What lovely pillow finishes 🤩 Be proud 😊 Melissa’s designs are so sweet, I could stitch almost everything she designs! Exciting to hear about the start palooza next year 💃🕺💃 Those types of events are so fun to watch. It’s the gathering of the floss that I get stalled out on. I’d need a year to kit up everything & then the next year to start everything 😂 I really enjoy when you share about Newfoundland life, one of my bucket list places to visit!!!
Thank you so much. I am getting excited about next year, though that means winter, and I want to enjoy summer first. I usually stitch from a master set of dmc, so I don't usually kit thread unless it's specialty or I need multiple skeins.
Wow! Love your finished pillows. I need to get better at doing those. I also have a Biscornu and think that The Tiny Modernist might have a good video tutorial on how to finish one. So happy you are going to Gitta’s in Port Credit. I have been there and it is a lovely LNS. Enjoy Toronto. I lived there over 35 years until I retired to Barrie. BTW: congrats to your son. Sounds like he is having a great year. Cheers.
Thank you so much. I still think I have a ways to go with my pillows, I can do them when I have trim to cover my stitches. My sister did the final seam on the ones without trim. I think the video I saved was Catapiller Cross Stitch. I can't wait to go to Gittas. It's been at least 18 years since I've been to an LNS. Aaron has had an up and down year, but he's enjoyed participating in Special Olympics
Your pillow finishes are very lovely…you are creating a wonderful pillow collection. The biscornu back, perhaps a paw print in each corner for a little fun? I have a past student who now teaches at the university business school…she is commenting that the kids who didn’t get the exam finals on a full term of material are really struggling to know how to study in her classes. Right now it is a particular challenge because she is working with the kids who did grades 11 & 12 in Covid. Have a fabulously stitchy week.
Thank you, I am having fun with the pillows. It's hard to know what's best for testing. Lots of kids have test anxiety, and putting the pressure of a single test being worth half your mark is a lot different than one worth 15%. It's also different at university than high school, but I can understand the students who went through during covid not having the study skills.
@@stitchingontherock I agree…not all kids need or handle the big exams well while others would be best to have them. The educational system cannot be perfect for everyone.
@gilliankirby3752 awesome, always great to find a Newfoundland stitcher. If you're on Facebook, we have a little group called Cross-Stitch NL, we do online get togethers once in a while, and if we really get our act together, we meet in person.
Lots of cute finishes! Love the floss names, so fun!
Thanks

I am sorry I am late watching your video but I hope you have a wonderful trip. Fantastic finishes!
Don't worry about being late, I'm just watching videos from March on some channels I follow.
Love your pillow finishes! I love all of Melisa’s patterns and would love to do some of the salt boxes one day too. Beautiful works!
Thank you. They are fun, easy to stitch, and you are able to make changes to suit your style.
