    I've seen surgeon hoping to schedule surgery soon(now discovered diastasis is 4 fingers and got hernia,I was shocked&upset but relieved as I knew things werent right). Worried about work to get time off (I love my new job) for fear of them not understanding or allowing. surgery&recovery,and not wanting

      O wow, I know how frustrating that can be. But having this surgery could also be the best thing for you! I'd definitely encourage you to maybe plan out a best time with your current employer (since you greatly appreciate this job) and coordinate that time frame with your surgeon. That time period could also allow you the time make small payments here & there, versus making such a large lump sum payment all at once.
      If you don't mind, please keep me informed on her journey... As I too had a very large diastasis &bumbilical cord hernia, so I know your pain.

    I had mine exactly 10 days ago and my back is still not altogether. How long do you think it took for you to start walking normal again?

    • @shelitaprioleau4996
      @shelitaprioleau4996  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Congratulations on coming to the other side! Well let's just say this, 6 months & 1 day post-op today & by end of day, I'm a little tilted forward, so definitely give yourself time. But I'd say after my 3rd or 4th week I was about normal. I say that loosely though. Please know I had a 5 finger gap diastasis so a very larger abdominal separation. So that can impact the time it takes a lot. But don't rush it & keeping moving often.

      So sorry that I'm just responding... Stated back working, lol and it's been some interesting adjustments.
      But as it relates to your request... I'm still me to TH-cam, but I'll most certainly figure out how to just add pictures.
      That's for following my journey!

    • @shelitaprioleau4996
      @shelitaprioleau4996  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a lot of stress to the back muscles the first few days to weeks post-op.
      I'd encourage you to speak with the surgeon about it, as well as your doctor that's aware of your back problem.
