So there seems to be some confusion as to what I said in the voiceover. This channel is not changing, it will be here, I’m not changing it one bit. I see the need for these long instructional videos and I will be here for you each week! My plan is it to start an additional channel that will feature the same project but in a condensed format for people that don’t need or want the instruction. I’m sorry for any confusion that this may of caused! I love my loyal subscribers, safe turning! Jim
@@SpragueWoodturning I think a second channel would be quite popular for those who just want to see "the magic" happen. It would be ideal for those who just want to see a hunk of wood turn into an amazing work of art in a dozen minutes. I have noticed there are turners who quite successfully entertain their subscribers with witty banter, jokes, and antics (Nick Zammeti for example) but again, I think those turners are more focused on entertaining rather than instructing. I personally am not a wood turner, but I love watching it done. I am one of those strange people who enjoys learning things so I'm quite snug as a bug in a rug not only watching "the magic" happen, but also learning from you *how* it happened. I'm one of the weirdos who watches documentaries for fun. 😂 I love your channel and appreciate all your hard work and that you patiently explain so much. I also think your idea to start a second channel would do very well. (I managed to worm in a bug reference in honor of this video's project. 😉) As one of your American subscribers I'm especially looking forward to both your July 1st and 4th videos. 👍
I thought the distinction you made was clear. I like these long videos because the turning is so soothing to watch, and I love to see the beauty which emerges. The information is fine too, it's interesting. So I like the long ones for entertainment; and I suppose short versions would have an attraction for many people. Thanks!
I don't think I would be watching your shorter edited video's. I enjoy being able to see just how much craftsmanship goes into turning and creating a piece of work the way you are doing it now. Thanks for sharing your abundant knowledge with us who just have no idea how much work goes into everything you do. Thanks Dudley from South Africa
Jim, this old retired carpenter from Alberta, that is just beginning turning, gets a lot of useful information from your videos as they are..I can see where some would appreciate a shorter version, but, I have the time to watch it all.. Very nice..
I am a turner with about 15 years of turning experience and i really enjoy your commentary. The only reason I skip forward is limited internet service.. I am sure others would like shorter videos but I appreciate the full length versions. Thanks for sharing them.
I am wood turner and look forward to the instructional videos with the discussion. Finding these while we were enduring COVID-19 was the one positive thing that came of it. Although my wife says haven’t you seen that one already. I am amazed that the ten minute format gets 1.2 million subscribers. It must as you said draw a different audience. You should try it.
I enjoy your watching. listening. It can be mesmerizing. I enjoy listening to your voice as well and your thought processes. I am a fairly recent widow. The company helps.
Beautiful. I don't turn wood. I'm a musician, but I definitely recognize the talent that all you woodturners have. I also enjoy hearing what you're doing and why. It gives a good, personal touch to your videos.
I like the way you are doing right now. I wouldn't be very interested in the shorter version. I'm a beginner and I come for the instruction. Great videos I look forward a new one. That bowl is awesome. As always thanks for sharing 👍 😊 👍
I am not a wood turner, however I am a maker. I have various interest and do many different products. I like your video's as they are. I have picked up some ideas and tips from you that I have used in some of my projects. Keep up your talented work.
The videos will remain the same, I’m just going to start another channel that will have short video’s of the project for the people that don’t want the bla, bla, bla. Thanks!
Awesome bowl! One of the reasons you are my favourite to watch is all the talking, I really appreciate the information / explanations and the way you give your opinion on tools, finishes….. keeps me looking forward to the next video just to see what you are going to create!
I hear what you're saying but I come here for the insight into the process--I think you're right that some would enjoy the condensed entertainment, but I'm sticking around to see the process and the issues and fixes--every one is different!
The long version will always be done by me, I now see the need for that! On the second channel it would just be a condensed version of the same video for non turners and such, thanks
This bowl is quite interesting. The choice of colour complements the wood elegantly. The random pattern from the bugs is a welcome change from large areas of resin. Thanks for video.
