Hozelock Autoreel Repair

On this particular reel I’m repairing a split hose, but this would also help with disassembly / reassembly, hose replacement, belt replacement or maintenance of the Hozelock Autoreel.
Hozelock say these are not customer repairable, but as this video shows, some elements are, so long as you have the correct tools.
I’d recommend a long T20 screwdriver (security or not - doesn’t matter) and a screwdriver or trim tool.
I’d recommend this for any competent DIYer, but please remember this is advice only and not intended to be an instructional video. I won’t be held responsible if you do something wrong and springs fly everywhere.

Dip the hose end in a glass of boiling water for 30secs; that makes it easier to slip onto a tight fitting.

You usually have a hose lock connector at at the end of the hose anyway. Just get a double connector and then you can use the cut section with suitable connectors if you need a longer length.

I am after a spring for mine, any idea as hose lock won’t sell me one.
