Hey Elizabeth the tracks opening are in between a 1/2 and 3/4. It may fit up to a 3/4 inch screen door but it would be tight. Our door is a 1/2 inch. Thanks for watching. Seize the day each and every day-Are Jay.

would this track work for 1/2-3/4 in screen doors too? or would it be too wide.

... and unless you buy a whole screen door ... I can't find that little $1 plastic strike at Home Depot nor Lowes.