Myrtlewood grows only in Oregon, USA, and in Israel. My father-in-law bought Myrtlewood burls in OR and made wall clocks out of them. Used up a ton of Varethane to coat them. $$$$.
Another brilliant video Jim, the reason i subscribed to your channel was due the voice over giving us a clear description of the whole process. Over the last six months i have learnt and put into practice some of your methods helping me and i am sure other subscribers. Keep safe and keep doing these informative videos.
Sir, I enjoy your videos exactly as they are. That said, per your question around the 20min mark, I'm an analytics person, and like your idea about the 2nd channel. Let me recommend, a potentially simple solution. All of your pieces are great and you currently do a lot of video editing (speeding things up, talk overs, etc. ), which is all very informative and helpful to the aspiring turner', but may dissuade some watching for ASMR purposes. Therefore, rather than having to create separate content for each channel, just provide two separate edits. This channel (like it is, or shorter to target a different audience), and the other would include all that footage that currently either speeds by (i.e. minus the time lapse), ends up on the cutting room floor, or has speak - overs. Analytics suggest a large media market in ASMR related engineering and hand-made craftsmanship. Again, I enjoy your videos currently, but you probably have the footage you need already to appeal to/target a potentially larger audience. 👍 keep up the good work!!
I shot this video sometime ago and seriously debated putting the two videos on my channel but thought people might get confused. This is why I thought of starting a totally different channel for the faster condensed videos. Thanks for your input! Jim
I’m a beginner and love your videos. Sometimes I watch them several times and always have the option of skipping ahead to get to the part I want to focus on. Thank you for these!
Jim I like things just the way they are when you explain everything you’re doing it helps new turners like me very much your projects always look great
As a fairly new wood turner I watch a lot of guys here just to learn some different techniques and I have used a thing ot three from yer channel so I enjoy all the teaching that ya do. Keep up the awesome work! Thanks again and as always loved the project!
I love the detail and voiceover. If I am in a hurry, I can move it ahead myself. Your videos are the absolute best of all that I watch. Have a great weekend!!!
Hi Jim. Please keep on talking. Your down to earth talk is one of the reason I watch your show. I feel I stand beside you and learn. Looking forward to hear more from you. Be well. Ludwig
Additional option on wormy wood (if solid) is to turn the bowl, and remove the surface frass with air, brush, and/or pick. Then brush or paint a fast resin on in stages to fill the now cleaned surface holes. Still takes time, but uses less resin. I heat treat my wood or run it through the pressure pot dry to make sure the bugs are dead. Give the short option vids a try and see how they are received. May not be worth the extra editing time, but then you will know! 10-20 is my preferred, unless it is a step by step which requires more full detail. Btw, bowl turned out great.
I’m not interested in woodworking myself, I just like watching the beautiful art you create. Myself, I enjoy the voice over. You get to hear/learn so much, especially about the types/figures of wood prior to the project. Yo also get snippets about the person themselves which draws the viewers in and make them apart of the channel by getting to know you. I get lost in watching all the steps so I’m oblivious of the vid length, I like the content exactly as it is. I’ve been binging your channel since YT suggested it, never knew/realized this type of vids were out there.
I think I would have called this video, 'More Hole than Bowl'. 😂🤣😂 I look forward to your videos coming out each week. Don't need to change a thing for me. 👍
I appreciate your thorough discussion about bowl finishes - pros & cons. It will be interesting to follow your further exploration. Thanks for letting us learn with you.
This bowl is beautiful! Your color choice is perfect! It’s worthy of owning! I really like the voiceover that you do. You answer the questions I have. I find your videos enriching. I can see the value of short videos for the viewers who are not interested in the full process of how or why something is created. There is also something cathartic about watching something being created with or without ASMR. I am guilty of skipping over portions in other videos where the presenter strays off topic or when random movie clips or other platforms are in inserted. I tend to avoid the channels that do that.
