    Thanks for alerting me to that cotter pin that's supposed to go on the nut on the back hub. Mine didn't have that, so I put one in there. It was a little hard to see, but I think the chain master link clip was on backwards. You don't want the open end on the front part of the link, it could get knocked off if the chain rubs against something. If you flip it around, you won't have any problems.

    Hi Andy . This is Dave from Kariong near Gosford .I was watching your fantastic channel on TH-cam. When you were working on the Honda K2 750 four. In Parramatta Court they were cleaning the fire stairs with a single cylinder Honda pressure pump and .the security guards noticed on the security cameras everyone was wobbling around and look like they were drunk it was because of the carbon monoxide in the huge fire stairwell. While you're running the bike you should have some ventilation going as the carbon monoxide will get you and not trying to tell you how to do it. Having 26 years in the Fire Brigade we've seen it happen many times with generators and pumps in confined spaces. What have you done with Hannah she's the best Tool girl all the others are great . Hannah has best personality. All the best. Dave Wallace.

      Glad you said that Dave because I guy near us died recently while tuning his bike in his garage and this made me uncomfortable to watch it when the air started turning blue! would hate to see Andy come a cropper when he has so many great videos to make :)!

      Thanks Dave....agreed, unfortunately, on this occasion I couldn't open the big doors as I had Yamaha RoVs outside & they, like any other Yamaha product are not allowed to appear in my current videos unfortunately.
      The things we have to do to do what we want to do!
      Cheers Andy

      Thanks Polecat, yeah, I know....I did pop outside between camera moves so it wasn't that bad....but I do understand. Cheers Andy

    That bike is in remarkable shape for its age. Glad to see it turn over. Can't wait for second video to see what exactly is up with the second cylinder. I was leaning towards compression as well or a faulty cable on the spark plug. I just recently went through that where at idle it would run off 1 cylinder, but would clear itself out as engine got to higher rpms. It was a bad spark plug boot on mine.

    New number plate issued? I like the U.K. system regarding number plates. One thing less to worry about.
    Just need to work on insurance principles.

    Andy, nice investigation on that old bike, i really hope it's the spark plug fail, or the valves need adjusting. Great video! Look forward to part 2 :) many thumbs up!

    Very helpful information and enjoyable video, Is it a myth that in England the tester can not remove the gaiters to check the fork seals?

    • @AndyMechanic
      @AndyMechanic  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, same in New Zealand - no part can be removed to inspect....
      Thanks for your feedback. Cheers Andy

    check #2 valve sound's broke lot's of clacking from what i can hear on my lap top and if i remember right they had a drum bake in front but it has been a long time since i've seen one like 40 year's lol

    • @AndyMechanic
      @AndyMechanic  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Golly, I hope it isn't valve issue! Yes, was definitely noisy, noticed that when editing but noise lessened once engine was running on 4 pots.....
      Ep.2 is in the can - brake inspection, will be investigating cylinder #2 this coming Sunday if all goes to plan :-)
      Cheers Andy

    Nice video series, bro. It's sad the government requires your vehicle to be in a certain condition. Exhaust rust for example should be none of their concern. If it's a K2 that's 1972. The # matches the year. Look up the VIN.
