Are you kidding me??!!! These are some of the best tutorials for anything I've seen online! I started this series thinking okay I'm just going to learn about the nodes that exist within dynamo but here I've learnt so much more! Thank you for this amazing series it has been really helpful. You're a great teacher dude :')
@Para DOx, thank you for your feedback 😁 We're happy to know that you consider our course one of the best courses out there! Just out of curiosity, have you tried out our free Revit Add-ins? 😉
This is the best channel out there to learn Dynamo in detail. In my experience every other channel I saw just jumped into it so fast without explaining details that one could easily lose attention of what was going on. I am glad that I learned a lot from these videos already.
Hi there... I have seen a lot of videos of Dynamo, but1st time that I see this technique.. and the explanation of the code block. thank you. I will see all the videos.
Great tutorials. I have a question...when I edit the custom node as you did and I return to the *dyn file, when I move the mouse to StartNumber for example I see Default value : 0 (disabled) and so my default values for the curve are not displayed. How can I fix this? Thank you.
I was having the same problem with this, but if you hover over StartNumber (or any of the other inputs), then right click, there should be a check box for "Use Default Value". Check that box, and then it should work.
Hi DiRoots Team, your Dynamo Tutorials are very helpful. I had tried to create multiple Sincurves with variable horizontal translation (as you did at the 24:40 th min of your lesson), but i get a single curve connecting the horizontal transition points. I had even tried suggestion from previous comment, to group the inputs. Even then it didnt work out. could you help me regarding this :)
Why did you emphasize that the number of the points on the curves should be equal for creating the surfaces? I tried it by myself and I created the surfaces with the unequal numbers of the points. Also, I was able to create a surface using the curves with different degrees but you said the degrees have to be equal. Am I missing something? Could you please explain the technical depth behind this?
Awesome tutorials! But I am encountering a problem. I am not able to use a range of numbers for y coordinates. If I use a range of numbers on the y coordinate all I'm getting is single points on the y axis, whereas if use just a number slider for the y coordinate the curve moves on the y-axis as intended. But as soon as I add range values the curve goes away and just the points are visible on the y-axis.
@@turbo64011 we've already allocated a lot of resources to make this free course and, as you may understand, we can't provide free consultancy. If you find the answer post it here as it may be useful for other people 🙂
Have you found the solution? I still can't add range for the y value and have more than one sine curve. It will only change the direction of my sine curve, but not create multiple sine curves.
Great course and amazing teacher! Please can DiRoots advise if it's also suitable for other Dynamo versions. Lesson 3 default values not working for me and I would like to know if it because the version. Thanks in advance for your time.

@@DiRootsNews Wow, Thanks a lot for you prompt response. It looks like my Dynamo has disable default values... "Default Value : 0 (disable)" so I will look around how to change that. Thanks again and congratulations for the course.
When i create the custom node and save the file and reopen it , dynamo doesn't recognize the custom node and all the commands are lost behind that custom node...any help?
Hi at some point during video my dynamo crushed, I saved a script and added a custom node to library but after re-opening dynamo I get an error. Missing custom node. Load? I cannot edit a custom node, its empty. Should i first save a string naming in custom node then open a project "lesson3"? My flow was as follow: I was working on lesson two, made a custom node, saw it in library, but didn't save it, closed a window with it, leaving me with just a lesson3.
To answer my own question: 1.Yes you have to save custom node as .dyf file in my case in definitions folder 2. In 2020 and higher for a node to work on default values you have to enable it by pointing on a name and accepting use default value then the name changes into cursive and it works as in the video
hi diroots, when we close this script, the next day when i am opened that custom nodes are shown in red color? and script is not executing please tell me the solution to sort this?