This is exactly what I was talking about, that’s the type of viewer I want to attract. I will always do the longer ones, I now see a need for it! Thanks 😊
I’m eighty two years old would love ❤️ to do what you do , but a stroke won’t allow me to.. So I enjoy watching your beautiful work .. Thank you very much for the videos. Donna!
Quote of the week: “Should have used mold release, Jim.” Far be it for me to advise but I find paste wax helps lubricate my band saw jig 🌞, although mine is very basic compared with yours. Keep up the good work, I love your expertise and voice over
I like your videos, I am a carpenter by trade and like watching people who knows how to use their tools. You are not doing anything that I cannot but you are doing it better and I am striving to get up to your standard. (I am getting there). Very nice bowl.
Love the idea of a shorter video option, good idea. I imagine I will continue to watch the longer more instructional one. Thanks again Jim, love turning spalted Myrtle when I can get it!
Great result. As for video length - I often go for shorter videos, but there's a few channels where I watch the longer videos cuz I know I'm guaranteed to learn something - yours is one of those. To me, it's worth the extra time - I just watch them when I'm in a position to dedicate the time and maybe make some notes.
I really like the long version. I really enjoy listening to instructional videos vs the fast speed videos. Haven't missed a video yet Jim. Keep up the great work!
I watch your video's becaust it's very relaxing watching people making beautiful things, even though I could never afford one myself, your stuff is sublime!
My attention span is getting shorter but I watch your videos all the way through and thoroughly enjoy them. With the marvels of modern science people can always increase the speed up to two times should they wish. I am happy to sit quietly for forty minutes or so in awe watching a master at work 🌞
Interesting wood and once again thank goodness for epoxy. I enjoy your talking and voice overs. They explain your method to your wood turning madness. Your tips and explanations help me to learn.
I think that your videos are great the way they are but you do what you think is best. I am not a wood Wright or turner but I do like details on how your bowls are made. You are really talented and thanks for sharing your ability, tips, etc., with your viewers.
Interesting project! I'm not a turner, just a want-to-be, vicariously enjoying the art, through your videos! You know better than I, how much I've save in buying a lathe and cutting tools, this way!! LOL!! Surprised you say, 2-3 good cuts and then needing to sharpen tool again!! That's an extremely short live span on your tools edge!! Especially interesting, watching you is, I'm left handed too!! Didn't realize it made a difference!! I'm liking the details of, how-to explained!! Think, if folks want to see end results, they'll just fast forward through to end!! Great looking bowl and finish work!! NO!! It's ART!!! Not used for salad!!
It’s not easy being a lefthand turner, all the tools are made for righties, if your great with both hands then your fine. The 20” General I work on has lefthand threads on the outboard end so you can stand in front of the work comfortably and do our left handed awesomeness, lol. Carbide is where it’s at when dealing with theses resin/wood combos. The Hercules is an awesome tool and highly recommended it. Thanks 🙏
I sure don't mind the length of your videos, in fact I really like how informative they are. I make things that take months so long processes are right up my alley.
I watch your entire videos and don't mind them lengthy and detailed. A condensed version would be cool to go back over sometime in the future to remember certain tricks, techniques. My main hope is you keep doing what you're doing!
Jim, I like the way you explain what you are doing as you are doing it!! I watch your videos to learn how to do woodworking! I like the long versions. 👍👍👍👍👍
I love these complex videos. I’m a wool falter and make wool bowls. I’m hooked on watching all of your videos. Would not prefer a shorter version. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I think the second channel is a great idea. Personally not a wood turner or necessarily interested in the details, but I do enjoy to watch things being made, and also find the sounds soothing. If you do another channel I wouldn't speed things up and i would make the sound of the work being done as clear as you can. I follow some "restoration" channels for similar reasons. ASMR for many.
