I've been doing this sort of work for a long time, the wire and hanger is hampering your technique, IMO. I try to space my work like this from the wall via 3/4" square material hot glued to the back of the piece horizontally (which you could attach beforehand) and it gives the work some depth while hanging. No wire makes it evenly spaced from the wall...try it, you'll like it, not to mention saving a ton of time.
2 questions, where do you get your canvas prints from? I have only found Gatorboard that is .5" thick, yours appears much thicker. how thick is it and where did you purchase it? thanks in advance :)

This is great, can you share how you mount the wire, and what material you use?
