What a set delivered by the Aussies on the Ellis Park stage in 1994 ! Amazing concert in the new Rainbow Nation three years after the end of the partheid era

Fantastic to see this. The Oils don't get the media coverage they deserve in Europe. The bbc bangs on about equality and new music....but the oils were DOING it for real, for decades! They've done more for the impoverished and unrepresented than any money banks media Corp or TV personality ... yet they are virtually unknown to the Coldplay generation.... why is that??
@@momofoscardog I think the main problem is they came across as a bit of a rent a cause sort of band. It was really only the second half of their career they really crystalized around specific causes, example the plight of indigenous Australians and wider ecological issues.
