’ll say it again.
I want that body shape and everything but with 6 stings.
Buy their Airsonic W.
Shoot I have a nought trouble with 6 strings I’d hate to add 6 more problems to the mix. Cool guitar though
👍
I hear the guitar de-tuning as he moves it. That's a bit worrisome.
Sounds like a guitar with a permanent chorus effect, not like it has 12 strings
You talk about tuning but either it is OUT of tune or is out of intonation.....
Just heard the news. This is sad day. You go from answering to your customer to answering to investors.
Investors? What? Ken still owns Reverend. Sweetwater is a guitar store, not an "investor" and it's still owned by the guy who started it.
@@gabrielobrien21 he was referring to Sweetwater being bought by a holdings company