As an novice wood turner I really appreciate your video and some of the banter and chitchat on how you create things the marble trick was pretty awesome I'll have to remember that for future projects that I do. As far as the condensed version I think that those would be nice to see as well
I get a lot of useful info from your videos as they are. As the nearest club to me is over an hour drive away I've learned most of what i know about turning from videos, reading, and practice. Keep up the good work with your videos.
Hey, I watch a lot of turning videos, like a real lot. I prefer the instructional channels that explain and talk about what they are doing along the way. A lot of the channels I subscribe to do have multiple channels, or a repeat of videos on the same channel for a faster and less talking version. Its a good idea to give the viewer a choice. For myself, I am a turner and I like to pick up tips and tricks and also inspiration to work on things myself, hence I watch full videos. But there are also going to be people that just want to see a quick demonstration of how the project went from log to beautiful art in a quick process. So, I think second channel is a great idea for that. But please keep doing these full ones, I watch every minute of them. On another note, I found when using wood with bug holes like this, pouring the resin and then vacuuming it for 10 minutes or so works much better than just the pressure pot like you did here. The vacuum chamber sucks all the air out of the bug holes and makes the resin replace it. Once vacuumed then you still put it in the pressure pot after for it to set. Vacuum chambers are pretty cheap and I find mine invaluable for my projects. Thanks for all your hard work running this channel
This is exactly what I want to do! This channel won’t change one bit, I like making these instructional videos. The vacuum chamber is a great idea and I wish I had of thought of it! Thanks for watching!
super late comment on an older video I just found your channel and am not a woodworker at all but I love watching turning with all the explanations. I don't like watching without commentary and explanation. really enjoying your videos.
Most us are not lucky enough to have access to the equipment that you are working with. Therefore for some of us a 20 minute video with short descriptions and some music will be very relaxing 😌. After watching we could get back to our day job 😀.
THAT BOWL LOOKS AWESOME KEEP UP THE FANTASTIC WOOD WORK TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE PEACE BE WITH YOU AND YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS TILL NEXT TIME MY FRIEND
i completely enjoy your videos the way they are Jim. there's lots of insightful tips in them. I haven't been turning all that long so constantly search the web for ideas. Yours are some of the best.
Love the work. To answer your length concerns. I’m one who likes the length of them and the details. Types of tools, reasons, etc. I’ve learned a lot from watching them. Even when you make a mistake or cut to deep, they show the progression of your work. This one I loved the new tools and new wood that you worked and how you approached it. Even at the end when you said how you wanted to change your interior marbles to say a rice. That’s good feedback to hear, I’d personally try dried beans or cooking beans (for blind baking tarts).
This channel will remain the same, I see a need for theses instructional videos and will continue to make them each week. I want to start an additional channel that features the project in a condensed form. The beans are a good idea too, thanks!
Hi Jim, As a woodturner as well I will be sticking with this channel. I really enjoy and appreciate the detail you provide and you sharing your knowledge and experience. Thank you.
Just what I prefer. I understand that this was 3 years ago, but I personally like the long form for the simple fact I'm learning more than I could ever in a short form. For years I worked at a saw mill where pallets were made as a driver. I did many different things there and learned a lot about wood and there grains. I'm currently looking to start turning wood works and possibly using epoxy resigns. Just need to find a space to start my wood working at.
Voiceover vs Jim-quicky I like the voiceover because I’m very interested in wood turning. Am I ever going to do wood turning? No. I’m old, I watch these videos and one other guy only because I love the process and the finished masterpiece. As for this wood… I can’t seem to see the color of the resin soaked in any of the wormholes! It’s awesome looking, I just like color! Great job! Bravo!
Turned out really cool, Jim. I like the longer videos personally but I get that many people might not want to spend as much time as that on a video so a sped up version might keep more viewers. I for one will be watching the longer teaching versions. Thanks!
Your videos are relaxing and informative. Sometimes funny especially when hen you beat the crap out of your buckets. We are retired and my husband enjoys thus.
