Just want to thank the Hoselink team for this video. It's the ability to maintain products like this that make them a worthwhile purchase compared to more cheaply made products that need to be thrown out after the first fault. We will keep buying Hoselink!!
I see and put in a safe place the O rings that came with our hose links in thier packaging. Haven't had to use them yet. But i was curious just in case. Been 4 years now : )
Hi. How would you repair a tiny pin-size hole in the hose itself? There's about a 3/4" swollen bubble around the pin-size hole. We're not sure what caused it or how long it's been like that, but we'd like to repair it.
Hi! And thank you for your question. Your best bet would be to cut out the part with the hole in it. Watch this video for details: th-cam.com/video/UPufRdkKdG8/w-d-xo.html
Are replacement orings of different quality from the original ones? I got about a year out of the original ones and would hate to think that these are yearly maintenance items.
Hi John, thank you for your comment. They are the same quality o-rings; however, you should get much longer wear from them. We recommend reaching out to our customer care team to discuss further.
@@hoselink thanks, I figured it was silicone lubricant but wanted to make sure. Only other thing I was wondering about is if the main retractable hose needs replaced. I didn't see replacement hoses on the website. Thanks
Hi! The o-rings have different size for the different fittings. You can find them on our website by searching 'o-rings' and you'll see there's 12mm and 18mm sizes.
@@hoselink yes, i can search for 12mm and 18mm, but what are the ones in the middle (at around 1.00 minute mark) that he replaced in this video please? Diameter and thickness would be great.
Hi @@Siminit give our customer service a call and they will help you with this. You can give them a SKU number, 3306, and ask for a O-ring for Hose Reel Elbow Join.
@@hoselink I did contact customer service and was told dismantling the reel was a safety hazard because of the spring. So the item is junk for a leaking hose connection. Not a thought through product.
@@redreuben5260 Hi again! We always try and help out as best we can, is your product still under warranty? And are you based in Australia or in the USA?
@@redreuben5260 Thanks! Ok, watch this video and see if it will help you. You do need a replacement part - a Fluid Connector. You'll see the part in the video. th-cam.com/video/CtD9Rn2CWPg/w-d-xo.html

Straight and to the point. This was a very helpful video. Verbal and visual combined worked well.
What lubricant can I use if I don’t care to order yours?

I was wondering what kind of lubricant is used on the o-rings. Is it simply plumbers grease or something different?
It's a silicone lubricant that you can get directly from us or your local hardware store.

I used Vaseline and it worked fine.
Hi John,

And what if it’s leaking from the inner reel connection?
