In Los Angeles, many years ago, I visited a Sikh temple and my friend told me that if we were hungry we were able to eat there for free. Such a nice gesture! It was the first time that I heard about the Sikhs, and since then I admire this faith.
excellent videos with lots of good information. I saw a group of sikhs all in purple, with large swords, walking along the ganges river in India once. I never knew why they were in purple until now. they were the "beloved ones"
Brilliant video, especially at a time where ignorant folk are slandering this great path A humble correction: Sikhi does actually believe in heaven and hell also (as per Guru Granth Sahib Ji) but they are temporary places not eternal like how Abrahamical faiths preach, the soul then undergoes rebirth according to it's karma, for a Sikh the material heavens and hells bare little significance as the Guru has set our aim as eternal union with the beloved which is beyond the material creation and realms.

I think saying all suffering is simply ‘ego’ is such a useless nothing of a statement. All bliss is also ego if all suffering is ego. All suffering is not ego and all bliss is not cessation of ego. Clearly all good comes from ego as life itself would be impossible without one. Competition to be the first to achieve enlightenment or spiritual awareness even largely creating all religions. In that sense suffering must be good on some level.

Sikhs are great, but most temples of any faith would do the same. It’s called hospitality, a basic virtue in all human cultures.
Ill admit, I dont know a whole lot about details of religion, but the few practisers I have met, are the nicest people you will ever meet.
