No, Bahais place Baha'u'llah in a series of God-sent messengers, which includes Moses, Christ, and Muhammad. It is an Abrahamic religion with a prophet-founder, like Judaism, Christiantity and Islam. Bahais *also* believe that the present time --- say from 1844 or from 1863 -- is the "day of God" that the religions have foretold. It's the day when world unity and world peace are possible. Because Baha'u'llah's era is the "day of God," he is the pivot where human history makes a turn. But at the same time, he is one more in the long series of prophets and messengers and sages and visionaries who have guided human souls and societies.

@@senmcglinn Thank you very much for your reply but may I ask you why he cancelled the Sharia of Quran? any logic? Secondly, there is another prophet called Mirza Ghulam Ahmad in India. What do you guys believe about him? was he a prophet or not? If no, then , why?

    • @senmcglinn

@@AHumanVoice123 : "the Shariah" does not exist as such, it is an ongoing process of rational discussion about the applicability and application of the standards of the Quran and hadith and sunna to society. As society changes, the shariah changes, just as a road passing through the mountains is not the same as the road through a marshland. The tashri` - the making of shariah - is a necessary and good process in itself, but it is constrained by its sources. As centuries pass, it becomes more and more necessary to begin again, with a new revelation of the will of God for humanity. That revelation is Baha'u'llah, who shows us the will of God today. Based on that revelation, tashri` begins anew, within new constraints. God says to Baha'u'llah : "O Inmost Heart of this Temple! We have made thee the dawning-place of Our knowledge and the dayspring of Our wisdom unto all who are in heaven and on earth. From thee have We caused all sciences ('ulum, such as fiqh, shariah, kalimat) to appear, and unto thee shall We cause them to return. And from thee shall We bring them forth a second time." (Baha'u'llah, in The Summons of the Lord of Hosts, p. 35). Good question about Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, but I know little and I do not have a clear picture, from what I do know, of whether he was reviving Islam or acting like a Revelation founding a new religion.

Dear Quo Vadis, Thankyou for this wonderfully lucid video. Well done. However, it isn't perfect. Could you kindly blur out the pictures of the Báb and Bahá'u'lláh as requested by the Universal House of Justice who deem it disrespectful, owing to the sacredness of these images. Bahá'ís do get to see the originals when on pilgrimage to Haifa. Just as visitors to Holy sites are requested to dress with moderation so too Bahá'ís are expected to not display publicly pictures of the Twin Manifestations. I would happily show this video to anyone if you would just do this one thing. Thank you in anticipation.

Their bloodline is also connected to the Shroud of Turin. I wonder if they are the one true church that the bible talks about. 🤔

What is Hinduism? +++++++++++++++ I have long pondered on what constitutes this so called religion that sweepingly generalises the 'Indian' people and sitting on their head (as cultural hegemony) and have come up with some conclusions .... The priest from the Zoroastrian religion( known as Aryans) came to india with their Avestan language and fire rituals and later created some slogans in old Sanskrit to form the Oral Vedas which was never in written form until after the 5th century AD. These priest learnt the principles of the Samana tradition( the source of Jainism and Buddhism) that originated in the Indus Valley Civilization and is found in southern part of the sub continent namely in the Tamizh tradition and started incorporating it into their already existent vaiteegam(burning) rituals and produced the Upanishads(philosophical treatise) and became vegetarians. For a solid philosophical footing which they needed in a highly philosophized Tamizh (Samana Palli language) infused land about the 8th century Adi Sankara came up with Advaita logic that distorted the original Buddhist(Sunya-Void) thoughts and produced a dichotomical nonsense which did not last the test of time. Later they took up the Tantric Samana Tamizh tradition and put forth the bakti methodology (blind surrender). This they took also from the Christian tradition and desperately created for the Islamic onslaught. Bakti was based on erotism and appealed to the masses(like cinemas). The high Samana tantric philosophical basis was ruined for the newly conjectured 'Hindu' religion of the wretched puranic tales(porn stories). This is the history of the Priestly class(Brahmins) that still retain their priesthood in the agamic temples(lifeless stone worship) that held sway through the bakti movement from the 10th century onwards. The consecutive non-Tamizh rulers(Vaduga Telugus) firmly rooted the new found 'Hindu' religion with its caste system( twisted from the Samana four occupational make-up of society aka Farmers, Merchants, Rulers, Philosophers)with the insidious brahmin agenda segregation which the colonial British gave the general name and sealing the new found religion with their law....

Also, yes, our religion is so secretive that even I as a non-practicing druze cannot learn about it so I turn to youtube to learn. However I must correct you, the druze do not like Israel, that's just Israeli propaganda that only applies to palestinian Druze. Syrian Druze, Lebanese Druze, Jordanian Druze, etc, we stand with palestine today like we did on 1948 and we support decolonialism. In fact, we started decolonial Levantine movements against the French and British mandates in 1925 with the great Syrian revolt that lead to the independance of Lebanon and the independance and unity of Syria in 1932.

Preceded them? Claim is false. "First, it’s important to get our bearings re: biblical chronology. The Babylonian Captivity began in 587/586 BC, when the Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed, and lasted for 70 years. The implicit claim is that the Jews were influenced by the Babylonians, Persians who would’ve been Zoroastrians, then a relatively newly minted religious people. However, “the vast stretch of Jewish and Christian tradition credits” the Pentateuch (the first five books of the Bible, include Genesis) to Mosaic authorship and being written during the lifetime of the patriarch, according to The Ignatius Catholic Study Bible-Genesis. That would mean “either the 1400s 1200s B.C.” (p. 7). In contrast, modern scholars put the beginning of the composition at about 900 B.C. and a finish date of about 400 B.C. Yet even “most who adopt this view acknowledge that the stories in Genesis are often much older than their written form, and some would allow that certain parts of its contents may indeed be Mosaic in origin.” Indeed, “Studies of the Book of Genesis within its Near Eastern context tend to confirm both the antiquity and the authenticity of its traditions” (Ibid.). So, at the outset, we can see that there’s solid evidence for the taking place of major biblical events long before the Babylonian Captivity began, and that would include the Virgin Birth (Isa. 7:14). In addition it’s true that, according to Zoroastrianism, the birth of Zoroaster or Zarathustra was foretold long in advance. And a later tradition has him born of a virgin. And that he overcame all evil opposition. These similarities with Christianity do not mean that Jewish Old Covenant prophecy and Christian New Covenant fulfillment borrowed from Zoroastrian. That would erroneously imply that they were manufactured stories, myths, instead of presenting actual God-ordained realities. In summary, “the magi [or wise men] from the East who came in search of the newborn King of the Jews were priest practitioners of Zoroastrianism or something like it. So its teachings did dispose them to be open to the Good News of the birth of the Savior God of the Most Pure Virgin,” as my colleague Father Hugh Barbour, OP, says (see Matthew 2). But that doesn’t mean that the Israelites or subsequently their spiritual descendants-Christians-borrowed from Zoroastrianism".
