I want to thank you so much for this video! This has helped me so much, I’m strongly considering opening up my own store. I work a 9-5 and just want more for myself. God bless you🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️
That is awesome! I am with you. I looked at doing a UPS franchise and got pretty seep into the process with the UPS rep, but there is so much more hidden money given to UPS it is far too expensive for the average person looking to invest in their own business. I am hoping to have a few franchises of my store in the future if the first store does well. If you ever need any information or help with anything regarding your store plan, please feel free to reach out to me at postalprospackandship@gmail.com. I can try and help with the real data I have from my plans so far. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for sharing the video. I am planning to do something similar down the line in 6 to 8 months. Your video was a quick run down of everything. Appreciate it
Don't think I've ever been a 1st to comment or rate a video on TH-cam EVER! Exactly the content I was looking for. Looking forward to additional videos from you.
This was very helpful and informative!! Thank you so much. I'm aiming to open a shipping center this summer and will definitely keep watching your videos to help guide me.
I greatly appreciate the information you provided. May I know what terms you got on your lease? I’m planning to open the same business in CA but not a pro in lease negotiations. Your input is highly appreciated! Thank you 🙏
I’m sure I don’t have much to add onto the other comments, but I still want drop a comment thanking you sharing this info for free, as most would try to charge off this information. I’m sure you’re video will gain lots of traction in the future as you’re one of the only ones specific to this niche. Goodest of luck!
Hey Mason this was a great video. I really appreciate the time you spent sharing your journey. I see you have others and will watch them too. I hope the store is going well (maybe I will learn updates in more recent videos). I was curious about your startup costs in particular I did not see any costs for printing and copying equipment or legal fees. Do you have a final actual total startup cost to share? Again, thank you for a very informative, interesting and detailed video. Good luck!
Very useful information... I am also checking if I can start a pack and ship business. I am still trying to find a good spot to start creating the accounts with the carriers
You can check with RS Associates - they have a Package Hub programs that gets you an automatic approval with each carrier (UPS, FedEx & DHL). You can also apply independently through each carrier but it can be a tough process (UPS denied me three times before finally approving me to be an ASO). I used Package Hub as a 'last resort' option but ended up not need them (thankfully). Hope this helps.
Thanks so much for this detailed video! I was under the impression that Amazon actually doesn’t pay the business monetarily, but by the foot traffic they generate? I know for the lockers at least, they do not pay.
Thank you for watching! And you are correct, Amazon does not pay for becoming a counter or having a locker, but do provide some compensation for doing Amazon returns if you can get the account. Really just the slight profit from the boxes you would supply.
@@theipasa23 I appreciate all the information you are providing to us! I actually found a promising location as well and you were so smart in calling FedEx to see if the location qualifies for their program before signing your lease. I just had one question. For the USPS form 1583, do customers have to fill it out and then get a response first, before their mail could actually start being delivered? Do you submit these forms at your local post office? Could you just shed a little light on that? Thank you again!
@@j0epark1 no problem! That is awesome you found a location as well, would love to keep in touch and hopefully we could help each other out along the way. My email is postalprospackandship@gmail.com For USPS form 1583, customers just fill it out and can rent a mailbox same day from you. The form is only to let USPS know the customer is allowing you to accept their mail. USPS also uses it to track mail so if there was something illegal happening they can trace it back to that customer. USPS provides and email to scan and send the filled out form to once complete.
Thank you!! I have been looking for a video like this. I could use the information about the fedex number for store restrictions that you mentioned! Any help is GREATLY appreciated!!!
Would you put in the comments the store that you bought all the operating equipment? The stuff that game in a bundle. I couldn't see it or tell who you said. Thank you.🎉
Did you acquire funding before talking to the landlord and signing the lease? Which bank did you use? I found the perfect location, just need to talk to a bank to get funding, i have a mid 700 credit score
I was fortunate enough to have saved up enough to be able to fund the entire buildout myself, but am in the process of securing an SBA loan to pay myself back. The SBA loan is nice but it is a long process to receive the funds considering it is through the government. A ton of banks offer SBA loans through their business services.
Question: Do I fill out the apps (FedEX, USPS & UPS) before or after I find my location? I found a location and spoke with the guh and he told me to sign the lease before applying to become an authorized shipper. But my fear is what if I do not get approved for any of them. Then ill be signed to a lease that's not needed.
I got the preliminary yes from the carriers before signing the lease which makes it where you can then apply. It’s territorial so have to make sure the location would be able to get the accounts before signing the lease
For the rental mailboxes you would use your own stores address and then add in the box number for each customer. When you order the mailboxes, they will ask how you want the boxes engraved numerically. Standard is to just start at #101 and go up
There is still great revenue in shipping. But the steady reoccurring revenue from mailboxes is what makes pack and ship stores so consistently profitable
you have to set up authorized accounts with each carrier, once approved, they will set up times to do their pick ups and drops on a daily basis with you
Thanks for the all the info very helpful. working on oping my first one now.. Central Florida hope all goes well... I contact you later at your email thanks Brother!!