I like the long videos because it's 10times better than what's on TV. Your skill with the wood is amazing ,you're not boring and you produce great content.
Another wonderful bowl. Filling the wormholes with resin was a great idea. The video length is just right. I watch the woodturning videos for relaxation to see how it's done and how the bowl is made. Short videos aren't that relaxing because you have to be attentive all the time. Then this is not relaxation. :)
I love that you're so creative in coming up with ways to make things work when conventional techniques aren't enough. As far as your idea to start another channel, I think it certainly can't hurt, with minimal work on your end, you could produce two videos to please the masses. I personally, prefer the talking and tidbits of advice that comes with a professional alone in his shop talking to a camera, but I am the type of person that thrives on learning new things. As a single Mother, TH-cam University has saved my butt more times than I can count, from new hobbies, to car repairs and plumbing tutorials, channels like yours are invaluable. That said, I watch a lot of woodturning /woodworking channels and though I don't particularly like the sped up, no talk videos, it's very clear that someone does, because those channels seem to have the highest subscriber counts and views. Another upside to those channels is that there's no language barrier, and if you really want to see what they're doing you can watch in slow motion. Sorry this is so wordy, I guess I just felt like sharing, haha!
Neat looking piece with the resin in the bug holes. I understand that some may like to see shorter versions but I like the longer instructional videos myself. Glad to hear you will continue making them. I always wait until I have time to watch them all the way through.
As a novice woodturner, I appreciate your talking g thru your videos. I watch several of your companions also, and like David Adamsens videos. He doesn't talk so, I don't get his words of wisdom on mistakes and accomplishment. And I do like hearing the commentary
Jim
The confusion was apparently of my comment. No worries it was only a suggestion.
Trust me, there’s a ton of comments thinking I’m changing my channel, your not alone, lol.

Donna!
Thanks for watching Donna, I really appreciate it!
Quote of the week: “Should have used mold release, Jim.” Far be it for me to advise but I find paste wax helps lubricate my band saw jig 🌞, although mine is very basic compared with yours. Keep up the good work, I love your expertise and voice over
A better type of plywood would of been better, I might top is with melamine too. Thanks
Keep ur format.ur easy to listen to.its like ur in my shop.ive been turning for55yrs. And I learn a new trick every time.how bout three shows a wk
Sorry, three a week would be just too much for this guy, six a month is a chore. Thanks for watching!
Another great bowl, I only watch to see if you can get your castings out of the molds! HaHa!
I’m sure your not alone, haha. Thanks
@@SpragueWoodturning I like the long videos, but will watch the others as well.
I like your videos, I am a carpenter by trade and like watching people who knows how to use their tools. You are not doing anything that I cannot but you are doing it better and I am striving to get up to your standard. (I am getting there). Very nice bowl.
Great, glad to hear it! Thanks for watching!
The voice over is the best part?
Most people do, thanks
I agree with you sir, the voice over is the absolute best part of these videos...besides the exquisite artwork being produced!
@@SpragueWoodturning is it possible to do a piece in sparkly lime green? Or using a dark wood?
I do a ton of walnut on the channel, I guess I don’t cast any of it tho. Sparkly lime green, hummmm
Love the idea of a shorter video option, good idea. I imagine I will continue to watch the longer more instructional one. Thanks again Jim, love turning spalted Myrtle when I can get it!
I would like to get some myrtle that’s normal so I can see what it actually looks and turns like, lol. Thanks
Got it! Thanks.
I really like the long version. I really enjoy listening to instructional videos vs the fast speed videos. Haven't missed a video yet Jim. Keep up the great work!
Great, thanks!
I watch your video's becaust it's very relaxing watching people making beautiful things, even though I could never afford one myself, your stuff is sublime!
Thank you very much!
