Odissi Bilahari Taranga Pallavi by Kumkum Mohanty Ratikant Mohapatra with Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra

I recorded this Bilahari (Taranga) Pallavi by Kumkum Mohanty and Ratikant Mohapatra at the Odissi Research Centre when it was housed in the home of Pt. Hari Prasad Chaurasia. . I didn't edit out the mistake and restart near the beginning as it was charming and natural. With Guruji playing mardala after they had rehearsed it, I believe you can accept this as a definitive version of his choreography of this beautiful pure dance item from the Odissi repertoire which brought back more gotipua technique into the body movement. Pt. Bhubaneswar Misra accompanies on violin.

It's easiest way to connect with my lord jagannath. I m very unfortunate that Icouldn't dance because of my accident. This video makes me very emotional that I couldn't hold my tears😢...

thank you. I am fortunate that I had a super-8 camera years ago and was able to transfer to VHS tape, then VCD and finally digitized some during Covid lockdown. Hopefully I'll post more when I get time