Thank you for everything ! This was very helpful

Great video! Lot of valuable information. I'm not going the franchise route either. Still looking for a great location myself.
Did you use an agent to find your location?
Thank you! Franchising is crazy expensive. I’m hoping one day to franchise my store but at a much more affordable level.
I didn’t I luckily saw a “for lease sign” in the plaza as it is where I grocery shop.

Can you share the process of becoming an Amazon return facility ?
Thank you so much for NOT GATEKEEPING!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks for watching!
I was looking if you made a video of the permits and license needed to set-up. If you don’t, do you mind shedding some light on that?
It is difference in every state and city, so I never made a video on it. I’ll do one this week that is generic. Thanks!
What company were you referring to, to call for fedex accounts and the phone number?
All the support and blessings for the wisdom for your business.
Packagehub business centers
Would you put in the comments the store that you bought all the operating equipment? The stuff that game in a bundle. I couldn't see it or tell who you said. Thank you.🎉
I got it through tech shed but you can view all the times on my website www.theipasa.com
I'm taking in all this info
Awesome!
Great video! Thank you for all your insight! Could you please provide me with the number that you called for fedex’s shipping territory? Thanks.
Google “FedEx FASC” all the info and phone number are there
@@theipasa23 Thank You! Please keep these amazing videos coming!

I love you video...what is the name for fedex to see if they will open up an account for me in my area. I'm located in TX
Lookup FedEx FASC

When you mention “mark ups” what do you mean?
Every store makes provide by adding margins to or markups on the wholesale shipping rates from the carriers
How do you get the addresses for the mailboxes ?
County?
USPS?
For the rental mailboxes you would use your own stores address and then add in the box number for each customer. When you order the mailboxes, they will ask how you want the boxes engraved numerically. Standard is to just start at #101 and go up
Is there any contract you sign with the customers, any liability in using my address ?
Hi, Would you be willing to do a Zoom call for an hourly rate? I have some questions, and I think you would be able to help. Thanks!
Yes I would message me through my website at www.theipasa.com
It's not letting me. When I click on contact us it takes me to square space designed to sell.
So if mailbox rentals are the bread and butter, why do the shipping part?
There is still great revenue in shipping. But the steady reoccurring revenue from mailboxes is what makes pack and ship stores so consistently profitable
how exactly do you get a carrier partnership?
I have a few videos on each carrier. Check them out!
You signed a lease on June 31st? Hmm...You might wanna have an attorney verify that's a valid lease.
It’s a valid lease with a stock traded company and verified by a lawyer lol
what would you pay max per sqft for the lease ?
It’s highly dependent on the size and how good of a location it is
how long have you been planning/building?
I have been thinking about it for about 2 years now, but finally found the right location. Location is key for these kinds of stores!
Whats is their territorial radius in miles?
I think it’s dependent on the city population. I would guess around 3 miles on average.
@@theipasa23can you provide with the phone number please
You video was one the best I watch, this really helps! Can you assist me with setting up accounts for UPS, Fedex, DHL,etc
Thank you I appreciate it. If you send me an email to postalprospackandship@gmail.com I can help you out. Thanks!
Very good info
😎
How do we get the carriers to pick up and deliver to a new store ?
you have to set up authorized accounts with each carrier, once approved, they will set up times to do their pick ups and drops on a daily basis with you
