I don’t think the low reception was because the audience was too busy watching other anime , it’s the creators’ job to attract viewers, not the audience’s fault for not being drawn to the show. The real reason, in my opinion, is that the anime version wasn’t very engaging for the general audience. It focused heavily on the surroundings, which works as an artistic choice and might appeal to a cult audience, but for viewers simply trying out a new anime, it might have felt a bit dull. In contrast, the manga balanced its environmental focus with a stronger emphasis on the plot, making it more engaging overall. As a dedicated Shuzo Oshimi fan, I appreciate the artistic direction of the anime and its perfect choice of outro , it was beautiful in its own way. But in the end, it didn’t quite capture the essence of Aku no Hana.
If you remember back in 2013 Anime like Monster used to be underrated, i think people used to have different mindset as whole and as culture now now people are getting more into psychological dark anime like Paranoia agent, Perfect Blue, serial experiment lain, Sonny boy etc which makes it obvious if they release their anime now days it will succeed 💪🏻 of course that's my own opinion
No, people didn't watch it not because other anime, but because weird rotoscoping style it has, if they just animate it normally following the manga style, it'll be much better
@@WhoTao00 don't you think the unique style of using real face makes it more creepy I honestly love the style that's make it little different than the rest