My attention span is getting shorter but I watch your videos all the way through and thoroughly enjoy them. With the marvels of modern science people can always increase the speed up to two times should they wish. I am happy to sit quietly for forty minutes or so in awe watching a master at work 🌞
Thanks Ray! I really appreciate it!
Interesting wood and once again thank goodness for epoxy. I enjoy your talking and voice overs. They explain your method to your wood turning madness. Your tips and explanations help me to learn.
Thanks Janet!
Not even a turner but love the craft so appreciate the long version with all the information you include.
Thanks 😊
I think that your videos are great the way they are but you do what you think is best. I am not a wood Wright or turner but I do like details on how your bowls are made. You are really talented and thanks for sharing your ability, tips, etc., with your viewers.
Glad you like them! Thanks
Thanks 🙏
I'm just enjoying to watch your craftsmanship. For me you can keep talking the way you'd like. Best wishes from nothern Germany!
Awesome thanks Christof!
I like your dialog it is informative and helpful. I wouldn't shorten it at all. We have the option to skip ahead if we want to. Thank you 😊.
Thanks Lynne!
I agree with most of the comments below, I value your commentary and insight. Given the choice I would take the time to watch the longer version.
Great, thanks 🙏
Glad to be able to binge on your old videos Jim! Great to see how your work and techniques have evolved over the years
Glad you like them! Thanks
I really love your work. I'm restoring an old Craftsman for my first lathe. Watching your videos has given me so much insight. Thank you!
Thank you very much!
I sure don't mind the length of your videos, in fact I really like how informative they are. I make things that take months so long processes are right up my alley.
Lol, thanks. This channel will remain the same! Jim
This is beautiful. I'm a sculptor, not a woodturner, but I love these long form videos.
Awesome, thank you!
I watch your entire videos and don't mind them lengthy and detailed. A condensed version would be cool to go back over sometime in the future to remember certain tricks, techniques. My main hope is you keep doing what you're doing!
This channel will remain the same! Thanks!
The length of your videos is not an issue for me I am an information hound and I enjoy your explanations
Thanks for watching
Jim, I like the way you explain what you are doing as you are doing it!! I watch your videos to learn how to do woodworking! I like the long versions. 👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you very much!
I personally really like the longer with explanations, and instructions. I find it helpful, and very interesting. This bowl turned out gorgeous. ❤
Awesome, thank you!
I love these complex videos. I’m a wool falter and make wool bowls.
I’m hooked on watching all of your videos. Would not prefer a shorter version. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Great! Thanks 😊
Should say wool felted bowls 🙄
I prefer the longer videos, Jim. I'm not a wood turner and like seeing how things are made, so I'll keep watching the longer videos.
Great! Thanks 😊
Got it! Thanks.
I am an artist - a painter. But I love beautiful things. Don't care how long it is - I like it. I can skip a little if I need to. Carry on!!!
Thanks 😊
As an novice wood turner I really appreciate your video and some of the banter and chitchat on how you create things the marble trick was pretty awesome I'll have to remember that for future projects that I do. As far as the condensed version I think that those would be nice to see as well
Great! Thanks 🙏
I like the current format as I look at you videos for entrainment, inspiration, how-to, and instructional. Thanks for sharing
Thanks Phil!
No.... don't shorten the videos. I love 'em.
This channel will remain the same, I want to start an additional channel that will have the condensed videos on it. Thanks.
I get a lot of useful info from your videos as they are. As the nearest club to me is over an hour drive away I've learned most of what i know about turning from videos, reading, and practice. Keep up the good work with your videos.
Thanks Dale, the long videos will always be here on this channel. Jim
Thanks for watching!
super late comment on an older video
I just found your channel and am not a woodworker at all but I love watching turning with all the explanations. I don't like watching without commentary and explanation.
really enjoying your videos.
Thanks! Nothing will change here, just thinking of making an additional channel for those who don’t want all the talking. Jim
Absolutely love the Ocean Cave. It is beautiful.
Thanks so much!
