I got my heat press, llc, and even started a few designs I am just scared to launch my business. But after watching your video I feel more confident about starting my business.
I can’t thank you enough. I have watched A LOT of videos to help me get started with my business. You are the very first person to be honest and express how hard it really is to start and run a business. Thank you!
Such great info! I also started my business as handmade children’s clothing! Back in 2017. I created a second business making jewelry in 2019 and ended up closing my children’s clothing. Now I’m still doing jewelry and added in faith-based gifts. :)
I work full time. I am planning to start a business. I am giving myself 8 months to prep. Get material and make stuff. I want to sell crochet blankets. Fleece lined. Face washers. Sew tote bags . Make crochet bags. Sew other bags. Knit socks. Knit beanies. Knit scarfs. Random items like crochet kids clothes. Baby blankets. I want to get to the point where i can work 2 days at home and long term better my sewing so i can do the business full time.
This have been super helpful and has confirmed that I'm on the right track to launch my Etsy shop side business. Thank you for sharing! It's amazing how much of this stuff I figured out just by seeing what other sellers are doing and what tools they're using.
Thank you so much for this! I stumbled upon your video and I am so glad I did. I have been feeling very stuck lately with the overwhelm of launching my business. You gave me lots to think about and the confidence to get back on track with this dream of mine. Look forward to watching some of your content. ❤
Thank you so much for this amazing and informative video, I've been holding back on my business launching, because I've been scared that it wouldn't work out, but like you said, I won't know it till I try it, thank you again 💓 😊
This has to be one of the best videos I've watched on this topic. I do have a question, I am struggling if I should start with a DBA or just go to the LLC. I'm hearing that vendors think you are more reputable if you have an LLC when ordering products or for production? I've also heard that many have the DBA then end up at LLC in 6 months anyway? I don't have an etsy shop yet, do you have any thoughts on this?
Loved this video so much!! I think my biggest fear is the tax part when starting a business. Do you have any advice? Have you done a video dealing with that part of the business?
Hi sally . I love how you inspire us . I have thousands of questions but my biggest ones are about the woods , glue , paints that are best to use and I would appreciate your help as it is so overwhelming .
Do you have any thoughts or suggestions on return policies or other fine print for an arts/crafts/t-shirt online shop? Absolutely great content and I have subscribed and will share with my partner; thank you!!!
Ten+ years ago, Etsy was pretty good. These days, it's just another eBay. Cheap stuff made in China is most of the listings, even listed as 'handmade', lol, or factory made things with an initial printed on (in no way is this handmade). I stopped selling on Etsy years ago, I can't compete with people selling mass-made stuff. I also stopped buying because it's clear I can't trust that what's sold on Etsy is handmade.
Time is my problem. I work a full time job and I don’t get off until 6 P.M, so it’s not easy to run to the post office to drop off packages. I’m so tired after all the other things I need to do after work. It’s hard to even get enough time to do my crafts to sell. I’m so frustrated 😢.
Do you have door dash in your area? They pick up and go to post office. In some places the post office will pick up packages. I not sure if I remember right but the post office has a business section that you can schedule bulk pick ups. Just trying to help. Maybe pay a friend to do post office runs for you? Or a family member? My sister in law paid my daughter to do runs to post office for her. Just some ideas
I notice that you press white t-shirts do you press black as well? I have several customers that ask me to press color images on black t-shirts and I am looking for good ideas on the best ways to do that or just stay away from that? Your thoughts on that please?
I am a SAHM and trying to figure out how to sell my handcrafted items without selling at markets (they are flooded in my area, and it's 116° in AZ right now). What are the best places online to sell without having to start a website? I have TikTok and hate Etsy. Are there any other options for makers?
Shopify - I'm looking into that. eBay but my sales are slow there. Look for events that are inside. Maybe make your own events inside community centers or church buildings or ask chamber of commerce for places to do inside markets. It gets 116 here too in West Texas. I looked into neck ac units portable acs (put wall panels on your tent and have ac but you need electrical provided or some sort of generator. Out door fans those big ones etc. Just trying to be helpful
I dont want to be at my job anymore. I want to start my business so i can work my own hours. I havent been feeling well, and having to wake up at 3 doenst melake me feel any better 😂. Thank uou for this video. Love your content.
This is the video I’ve been trying to look for. Can you do the same thing with videos from tiktok and repurpose them from someone else and put it on yours?

Plenty of stuff is still handmade and plenty of people are successful making their own items
Your videos are always helpful! ❤

I’m kinda in the same boat. I wish I could team up with someone but ….. well you know

Hi Sally, Can you make a video about why you never moved your business to a commercial space? Also can you touch on hiring help?
Thanks!
I'm so glad that I came across your video. So very informative. I know BOA said needed 5k for a business account. What?! As a small business how?

Hey sallie. I have a question. Is your digital and physical together or separate?
Very encouraging

So what if you haven't LLC hasn't made any money yet how will it be effected during tax time

Ok you REALLY don’t look like a grandma!!!
Again, you talk about your Etsy shop and have links to all kinds of things BUT your Etsy shop. Why is that?
This is the video I’ve been trying to look for. Can you do the same thing with videos from tiktok and repurpose them from someone else and put it on yours?
Thank you for the detailed information.