I love the looks and carving myrtle wood. The wormholes really add another dimension.
Thank you very much!
Most us are not lucky enough to have access to the equipment that you are working with. Therefore for some of us a 20 minute video with short descriptions and some music will be very relaxing 😌. After watching we could get back to our day job 😀.
Very true! Thanks
THAT BOWL LOOKS AWESOME KEEP UP THE FANTASTIC WOOD WORK TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE PEACE BE WITH YOU AND YOU AND YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS TILL NEXT TIME MY FRIEND
Thanks 🙏
i completely enjoy your videos the way they are Jim. there's lots of insightful tips in them. I haven't been turning all that long so constantly search the web for ideas. Yours are some of the best.
Awesome, thank you Ron
I enjoy watching how beautiful these bowls are The difference between wood greens
Thanks 🙏
The bowl turned out great. I really like listening to you. I'm still learning about turning. I almost always learn something. Thanks Jim
I will always be here for you! Thanks for watching!
Hi Jim, As a woodturner as well I will be sticking with this channel. I really enjoy and appreciate the detail you provide and you sharing your knowledge and experience. Thank you.
I will always be here for you guys, thanks for your support!
Great! Thank you very much!
Voiceover vs Jim-quicky
I like the voiceover because I’m very interested in wood turning. Am I ever going to do wood turning? No. I’m old, I watch these videos and one other guy only because I love the process and the finished masterpiece.
As for this wood… I can’t seem to see the color of the resin soaked in any of the wormholes!
It’s awesome looking, I just like color!
Great job! Bravo!
Thanks for watching!
I would follow both channels! I watch wood turning videos with no voice overs to help me sleep xD i find it soothing.
Thanks 😊
Turned out really cool, Jim. I like the longer videos personally but I get that many people might not want to spend as much time as that on a video so a sped up version might keep more viewers. I for one will be watching the longer teaching versions. Thanks!
Perfect! Thanks!
I enjoy the way you do your videos they’re very helpful please don’t change.
The long ones will always be here on this channel, thanks!
I enjoy watching your videos no matter how long they are. You make cool stuff and I enjoy seeing and hearing how you do things.
Great! Thanks 🙏
Your videos are relaxing and informative. Sometimes funny especially when hen you beat the crap out of your buckets. We are retired and my husband enjoys thus.
Great! Thanks for watching!
I like the long videos because it's 10times better than what's on TV. Your skill with the wood is amazing ,you're not boring and you produce great content.
Thanks! The long ones will be here, Jim.
Another wonderful bowl. Filling the wormholes with resin was a great idea. The video length is just right. I watch the woodturning videos for relaxation to see how it's done and how the bowl is made. Short videos aren't that relaxing because you have to be attentive all the time. Then this is not relaxation. :)
I’ve never thought of it that way, thanks
There was a lot of places for that resin to soak into. Really interesting bowl and the wormholes give it so much character.
Agreed, it’s a pretty neat piece, thanks
I never even thought about the language issue until you mentioned it, it now even makes the other channel a better idea, thanks 😊
Neat looking piece with the resin in the bug holes. I understand that some may like to see shorter versions but I like the longer instructional videos myself. Glad to hear you will continue making them. I always wait until I have time to watch them all the way through.
Awesome, thanks Stan!
As a novice woodturner, I appreciate your talking g thru your videos.
I watch several of your companions also, and like David Adamsens videos. He doesn't talk so, I don't get his words of wisdom on mistakes and accomplishment. And I do like hearing the commentary
Cool, thanks!
You said it best….a little busy but cool none the less. Nice trying to keep the look. Thanks Jim!
Thanks 🙏
I enjoy watching and learning how this is done. I'm a due it yourselfer and I find this very interesting and love seeing to outcome. Beautiful work!
Thanks for watching!
The video's with the talking are excellent, they tell you what you are doing with each step, great to watch
Glad you like them! Thanks
